👍👍 We had the Gulash soup, falafel hummus, grill plate for 2 persons, portobello burger, chicken skewers, gulash and last but not least hot side dish (insider tip for hard boiled). Every ! meal was delicious. Nothing to complain about. The service was top. Price is relatively low for Prague. We gave 10... The food was fantastic! The owner is great, very personable. Lamb shank was fall off the bone, unbelievably good. The bread that came with it, was steamed bread, also, ridiculously good. Taste and texture was superb. All in all, great place, we will most definitely be back.

Great meal for dinner here. Finally was able to try some Czech classics - but kosher! The dishes were very flavorful and mixed Czech with Israeli cuisines beautifully. The chicken dumplings were especially amazing and unique, one of the best dishes I’ve had in Prague. Out of the kosher restaurants I’ve tried in Prague, this one is the tastiest and a must visit. Not to mention how personable the owner is!

First time in Praha with my boyfriend and I’m glad to say we had a nice reception and a good meal at Restaurant Golem. I am quite picky with food but I really enjoyed everything we ordered including their cocktails 🍹 🥰

It was the most delicious meat dish I have ever eaten, it was one of the best places in terms of location, it is one of the oldest restaurants in my city and the atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. An environment that will make you feel like you are in the 13th century will be waiting for you. Thank you so much Golem Restaurant. see you soon!

First of all, the staff is very friendly. Also, there was no "mandatory tip" that other reviewers reported some time ago. I think that's a good decision and honestly, if the staff continues to be that friendly, tipping should be absolutely no problem. Now to the actual problem: the food which just tastes mediocre at best and is loveless presented. The falafel meat balls were hard, the kebab meat was kinda okay and fries were from a 750g package bought in the supermarket. I really hope that they find a way to improve this because honestly, having a restaurant called the Golem, close to the Old New Synagogue and serving jewish meals, is a great start of it to become more known. As of right now, it's just meh and for that it's overpriced.

I'm a little torn with this place, because we had a good time especially when the piano player showed up. People started to sing along & the food was good. We had Duck and the Gulasch in dark bread. The portions are Ok, but we were not stuffed to the rim. *** You have to be aware that the peanuts, that are packaged on the table will be charged to your bill if you open them. The Tip (20%) will be added to the bill so an extra Tip is not really necessary. *** The piano player got his extra Tip anyway. 😉 We were there on a Saturday around 6 pm.

Fabulous Kosher food, including traditional Czech dishes. Delicious goulash, best I have had! Lovely quaint intimate atmosphere and interesting fable of Golem. I will definitely be back.

Don't believe the reviews, we had a lovely lunch. The roasted eggplant was delicious. My partner had the hummous and chicken which was also excellent. They take card payment and there was no pressure to tip. Service charge was not included in the bill.

Was here as part of a bigger group. I myself solely ate some Hummus with Mushrooms, given I wasn't that hungry, which tasted excellent, but my friends had a wide variety of foods and drank a couple of beers as well, and were all happy with what they got as well. The atmosphere & design of the restaurant is great, especially the statue, and while the prices ain't super cheap, they really aren't expensive either. -> So overall, I can recommend eating here quite a bit.

We had the beef goulash with dumplings and the chicken stuffed dumplings with sauerkraut. Both were excellent, had a very nice homemade taste. I would definitely recommend this place if you're living for a nice filling meal

Amazing goulash! Service is superb, very attentive staff. Very generous, staff are beyond friendly and will cater to anything you need. Ignore the negative reviews - they're from the previous owners! These guys will feed and water you and make you laugh the whole way through!!!

The hummus was exquisite and my steak was exactly what I was looking for. I was greeted at the door and treated to good conversation. The atmosphere was very relaxing after a long day touring the Jewish Quarter. Will definitely be back when craving a delicious meal!

Had a fantastic meal here. Wanted to try local Czech cuisine and this was the only kosher place with traditional dishes - problem is I’m also a picky eater and didn’t want to order a whole meal that I wouldn’t eat. I asked to try the goulash first before ordering. Great flavor but not my thing. Ended up with a delicious mezze platter, onion rings (so much better than the frozen ones we get at American restaurants), a burger (full of delicious and aromatic middle eastern spices) and chicken skewers. Everything was fantastic. The owner also went through the story of Golem for my mother who just couldn’t get the concept. Food was also very reasonably priced. Thanks for a delicious meal!

Excellent Fusion of Czech & Middle eastern, in Jewish Kosher style - in center of Jozefov, surprisingly very Cheap ! had Hummus shawarma followed by traditional Gulash & Duck leg + Pilsner beers all 32€ great quick & friendly service too, highly recommended

The service was super nice. Really friendly Crew, they gave us nice advices about the food and were also very flexible about altering the dishes for us. Since it was international day of hummus we also got some hummus for free. If you like spicy food here you can get some super spicy chills and some really delicious chilli dips. I ordered the beef buhan for the main dish and it was really good. The portion were also quiet big (couldn't finish mine thou). In the end we also got a espresso for free. I can really recommend to come here.

All the food was spoilt. The beer went off and smelled lemony and tasted sour. The steak was tasteless and also sour. I have never experienced such a bad food. After an hour, we had to rush back to the hotel because of the poisoning, spending the rest of the evening next to the toilet, when our stomachs cleaned themselves empty. Please don't eat there! It will ruin your holiday!

I was skeptical at first about this restaurant because I thought I wouldn't be surprised by any of the dishes on the menu...but I was completely wrong. Everything we ordered was amazing, the meat melts in you mouth, the seasoning perfect and overall the meal was a delightful experience.

We were there in October 2022 and we were surprised. What a wonderfull place. Great atmosphere. Kind waiters and a funny owner. The food was excellent. So awesome that in two days of being in Prague we went there two times. Should we ever come to Prague again me and my wife will be there definitiv!

This is such a sweet little restaurant. We went there twice so far in our two week trip to Prague, and we might come again before leaving this beautiful city. The food is incredible, delicious and Kosher (though it does not have a Kosher certificate). I especially liked the lamb sous vide, mouth watering! It is a rare and charming combination of Czech and Jewish. The guy who owns the place is really nice, welcoming and sarcastic. For us, this was a win, I hope you give it a try :)

Good solution for those who seek a kosher restaurant (they don’t have kosher certification but they say the food is kosher). The burger is nice, we also ordered the soup in the bread and didn’t like it. The owner is super nice and helpful.

Great romantic place, where you can enjoy teasty food and warm hospitality. If cold outside you can try their gulash inside bread. If you like meat, delicious meal can be ordered. The fish also is very teasty. All food is fresh. I like this place very much and visited it twice during my travel.

Update: we were there the next day especially because of the goulash soup. The indian spicy chicken was very tasty.

This is the first review I have ever done but I wanted to share so others won’t miss out on the best feed of our European vacation. Gabriel and all the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful (whatever Gabriel recommends is a winner) every part of the experience was great best vibes in Prague even down to the music, only to be out done by the food they served up. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back when we are on this side of the globe!

Really cosy and nice restaurant if you want to get away from the busy atmosphere of the city. It tasted so good we came back for another meal the following day. Prices are absolutely reasonable. The people servicing are very lovely and decent people and we enjoyed being around them. Thank you for the good time, we will be back!
