Even more of a shock was the price, which was well below the prices we had encountered around Prague. The beer was also the cheapest price we had found. One called Vilem was... A complete surprise. In a more residential area... the food was exceptional. Probably the best I had on the trip to Prague. Even more of a shock was the price, which was well below the prices we had encountered around Prague. The beer was also the cheapest price we had found. One called Vilem was really nice and 45 CZK for 0.5l. Overall this place had a good atmosphere, good food and beer... all at a reasonable price. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Very authentic local czhek restaurant located in a residential area. Good portions, tasty food options, but expect a little wait on service since it's one man who seats u, takes your orders, serves your food and drinks and takes care of your bill. We had a lovely lunch on our last day in prague, pity didn't have opportunity to try more dishes on the menu.

Delicious food, cheap beer, nice atmosphere. Tried their specialties (pork knee and pork steak for meat eaters, cheese in potato pancake for vegetarians), much recommended, good price for big portions. The pancakes had 3 different cheeses inside, tasty and big, could have some salad though. We're very satisfied

Good but something I ate did not agree with me. I think it may have been the sauerkraut, which is the one thing my wife didn't have. I wanted to hurl after I got back to the hotel. An anti-gas pill and lots of walking around helped. Had the pork stew, potatoe pancakes, salad, draught beer and the rose wine. Otherwise ok food.

Excellent place for local Czech food. We ate 2 dishes that were quite unlike anything we have ever eaten. Service was very polite and prompt. We left very satisfied and happy with our meal. Prices are super great too. Can highly recommend. The dark beer on top is excellent and pairs well with the food.

The spicy goulash was great and you can decide yourself how spicy you want it by cutting up the pepper. The friendly owner was easy to understand and the beers were great. We ate for 3 people and had quite a few beers for only 36 euro, definitely worth to check out.

Very local Czech restaurant with such a reasonable price! I was little afraid to go in because it looked very local in the restaurant but the waiter was very friendly and the price is very low in this city. I paid only 11€ for all the great meal with beer! While you would pay double in other restaurant, I appreciate their effort!

Extremely welcoming - made space for me. Got some beer and the Goulash. Clearly a local favourite, lots of groups there having a wonderful time. Would love to come back.

Great food and great service. I will definetely reccomend that place to my friends. I had cheese in potato pancake. Pork steak with garlic, onion a and fried bean will blow your mind. Big portion in good price. It was a good choice.

A classical Czech bar! Very nice interior which gave a great vibe. Me and my friends got a peppersauce entrecote, and it was lovely and affordable for everyone! The guy serving was working very hard, and yet very nice to us! He was doing such a good job, and got a well-deserved tip from us! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting the lovely city of prague!

Went here twice because we loved the food and service the first time. We got the grilled sausage, a salad, a main entree and some potato pancakes. The server was very attentive and the food was delicious as well as being very well priced. The second time we can back, the service was wasn’t great as we had a different server. I would still come back to get food here again, I wish I could give this 4.7 starts because the food is fantastic so please come try it yourself.

The most incredible pork knee I've ever had. I'm salivating thinking of it now. Unbeatable prices, especially for the quality and portions of the food. We had the friendliest waiter. Would 100% recommend it to anyone!

Small little restaurant with cozy feel. Friendly staff and food was good. Staff speaks English very well. Can pay with cash or card. Would recommend getting the potato cakes as they are as delicious as the rest of the reviews say.

The food was amazing, I recommend beef with cranberry sauce. You can pay cash and card as well. The beer was as good as I expected. Very good place if you want to eat out.

I've been in Prague a week, and the food here is better than any 4.7-star restaurant that I've eaten at. Service was friendly but maybe a bit absentminded but overall an excellent dinner. Great porter also.

If you want to get local food this is the place. It looked intimidating in the begging without crowds storming the door but it's the perfect spot for some Czech food. Decent prices, lemonade and non alcoholic beer on tap as well. The area around is great for exploring.

Had our first meal in Prague as it’s near our hostel. Food was okay and I guess it’s a very local bar

Wonderful pub dinner! Bean and sausage soup, potato pancakes with olomouc cheese, greek salad and spicy pork goulash. Goulash was incredible, soup, too. The olomouc cheese was a challenge to our Amercian taste buds, but very interesting and well prepared. Service and ambience both excellent.

Low key traditional pivnice with friendly service and good food. Some live music (guitar and accordion) on my last visit early on a Saturday evening which added a surprising additional dimension. Not sure whether this is a regular thing.

My favorite restaurant in Prague. Great Pardubice Porter, old school heavy wood furniture, relaxed atmosphere, friendly, efficient but not overbearing service, food is very good, prices low.

This place was one very good Czech food place in Prague with really nice beer options. The table was full when we came, so the hist offered us wait in the standing barrel table while having the beer. We only waited abiut 15 or 20 minutes to get the table and it really was worth the wait! Rhe food was very reach in flavour and generous in portion. All of us loved our food. Definitely will come back whenever we visit Prague again!

Both of us had the daily menus of beef and dumplings and cranberries. The taste was good, but the portion was small although for only 145kc. The menu came with English translation and the restaurant met expectations for a local Czech restaurant. It is located right across the street a nice park with cafe. It is a cash only establishment and have nice service which is very fast.

best pork i had so far. Really cheap too. The staff is really nice. The atmosphere is a little bit grim and dark but the food and the service make up for that. Totally recommend
