Great staff who looked after us really well. The food was good, especially the Haggis and Beef pie.

Amazing! Very vegan friendly and the best Sunday lunch I've had in my life. Everything tasted fresh and like it had just been cooked. Well worth the money and we'll definitely be back!

Found this gem of a pub on our travels. Lovely location and super clean and cared for. Kim is very lovely and the menu is amazing, the additions available are great. Well looked after and vegan options were huge! More than the menu shows. All local source made there and then and tasty, we got vegan coleslaw made for us. Would recommend to everyone and be in that neck of the woods again so we can go back! Thank you everyone for the hospitality

Popped in for lunch with the dog after a boggy, soggy walk around Beacon Fell. The homemade pies are incredible. There was a choice of 4 available, from chicken, bacon and onion to braised beef and haggis through to cheese and onion, which I had. Garlic mash and herby mushy peas on the side and excellent gravy. One of the best lunches I've had! All washed down with a lovely pint of Santa Paws. Will be stopping again next time we're in the area!

New Years Day 2024, after a long walk we called in for a meal. Good service, whilst we enjoyed the meal it was very expensive for a small Cheese & Onion Pie £9 & small portion of Fries £3.75. (To be fair I should have paid more attention to the prices). It didn’t come with any Veg, which I suspect was an extra. The Gravy was excellent and went some way to making it enjoyable.

Enjoyed a lovely evening dinner. The 10oz rump steak was delicious, cooked to perfection. One of the best cuts I've had. Firmly believe in locally sourced produce. The place is tastefully decorated ready for Xmas. The views in the afternoon are second to none. Dog friendly as well. Will definitely return.

Absolutely lovely place. Stopped off for something to eat with the other half. Don't even know where to start. I can safely say it's the cleanest place we've stopped for food in recent months .. not a cobweb or spec of dust in sight. Greeted with a warm friendly welcome by one of the owners Kim I think it was. Lovely lady very personable and definitely the hostess with the mostest. Starters: we had the goats cheese and the pate .. the goats cheese was lovely and light and fluffy. Pate was delicious not to strong and a good bread to pate ratio. Mains: We sampled the pies from the specials menu I had chicken, ham hock and shallot pie and the fella had haggis and beef .. both were very tasty, the pastry just melted in the mouth. I don't even like haggis but I loved the pie. We also tried the beef Sunday roast and the BBQ pork which came with coleslaw, chips and salad. The beef was lovely and tender, really well cooked. Loved the little bowl of side veg that was brought out with it .. the parsnips and cauliflower tasted devine. Bbq pork cooked well again knife slid through the pork. The coleslaw was really nice and the home made chips were tasty. Beautiful place, amazing staff, tasty food. Amazing afternoon, looking forward to going back and sampling the Autumn menu Thanks for a lovely afternoon kim
