Loved visiting the Wornall house. So much Civil War and Kansas City history. The house has amazing artifacts, original wallpaper and artwork. The tours was informative and timed perfectly (about 45 minutes). Bring cash for your tour fee. They collect money at the end of the tour, and didn't specify cash only beforehand.

Very educational and interesting. Our first time to Kansas City and it helped update us on the history timeline. Our photo shows a shadow figure in the right side of the mirror. And another photo shows sunlight bending and another small dark figure. See pics.

The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome! I really liked their discussion of slavery in the general narrative of the house.

A fascinating house museum that tackles the complex stories of slavery, the Battle of Westport, and the influential Wornall family. Our house interpreter was incredibly knowledgeable and had a knack for giving is space to explore while also showing up exactly when we had a question. Today, it's hard to imagine that this house once stood in a large farm field! The overall experience made us want to delve into local history even more.

I am part of a team called Central paranormal researchers. We did a paranormal investigation at the John worrall house. We loved everything about this house. The details and the old items were so amazing!

Good experience. Very interesting! I would have preferred a live guide to answer questions and learn unique facts. The information boards blocked the items and the view.

Great place to go to learn more local Civil War history! We were the first ones there and enjoyed the whole house to ourselves on our self-guided tour. We probably should’ve chosen the guided tour (and highly recommend that since there is SO much information), but we still learned a lot about the Wornall family. We spent about 1hr 20min there total, but it honestly didn’t even feel that long at all! Highly recommend!

I’ve passed this place so many times and finally got a tour of it. So much interesting info and tour guide definitely knew what they were talking about. I heard there are reenactments there too so I’m intrested in seeing that

We went for their Christmas tour. I would have liked more history and info about the house and grounds. Our tour guide wasn't very aware of her group or the info. There were parts that we did love, such as the musical portion and the kitchen tour. If everything were like that it would have been excellent.

I have tried to call to inquire for some assistance in planning a trip with my grandchildren. Each time my phone call was answered and immediately hung up with no response. So rude!

Loved this tour! I actually did it with my family back in 2017 and I remember the feeling that came over me when I was walking around listening to the stories and looking over the old items. I came across this photo from the tour again today and realized I never reviewed it. I actually reached out to the tour guides after we finished ours because I wanted to know more about the mirror itself and it’s previous location and owner. I was smiling when this photo was taken but when I checked my photos afterwards it showed this shadowed figure and a light orb off to the side with my face distorted as well as something shaded over my hand that was holding my phone. Whether you’re into paranormal findings or history this tour is a must see.
