Our experience was overall good, but you must check out for some things that do mark the difference in your stay: Likes 👍🏻: - the most amazing breakfast I’ve eaten in a hotel in all my traveling so far. Complete options for all kinds of people: vegan, gluten free, sweet tooth people, healthy people. - super comfortable bed and pillows - gorgeous view from the room - nice terrace with complementary drinks and pastries Dislikes ( but can be improved 👎🏻) - the staff and service overall needs improvements. They were cordial but not efficient. What I’m trying to say is, when you face an issue you must be reactive and try your best to solve it. I saw 4 different guests from different rooms and countries, trying to get answers from complaints and all I say was frustrated and impatient staff members not able to solve. - we asked for extra pillows and for our bed to be made and it never happened. Our room was never cleaned. - they charge you for toiletries and no free coffee or tea. - last, this is not a 4 star hotel. It is a 3 being generous. There is a lot of room for improvement. - a poor bird is caged in the lobby, in my personal opinion it is not welcoming. Please note that the good things are more but the small details can make you go down quickly.

On our recent stay at the Metropolitan Hotel we were very disappointed! We thought that we were booking a Superior room which looks very nice on their web site photos but our room was not even close. Incredible small, tv hanging off the wall making it difficult to walk past the end of the bed, no place to place luggage. and required going up several steps to get to the bathroom. When we ask the front desk to verify that we received a superior room they said we did but this room was again, not even close to being what they show on their website. (See photos and compare to web site) From that point on the front staff members and manager were stand-offish and really seem to portray that they could care less. We ask about a refund to the level of and economy room. And economy room looks better than what we were given but the day we were leaving the offered us a voucher for 40 euro on the next stay. It expired in one year. We would most likely be back that area in one year and there is no way We'd stay there!

So the good points first as there are few: location is very good with easy access to the old square and other local sites of interest. The breakfast is also good, lots of choice and good quality food, although the staff are bit too efficient at taking your plates. The rooms we had were tiny and smelt bad. There is no air conditioning at all in the rooms and being in Prague in~30 degrees meant little sleep and sweating even whilst motionless in the room. The staff were the worst part of the stay. Someone needs to remind them that they are in the ‘hospitality’ business. There was no hospitality. Staff at reception were heads down in their mobile phones and generally indifferent to your existence. The cleaning staff on checking out day literally stood outer our rooms watching us leaving to go get some things before breakfast, then on going to breakfast and then whilst getting out of the room. It was like being evicted by staring. On checking out the reception staff finished it off by holding us until they had phones up to the cleaning staff to confirm we hadn’t taken anything from the mini-bar. So whilst the location and the food were positives the overall feel of the stay and the quality of the accommodation were appalling.

Room was a bit small but got use to it and was always cleaned every day. Hotel situated in the perfect place in the middle of the tourist attractions. Plenty to do and some lovely places to eat. Bear in mind the closer you get to the square the more expensive it is to eat and drink. Roof top bar was a great hit with us as soon as we came back from sightseeing we would go and sit and have a drink up there. Amazing views. Great place to stay but as I mentioned the room was a bit small for us. Would also benefit from having tea/coffee making facilities in the room . Breakfast was lovely not often you get eggs, sausages served with vegetables but I guess that's us Brits . Some really nice touches to breakfast such as a chocolate fountain and honey straight from honeycomb. There was lots to choose from . Would definitely recommend to others !

Great location within the old town. Lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby. Our room was a triple as we had our daughter with us, the room was large and comfortable. The hotel was perfect for our stay, but it would concern me that there is no air conditioning if the weather had been hot outside.... Staff were very helpful and pleasant and there was a vast choice at the buffet breakfast.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The spacious rooms were wonderful, providing ample comfort and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Hotel metropolitan was a nice hotel, though in one night I barely explored it or was even in the room. There was no AC which is normal for much of Europe I suppose but there was a fan. Locks are key hardware so didn't get two keys. The room was spacious and comfortable (besides no air con). Staff were friendly and helped register my car to park around the corner! It was an easy walk to sight seeing near the river and clubs at night. I'd recommend the hotel to friends.

A very nice hotel with an excellent location. I was there at the beginning of September 2023. The staff is very friendly. The service is good. The beds are very comfortable. Small problems with a drainage in the shower cabin did not spoil my staying. The view from the rooftop bar is "the final flourish". You can see almost all Prague from there. It was worth visiting. And the breakfast was gorgeous. Everyone could find meals to his taste and in accordance with the diet prescriptions. Staying in the hotel left only positive impressions. Thanks to all the team!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of options for breakfast. I stayed in a standard room. I was surprised by how big it was! Lots of room, very comfortable. Even came with a complimentary bottle of wine! The hotel location is perfect. Centrally located in beautiful Old Town, so easy access to everything. There was some noise from outside at nighttime but I kind of expected it as I purposely chose to stay in a centrally located area on a weekend in Prague for pure convenience. The noise wasn't bad at all though; it didn't disturb me personally as it was only occasional. It's just something to consider for light sleepers. Even if you are a light sleeper, the hotel provide ear plugs beside the bed so you wouldn't hear a thing regardless. Definitely would stay again!

Excellent value for the price. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit sparse but nice and comfortable. Perfect choice for those who prefer smaller hotels.

Had a lovely stay. Very friendly staff, especially Jan. Book a superior room before you go, rather than relying on an upgrade on arrival. The other rooms don't get great reviews and the superior rooms aren't that much dearer. Good choices for breakfast and a perfect location as just a 5 minute stroll to the Old Town Square. A 20 minute stroll past lots of shops takes you to Charles Bridge. There's a little museum about Prague on the left just before you cross the bridge which was worthwhile visiting. It suggests 20 minutes for the visit but I would say it's more like an hour if you want to read all the interesting facts. I'd recommend a visit to the castle, it's a bit of a climb if going on foot. Also a tour inside the building beside the Astronomical Clock was really interesting. There are many churches and beautiful buildings in Prague, it's a beautiful city to visit. The James Dean restaurant, on the way from the hotel to the square has a good, reasonably priced menu. Some of the waitresses could do with a visit to the charm school but it's worth a visit.

Very friendly, well located for exploring Prague. The rooms were clean however we were in one of the very small rooms, it was ok to sleep, but that’s it. There was very little space to move around the bed, no storage space at all, suitcases became a hazard and 4 nights of sleeping there were more than enough. There are a lot of much larger rooms, but we booked a holiday with Easy Jet and I guess we got the budget room! The bar/cafe was ok, but they do an amazing breakfast, €16, very good value and a superb selection. Overall a nice place.

Everything was amazing at this hotel! The staff is very friendly and always willed to help with their support. They cleaned the room and changed the towels daily. The parking space was included in the price and there were plenty of spaces in the blue line. Tanya was very helpful and nice to us and she gave us a souvenir when we left. The biggest disadvantage I want to point is the noise, as the hotel is close to some club. Also, you have plenty of restaurants you can choose to eat and one cosy coffee shop right across the street. You are also so close to the city center. Overall, it was a great experience and we had a great time!

We have booked the hotel at a very last minute for our spontaneous trip to Prague. The hotel offered parking space and is pet friendly which is what we were looking for. We were greeted and looked after by Daniel who was super friendly and couldn’t have done enough for us. Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Thank you so much for having us and we will definitely be back 🤩

Nice place and fairly good location. The service by Alena was impeccable and grateful for her patience in a situation that she couldn't control. Biggest challenge with the hotel is parking, so if you have a vehicle you will want to just plan for some inconvenience. While staying say hi to Alena as she was wonderful on helping resolve are parking issues. Thank you Alena!!!!!

My stay at Hotel Metropolitan Old Town was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the heart of Prague's historic district, this hotel offers the perfect blend of traditional charm and modern convenience. The location is ideal for exploring the city, being within walking distance of major attractions. All in all, Hotel Metropolitan Old Town is a top-notch choice for anyone seeking a luxurious and convenient stay in Prague.

The hotel is in a good position within easy walking distance of the Old Town and near many restaurants and upmarket shops. The hotel seemed a little tired in parts but the rooms were clean and tidy. Our son and daughter-in-law and two sons had a family room which was like an apartment, with three bedrooms, a lounge/kitchen and bathroom. Our room was quite comfortable but the safe had been locked by a previous visitor and the management were unable to open it, so we couldn’t use it during our stay. The reception staff were helpful and all spoke good English. The breakfast was extensive and very well laid out. There was something for everyone and vegetarians were well-catered for.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Prague! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made my experience even more enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, providing a cozy retreat after exploring the beautiful city. I appreciated the great service and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague.

It was a wonderful experiement. I stayed 3 days with my mom. The Hotel is close to everywhere. Rooms are clean. Employees were so good. Especially there was a man called Ahmed, he made me feel I'm home and safe. Because he is so friendly and polite. Also he showed me Prague's best places. If you go Prague, just stay in this hotel and meet with Ahmed. Have a wonderful holiday like this hotel. Thank you for all. If I come back to Prague, I will prefer this hotel again.

The breakfast is very yummy! Everyone there is so nice and very welcoming to us. They attended to all of our needs and we were always given fresh towels every day. The room was spacious and easily fit all of our suitcase (4 big bags). The hotel is close to almost everything! Good view from the rooftop with complementary drinks and cookies. Showcases Prague beautifully. Breakfast buffet was amazing! Lovely array of traditional European foods. Staff of the buffet always there to help out and very attentive as well. A short walk from the stunning Christmas markets! Would visit again

Great location right downtown, you can go by foot everywhere, enjoy Prague and it is easy to find. Nice clean rooms, good service, food and breakfast. Not expensive as well. Recommending further, enjoy your stay ;)

After a long train ride, it was such a pleasure to be greeted by the friendliest hotel staff ever. Jan and Anel were absolutely amazing (as well as anyone that worked there). The hotel is located perfectly, nestled between restaurants, a cozy bar and a short walk to the center (clock and bridge) in one direction and the Palladium in the other. The room was spacious and the beds and pillows were heaven. We actually slept in! Breakfast spread was a plethora of crepes, cheeses, meats, eggs, fruit, desserts, you name it they had it (even GF options). Downstairs is also a bar, but there is the cozy Orange Bar right across the street that makes delicious drinks, a Chinese restaurant about 30 feet away as well as traditional Czech food around the corner. Will definitely return and stay here again!

Hotel location itself is good but feeling very far depending on where your room is. My room was located very far away from elevator hall which needed to walk like a maze. Also my room stinks somehow. No problem for just spending a night without any expectation. Front desk and people were very nice and friendly!

Free upgrade on arrival from a double room to a room with 6 beds which served all of my needs. The hotel staff were very accommodating, especially David who liked to cycle, party and play soccer. Some of the decor was a little tired but very clean and amazing value with the location being super central with a fantastic Chinese restaurant next door. Questionable why I had to walk past a corridor of mattresses to reach my room each day but it did make me chuckle. Would highly recommend!

I was quite surprised about the whole hotel. We managed to get room for 2 for just 80 Eur for 2 nights without breakfast. Room and bathroom was clean and had all the necessary things, bed really comfortable. Only negative was TV that was offering only like 12 channels with very poor quality, each of them in different language. Not one local station. Very nice personel on the reception, super helpfull and polite. There is parrot in the lobby that will greet you. About 5 min walk from nearest tram station and about 8 minutes from metro. Right next to the hotel is Chinese restaurant (you have discount there as hotel guest) and a pub. Bit difficult to park and parking is expensive (40Eur/day).

Our experience was good overall, although there was no access for strollers neither outside the hotel nor inside (stairs at the entrance and reception). It is important to take this into consideration specially for visitors with children or special needs! Room service and Breakfast was excellent. We got a nice room with king size bed and mini bar fridge for soft drinks only. There was no kettle for making tea or instant coffee 😕 We wasn't inform about the hotel services when checked in, and it happened that we asked for milk in the night for our little girl and there wasn't in the hotel! Though, we would like to thank one very handy person from the staff that helped us a lot (Alex- Thanks a lot🌸) The hotel is located just before the old city and surrounded by many bars and restaurants, so you'd know where the noise comes from at 3:00 am in the morning 🙃

This hotel is ideally located in a quiet street in the very city centre. Easy to reach with both the green metroline as well as the yellow line within walking distance. The hotel is well-kept and the included breakfast had a wide variety of sweet and savory treats, really much more luxurious than I have seen for a while. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. I stayed for only one night, but the next time in Prague this one is on my top list :)

Very well located and neat hotel. Rooms were small, but it was as expected. Friendly staff, breakfast was good. Everything was walking distance away. Poor caged bird in the lobby! It made us sad everyday seeing it.

We stayed 19/ 23rd September 22, although the 1st room wasn't the best the staff at reception gave us another room as soon as they could without hesitation. The breakfast was Excellent and had a variety to choose from. The rooms were kept clean everyday and beds changed to. The staff throughout were helpful and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel not only for the above but for the location too.

I don't often go into hotels, but I had just 24 hours for enjoying Prague and to have a meeting for work. Was perfectly located to easily get to all major landmarks on foot. Kind service and in great English. The local dishes at the breakfast buffet were also great! Exactly what I needed and a comfy room made me quite happy

Excellent stay. The hotel it self is very aesthetically pleasing and has a great staff too. I loved the chessboards placed in the reception and the b4 cafe pub in the hotel. I was amused by the look of the hotel as well as the breakfast served. The nice people there made my stay even more enjoyable. Would 100% recommend.

Great location near the old town. The hotel is clean and staff are helpful enough. I had a single room small but comfortable.Good selection of food for breakfast. My only gripe is the noise you hear at night did not sleep too good because of it.Overall though a good experience.

Very nice hotel with absolutely excellent service. My particular respect and gratitude to the reception team for helping us in absolutely all questions and restaurant team for the most delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this place and these wonderful people, all together they can make your stay in Prague really awesome.

We booked this hotel for out holiday in Prague and couldn't be happier! The hotel is located very near to Old Towns Square and it allowed us to visit that part of the city all by foot! The room, very clean, was a bit small, but we expected it as per our reservation choice. The service was warm and welcoming and the staff always kind! They gifted us a chocolate cake for our last night there! Couldn't recommend it enough!!

Our first visit to Prague and very fortunate to have booked this hotel. It is a perfect tourist location in the heart of the Old Town. The staff are great and all seem to speak English well. We had a Standard room (one up from the basic). It was very well appointed, very clean and well looked after. Actually the whole city (certainly the part we were in) is very clean, well looked after, the people very friendly and everybody we seems to speak good English. Staff are extremely helpful, including with directions and recommendations. The breakfast buffet is amazing (didn’t try the Detox or Vodka Water available alongside the fruit juices!). The restaurant is also well staffed at breakfast time and whilst it is a self service buffet, they are constantly cleaning tables, taking away your empty dishes and refreshing the buffet with fresh produce. There’s even a chocolate fountain! My only recommendation is a bigger and faster toaster (although maybe it’s only the British who have a fixation with toast in the mornings). I highly recommend a city break to Prague and this hotel in particular.

Rooms are basic but comfortable and warm. All the reception staff speak excellent English. Young trainee manager very helpful with advice on places to go and serves free mulled wine. A must is to visit the 6th floor roof terrace for viewing the surrounding area. One free complementary drink to be taken in the bar. Limited evening menu but the chicken schnitzel with mashed potato and beef goulash and sourdough bread were excellent. Breakfast described as continental is excellent value and includes scrambled eggs, local sausage and vegetables. The hotel is in a great location for the old town, river and all the sights. Couldn't fault it

Comfortable beds, helpful staff, everything you could want served at breakfast. I had a great stay here and would stay here again. It is within walking distance of most attractions and located on a side street, so not a lot of noise at night. Only negative is that the walls are pretty thin.

Beautiful old hotel. Very good breakfast and kind employees. Nearby parking (€14,- per day in blue parking area) is possible. Shower was very small and the bathroom had a strange smell (sewer drain or mechanical ventilation). Our hotelroom had no air conditioning and was very hot (it was outside 30+ degrees C./86+ F. during our stay). The fan in the room didn't help with these high temperatures. Unfortunately, it made our stay very uncomfortable. Air conditioning is really a must here during the summer. It made us consider leaving early. The view from the rooftop is spectacular.

Really good hotel, close to the center of the old town in Prague. Rooms were very large and spacious - ideal for larger groups. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh juice, chocolate fountains and honey. Pancakes were excellent - but there was a large selection of all kinds of food. Chess boards in the reception were a nice touch. Very convenient for access to the airport also. Aby and Roman on the desk were excellent also. Helping our group and really going above and beyond showing us places to go around the city, as well as helping with check-in and checkout. Definitely will be back!
