A good observation point, but don’t expect to see any exhibition inside the walls. You can actually walk all around and on the top of the castle. Entrance is free of charge.

Great views from the wall and free! We did find it hard to visit though... it's closed on Tuesday and closed from pretty much 12.15pm til 6pm. Also because of Covid there is only one group allowed up the wall at a time so leave yourself enough time

Nice view from the top. A special cinema is staged inside during the summer evenings.

The highlight of Prato to see the landscape of Tuscany. Quite small to walk around but it’s 15-30min well-spent. The description plates were a bit worn out so you’d better get your own online guide to learn about the history of the castle.

Well preserved and the area around is nice. There's not much to see in the castello itself as it was never completed. It is just an empty shell ( and there's little information on site).

In fact, it is or should be one of the top two or three stops in your visit, especially if you are an art lover. Recently completely refurbished, this medieval palaz...
