Badey hanuman mandir near triveni sangam at Prayagraj is a very old and holy site for hindu devotees. The temple is also known by another name - letey hanumaan ji temple as the idol of Lord Hanuman is laying down. This is a unique and one of its kind among numerous Hanuman temples. Anyone visiting the sangam prayagraj must visit this temple which is next to the akbar fort. The premises if temple is quite large and crowd management is also good. It is a request to devotees that they do not throw garbage near temple to keep it clean. In totality this temple darshan was very soulful for me personally.

Shri Bade Hanumanji Mandir or Latey Hanumanji Mandir is an ancient Temple located on Bank of Ganga & Yamuna sangam. People of Prayagraj & East UP has great belief in Lord Hanuman. Hanumanji here really has done miracles for many who visits the temple. The more important fact is Hanumanji statue is laid not stranded here. When Britishers tried to pickup the statue to remove temple, they were not able to move an inch as the Statue is very strong and heavy. It's a must visit place with family and friends if you're visiting Prayagraj Allahabad

This famous temple of Lord Hanuman, one of the most worshiped god of India is a must visit place in Allahabad or Prayagraj It is located very close to Sangam. Here Hanumanji is in lying position instead of being in sitting or standing form as is common in thousands of other Hanuman temples in India. There are a few sweet shops selling prasad and the whole temple complex is well maintained. We did not find much crowd as it was not a Tuesday when we visited.

Popularly known as Lette Hanuman Mandir, Bade Hanuman Temple is dedicated to Hanumanji. This temple is an underground pit, that houses a huge lying idol of Hanumanji, which is six to seven feet below the ground. This is the only Lord Hanuman temple in the world where the idol is in a reclining position It is situated on the bank of sangam in Prayagraj, in the Indian state of Uttarpradesh

Hanuman Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj, India. The characteristic of this temple is that this idol of Hanuman ji is lying down. This Hanuman temple is the only one in the world, a temple where Lord Hanuman ji is worshiped on the lying statue. Hanuman ji is also called Kotwal of Prayag. It is believed that the sacrament of bath in Maha Kumbh is considered complete after the philosophy of Hanuman in this temple. It is said that the water of the Ganga touches Lord Hanuman ji and after that the water of the Ganges gets down. People here come to see this scene, when the water in the Ganges and Yamuna increases. In the sanctum of the temple, the statue of Hanuman is situated, which is 8.10 feet below the temple. According to the belief, Hanumanji's bath in the Ganges is considered an indicator of good fortune for India land. Entry of water in the temple is considered welfare for Prayag and the world for the entire world. About the establishment of the temple, it is believed that once the merchant was carrying Hanuman ji's grand statue from his boat. When he reached near Prayag with his boat, his boat slowly started getting heavier and reached near Sangam and got immersed in the water of Ganga ji. After sometime, when the water stream of Ganga ji changed some way So the idol appeared. The temple was established at the same place.

Amazing, mesmerizing and incredible place to visit. Right on Bank of River Ganga. This place is very famous for unique statue of Lord Hanuman laying. There is famous story that this statue was came to this place by River Ganga and British people try to lift this using crane but they were unable to do it as more they were trying, more it is getting down in land. Evey year water of Ganga used to submerge this statue. All your wishes come true if you will pray with goodwill and clean purpose. I really love this place and always feeling energetic visiting this. Sangam area is very nearby to this. Dahi bhaat of this temple is quite popular between devotees. Lakhs of deities comes and goes. In Temple area we also Ram Sita (Ram Janaki) temple. Temple is neat and clean and divine atmosphere. Waves of Ganga clearly visible. Famous Adishankar Mandapam is just adjacent to this place.

Bare wale (lete) Hanuman ji situated near the triveni sangam, Prayagraj. It's also called bandhwa wale Hanuman ji, it's the only idol in India where you can see Hanuman ji sleeping mode. Here, you'll feel positive vibes after darshan of Hanuman ji. There's also a allahabad fort just 50 metres ahead of this temple and akshayvat temple. You may also visit here. I've visited many times . Must visit place. Jai Sri Ram 🚩

India is a religious country and you can find millions of hindu temples across the country visited by billions of people. Some of those temples have a special significance compared to others and thus receive higher devotions. This could be because historical, cultural or location significance. This Hanuman temple is one such significant place which is unique because of the lying down idol which signifies sleeping state of God Hanuman. Also because of this temple's location, once a year when river Ganga is on high flow, the temple will submerge in water denoting the river Ganga visiting the temple to give the lord a divine bath. Recent infrastructure updates has provided temple a large premise for devotees with ample space for parking. Do visit the temple while you're visiting sangam and the allahabad fort. Temple opens at 5am till 12am and then from 3pm till 8pm. On special occasions timing may vary. It may take you anything around 10 mins to a few hours depending on the occasion when devotees are thronging the place. Overall a great place to assimilate hindu culture and experience. Tip: no need to pay to pandits or beggars if you don't want to. Although people do buy prasad from shops and distribute it among needy after visiting the temple. And keep your footwear with people sitting outside temple, they will keep it safe and charge a small denomination, usually ₹5 for upto 2 pairs.

One of the rarest Lord Hanuman Temple where Hanumanji is in sleeping position. Just on the confluence of River Ganga and Yamuna. Temple attracts huge crowd all over the year. Without standing in queue you can see Hanumanji (Mukh Darshan). If you want to touch Hanumanji's feet and offer flowers, you need to stand in line.

Great devotional place. You need to keep patience while in darshan queue. Some stupid devotee jumps line and there is no administration to control. Avoid Pandas as they do nothing but take dakshina money only. You will definitely feel blessed after darshan. You may go for this darshan after holy bath in Prayagraj Sangam (Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati Nadi) which is very next to this temple.

One of the most visited place in Prayagraj. It is located very close to Sangam and so most of the devotees visiting Prayagraj will not consider their visit complete unless they have darshan of Hanumanji at this temple. Here Hanumanji is in lying position instead of being in sitting or standing form Bade Hanuman Ji also worshiped as Lete Hanuman Ji. The temple is dated back to Ramayana age and is of religious and historical importance. Very Crowded on Saturday

This is a small temple close to Triveni Sangam and Akbar Fort. There is a large hanuman statue in lying position 6 to 7 feet below the ground level. It looks great. Inside the temple complex, besides the lying Hanuman, there are two small shrines: 1. Ram, Sitha, Lakshman and Hanuman Shrine and 2. Hanuman shrine. Once you enter the temple complex, the place is fairly clean. Outside the temple, near the entrance, the atmosphere is really bad; it is very dirty with lots and lots of beggars; I have never seen such a poverty-ridden dirty, and chaotic scene. Enthusiasm to go to the hanuman temple is totally gone.

A good place to visit. The speciality of this temple is that, there is Hanuman idol in a sleeping position horizontally, which is worshipped and that temple is called as " Shree bade hanuman ji mandir". Near by there is Triveni Sangam. After taking the pious dubki, this place is can be visited in a walkable distance if 700 metre. There is a Sriram temple too, which is called "Shree ram janaki mandir". You can have a peaceful time over there. There is drinking water facilities too. And if you want to buy prasadam, then there are stores from where you can buy. I hope, the review will be helpful for you. Have a great time. Thank you. Pics are attached for your references.
