I fell in love with this bookstore the moment I set foot inside. All the shelves and tables and chairs and nooks stacked with colorful English books were exactly what I was looking for. The loft made it that much more attractive and I spent over an hour browsing around. I ended up buying one of their awesome branded cloth bags and several books, some of which were recommended by the staff (there's a special section with their recommendations in the corner, look for it!). The girl at the counter was super sweet and helpful and quickly showed me where to find the titles I wanted. When I visited, the cafe area wasn't working, but I was perfectly happy with my book haul! 😷 Masks are required inside and there is a disinfectant at the door. ♿ The aisles are narrow and the steps make The Globe inaccessible for wheelchair users. Definitely recommend to book lovers!

This turned out to be my favorite place in Prague! You enter a bookstore, which by the way has a great collection of new and old books, and if you keep on walking it’s the coziest cafe/bar/restaurant! The ground floor has cute seating area and beautiful paintings on the walls and they have a mezzanine level as well. We had brunch one day and on the second visit (I had to come back!) we had nachos and beer. Everything very delicious, carefully prepared. Staff is very friendly too. Loved it!

Cute and cozy little cafe. The bookstore was smaller than I had expected from the reviews. The cafe in the back is very cozy with dark red walls. There is a garden at the back that is open in the summer. The service is great and it is a nice kid friendly spot. We came for bunch and the dishes were simple and well prepared. The fruit is a good portion and mix. The bagel with cream cheese was nicely toasted and the pancakes come in a sizable kids portion.

Amazing place for breakfast. Atmosphere and service is outstanding. Really enjoyed the American style breakfasts—pancakes are great. Really nice bookstore in the front. Look forward to joining for one of the Quiz nights in the future.

The place is very cool; the restaurant's atmosphere is warm, and the young staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious; we tried the French toast with syrup, and it was very tasty. The cappuccino was actually one of the best in Prague. The bookstore is very fascinating, and almost all the books are in English at reasonable prices. The vintage postcards were also very attractive, providing an interesting alternative to the low-quality souvenir postcards in tourist shops. Everyone speaks English very well. We had a delightful morning in this bookstore-cafe.

Checked out this cafe and book shop on a Saturday morning, had a lovely breakfast burrito and my pal had the salmon - he shared a bit and I can confirm it tasted fresh like the ones I hunt out the of the neighbours pond at home. Also got my claws into a copy of the ‘owl and the pussycat’ - what an ending; love does exist! Coffee, cat-friendly, and calm atmosphere - couple of pigeons to gaze at in the courtyard also. Kat the waitress was very attentive and kind and what a lovely name! 10/10 would visit again!

What a cozy café! Walk through the bookstore and into a backyard with a nice breeze and good vibes. The service was incredibly nice, and she made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was perfect. I ordered a cappuccino and California omelette 🥰

The staff was super nice and the coffee great. there's a good WiFi, non offensive music volume and a lot of electric outlets. They also have a daily brunch formula. Overall a good atmosphere for a short writing session

Really big selection of books and amazing staff. Everyone was so nice I felt like I was in my fav caffe in London. The patio/garden can use some improvements, but apart from that I loved the interior and I felt at home.

Chose it for its books, loved it for its service! Really loved the cosy red vibes inside. Lots of seating and a great menu. Fast service for how busy they were! Super friendly and professional baristas, made us feel so welcome (especially Gloria ☺️)! Really enjoyed the food, it was really tasty.

We went for the American Brunch that you can get (and ought to reserve) for an extended time on weekends (around 9-15h at the time of this review). Absolutely delicious, big portions, great funny and English speaking service in a nice café that also serves drinks and even has a book store in the front, where you can also choose to sit. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

This fabulous place became our families oasis when travelling to Prague from Australia. The food, service and ambience was great. Friendly welcoming atmosphere PLUS has an amazing bookshop full of English language books. We had a dinner and came back for a Sunday brunch. Avocado toast was amazing. Highly recommend this place for a visit. Thanks for looking after us!!

I got a recommendation for this place and it was as nice and cozy as I heard it would be. Staff were really friendly, coffee was great and all in all it was a good place to hide from the rain for a couple of hours. Bookstore part of the place is amazing and the lady who was working the front desk was super nice and helpful 😊 I will definitely be back when next time in Prague.

If you’re like me then you have everything you could ask for at this place: a variety of good food, COFFEE, books, and music/art. I think the picture alone says it all… 👍👍 Keep doing what you’re doing, Globe! Update: I’ve shared another picture of my latest brunch so that you can see the restaurant’s quality and consistency. Great work, Globe!

I was in Prague for a few days and decided to grab a book. Spent half an hour talking to the staff and finally chose a book they recommended based on my past reading. I’ve finally finished the book and had to go back and give this place a review because it was such a great recommendation. Also the cafe is gorgeous and a great place to have a drink and read.

This has to be one of my favorite places in all of Prague. The food is great (lots of vegan options!) and it's really cozy. The waitress was super nice and enthusiastic and seemed to love her job. Also, you can wash your hands to the tune of Toxic!

Really awesome place. Friendly staff, pet friendly, good people, and especially good food. And a lot of events around, when visited they had a pop quiz inside and a live music thing in the terrace. Sadly the bookstore closes at 6 so can't say anything about that part. So if you plan to visit the bookstore also, come before 6. Conclusion: loved it

Their bookstore is one my most favorite places in Prague. Nice, friendly, welcoming people. Give it a shot, specially if you are a foreigner. It's one of the few places that everyone speaks English.

Super nice place to study or chill with friends. A bit pricey but still affordable. They organise a lot of events like bingo, open mic, quiz etc.

A very good brunch place in a nice old restored library. Food is good but service is slow (30 min to 50 min) dont go there if you are on the clock but on a chill day.

Must visit cafe for a taste of home. Breakfast was phenomenal. Kid friendly environment. Kids rated the food as 40 stars! Very enthusiastic about their meals. Photo included depicts HALF the portion served! Best of all was customer service. Staff was friendly and VERY accommodating to our family needs. Also… gotta love the bathroom doors… they totally complement the decor!! 🤣🤣🤣

Please go and visit this beautiful independent bookshop selling a wide and varied selection of English books. The lady who runs the shop will be able help you choose, knows her stuff and is an absolute delight. If you haven’t read Midnight Library then buy that as well as something else. We need to support bookshops like this before they all disappear. I didn’t try the cafe but that looks good as well.

We had globe special scrambled eggs and breakfast burrito with cappuccino and fresh orange juice. The food was excellent bit pricy than other cafes in town but really tasty. I will go again for the burrito 🌯 and the vibrant atmosphere with a bookshop..

One of my favourite places to be whenever I want to come for a relaxing time, read my book with my coffee and/or eat a delicious brunch from the great variety that Globe offers. Great variety also in weekly events such as a really entertaining quiz trivia night or karaoke nights for the singer that you hide inside you! Note on the events: better make sure to have a reservation ahead, just in case. Amazing and most friendly staff as well :)

Usually a really good meal. Sadly breakfast wasn't up to usual. Vegan sausages weren't very nice, not like the usual ones, the scrambled tofu wasn't scrambled , just diced, and the potato hash on the side was very salty and greasy. Staff were friendly but upon paying by card was asked if I wanted to leave a tip, which I find rude. Previously food and service has been better here and have given a tip without being prompted.

Lovely café & bookstore. The staff was very friendly and their prices are fair. I’ve ordered their brownie and really didn’t expect much, and it was probably the best brownie i ever had. I will definitely be going back to try their food as well.

Went for dinner and there was a quiz happening. Two staff members on the door told us the quiz was free so we happily sat down and ordered food and drinks. Then the man running the quiz came to our table and started asking for money to feed his cat. This made us very uncomfortable, when we told our waitress she said the quiz actually wasn't free and we would both have to pay... Since we were already halfway through we agreed. The prices and food were good, and the waitresses were friendly but the quiz man made us feel very awkward.

Love the interior. When you go in, you are welcomed with a library area (where you can purchase books), and a little bit in, the café. The librarians were incredibly helpful and even suggested some books based on our choices. Service at the café was also excellent. Recommended for a quick bite to eat.

A place where you can find various books, magazines and smiling young storekeeper and bartenders;) my today's discovery are these books, among which the Honest Guide Prague is absolutely my favorite!😁

This is such an amazing combination. You have a bookstore with cheap books in the front. Secondhand and new in all genres. And then you have this cute 2 story Cafe with a little outside area as well where you can order a bunch if snacks ans uou can read or play some games like scrabble, card against humanity or Catan (they have a whole selection you can play for free)

Wonderful spot! We stopped in at the Globe on our first morning in Prague and loved it so much we went back the next three days. All the staff are wonderful and both the cafe and bookshop have a great atmosphere. Highly recommend and hoped to come back!

I came in on a Friday morning and the service right off the bat was phenomenal! My server, Vika, was a pleasure. I ordered a chai latte which my barista, Allie, made so well I drank it in basically one sip. My friend’s cappuccino shows the barista’s gorgeous latte art even better. The beyond burger was also phenomenal, compliments to the chef! I appreciated the Ukrainian flag and their overall vibes. Would come again :)
