Again. Both museums are located incorrectly in Google Maps. I tried to fix the Kosovo Museum but in the end Google Maps rejected my update. I’m giving up on finding the Ethnographic Museum. It’s too hot. I found it with the aid of the coordinates on this piece of paper. It’s small and not hugely interesting. However it is in one of the oldest built

Worth a visit and they deserve your support even though only one of the houses is open at the moment. I arrived on a rainy day and the guide was very attentive. He explained the houses' background and provided an extensive tour. The woodworking mesmerizes here. They can make more money turning the place into a glamping location.

Not so much to see and the biggest house is under renovation. They are around 300 years old during ottoman empire and used to belong to very wealthy family.

The museum is currently under renovation, so we can only enter 1 of the 3 houses. The one that I entered is the 18th century style, small but very good to get a glimpse of how the house looks like at that time. No entrance fee but you can make donation for the restoration work.

The location on Google map is wrong, very faraway from where it is. Search for Henrik Bariç 25 Pristina, it is next to a local market

Original Ottoman buildings. Only one house open when we visited but the curator gave an excellent little tour. No charge but donations welcomed.

Charming museum with very knowledgable staff. A historic home, with one part under construction with the guest house visitable. It was a bit hard to find so I attached a photo of the entrance. Fee is by donation.

(Translated by Google) 🇹🇷 Greetings from Turkey. Maybe the peoples are separated, but it is not possible to separate cultures and traces. The house where a Turkish family lived for hundreds of years is now being exhibited as part of our common history. (Original) 🇹🇷 Türkiye'den Selamlar. Really loved it. Amazing! We went just to have a look - and little did we know that we were getting a guided tour through the house. And he spoke really good English! So many old things from Old Kosovo and the house has so much history 🇽🇰🇦🇱💙

The Ethnological Treasure of Kosovo is an ethnographic museum in Pristina, Kosovo. It is located in Emin Gjiku Complex, a monument of culture from the 18th century. This house was once owned by the family of Emin Gjikolli. Emin Gjikolli nickname means "little man", in Turkish "Eminçik", which the complex holds the name today. In the museum, tools and items related to lifestyle from the Ottoman Kosovo period are on display. In 2002, the Ethnological Museum opened its exhibition of a permanent nature, in which ancient clothing, tools, containers furniture and old weapons, etc., were presented. Until 1990, the Emin Gjiku Complex served as a nature museum and after the completion of internationally funded conservation works in 2003, it was turned into an ethnological museum housing a vast collection of traditional costumes as well as utensils, handcraft elements and other tools used in everyday life. The above-mentioned collection is sheltered in the two central buildings of the complex (the house and the guest house) situated at the inner court, while at the entrance court, the relocated building is rented under a special contract by the museum to a Contemporary Art Centre 'Stacion' and the stable, the object of this study is left unused to date, even though the constant promises by the director of the museum to turn it into a traditional food restaurant.

(Translated by Google) One of the must-see places in Pristina. The home complex of an old wealthy Turkish family. Because there are several houses, stables and haystacks in the garden. Surrounded by a large courtyard. There is a guide in the museum presenting in English, the entrance is free, but it is nice if you leave a tip on the guide. The interior is beautifully preserved and decorated. You can see the old things we used. There's no sign at the entrance, so don't let this fool you. You can easily find it. There are a lot of things in the house that were quite advanced by then. I recommend you visit (Original) Priştina'da gidildiğinde mutlaka görülmesi gereken yerlerden birisi. Eski bir varlıklı Türk ailesinin ev kompleksi. Çünkü bahçede birkaç ev, ahır ve samanlık mevcut. Geniş bir avluyla çevrili. Müzede bir rehber mevcut İngilizce olarak sunum yapıyor giriş ücretsiz fakat rehbere çıkışta bahşiş bırakırsanız güzel olur. İçerisi güzel korunmuş ve dekore edilmiş. Eski kullandığımız eşyaları görebilirsiniz. Girişte bir tabela yok bu sizi aldatmasın. Kolayca bulabilirsiniz. Evde o zamana göre bir hayli ileri olan şeyler mevcut. Gezmenizi tavsiye ederim

(Translated by Google) The ethnographic museum is located in a traditional Albanian house. Inside, some rooms have been preserved with the original furnishings. A kind and prepared guide will explain the history and traditions of the time. As in the other Kosovar museums, entry is free (bring some coins, I only had Macedonian currency). It's very small, you visit it in about ten minutes so don't miss it. (Original) Il museo etnografico è sito in una abitazione tradizionale albanese. All'interno sono state conservate alcune stanze con l'arredo originale. Una guida gentile e preparata spiegherà la storia e le tradizioni del tempo. Come negli altri musei kosovari l'ingresso è a offerta libera (portatevi qualche moneta, io avevo solo valuta macedone). E' molto piccolo, lo si visita in una decina di minuti quindi da non perdere.

(Translated by Google) The best museum. A house interior where they show where and how a family lived. The outbuilding is still being renovated. Only the best of the tour guide can be said. He showed me in a straightforward and straightforward manner, with a clear understanding of English. (Original) A legjobb múzeum.

It's not big and hidden between other buildings but really worth seeing. Gives an opportunity to imagine how Pristina used to look like. The guide was really nice and passionate. They have some restorations going on right now probably it will be even better once it's done.

This visit is a must in Pristina. It's very interesting and the guide knows a lot about history and made the visit really worth it. He was very nice. The houses are really well preserved both inside & outside.

Well preserved and freshly renovated, unfortunately there was no guide to show around, I guess there must be some kind of organization. Bits and pieces of albanian history. Worth giving it 20 minutes.

The visit to Ethnological museum is a gift- the exibition is interesting, the entrace is free of charge and you are given a guided tour by one of the workers of the museum. You can show your appreciation by a voluntary donation. We managed to convince Ilir, the curator of the museum, to give us a guided tour of the city afterhours. It was great, highly proffesional and with a personal story. I recommend both the visit to the museum and (if you are lucky) the tour of Prishtina.

Wonderful 300yo we’ll preserved house and quaint but nice exhibits. Out is the path so not a single other tourist but the groundskeeper still greeted me and let me do the exploring on my own (appreciated). Must do in Prishtinë :)

The house's architecture was beautifull ottoman architecture allso the reaches life style at that time. Poor gardening coud have do e more research and arrange the garden just like was before. At the entrence ther were two more buildings but they turned over into offices and god know for what but they surely damaged historical value of that buildings. It's hard to find because ther is no signes untill you get very close...

Great place but GOOGLE must help them with the location issue. It causes major inconvenience for two separate businesses and has been left by the GOOGLE team for too long. Really great spot once you get there, staff was lovely and knowledgeable though current renovations make it something of a shorter experience.

We walked through the market and simply turned up at the museum, the guide introduced himself as we walked up to the door and just started a tour! I think he will just show people around as/when they turn up. Anyway it was very interesting to be shown around and have an explanation of life as it was.
