Food was absolutely horrible…could not finish meal. Had a few bite n had to stop. The pork chop was bland.The apple sauce that came with the pork chop tasted like Gerber straight out the jar. The waffles seemed like they were Eggo and they forgot to mention that it was waffles and wings…they menus made it seemed as thought it would have been traditional breast or thigh cut served with the waffles and the mussels were nasty. The fries saved the day and the drinks. I will not be going back and if you are reading this review take my advice and spend ur money and time else where. Not worth it!!! Probably one of the worst restaurants in providence and the manager and waitress did not really care that our experience was horrible. I only gave it one start because I couldn’t give it negative FIVE!!

The atmosphere of the Rooftop is so nice- it's very light & airy. The views of the city are beautiful! It was raining when we visited, so unfortunately we weren't able to check out the outside terrace with the fire pits. The food & cocktails are great. They even have a small mocktail selection. Highly recommend the lobster risotto!

My visit to the Rooftop at the Providence G was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Despite the rainy day, the enclosed rooftop space, surrounded by glass windows, provided breathtaking views and a cozy atmosphere. It was like enjoying the best of both indoor and outdoor worlds. Now, onto the main attraction – the espresso martini. I had been eagerly looking forward to it, and I’m thrilled to say it didn’t disappoint. The bartender, who was nothing short of awesome, crafted a flawless espresso martini. It was the perfect blend of coffee and spirits, just the pick-me-up I needed. But here’s where the adventure got even more exciting. The bartender recommended a unique twist on the espresso martini, one made with tequila. Intrigued, I decided to give it a shot (pun intended), and I’m so glad I did. The tequila espresso martini was a delightful surprise, offering a different flavor profile that was equally delicious. I’m already counting down the days until I can return to the Rooftop at the Providence G. It’s a gem of a bar, combining stunning views, exceptional drinks, and top-notch service. Whether rain or shine, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable rooftop experience. Cheers to more visits in the future!

Such a fun experience! I had the Mind Your Melons, Spring Fling and four Local Oysters. All super delicious. The roof is such an amazingly beautiful place too.

It took a few but towards the end of our meal we very much enjoyed our experience here. We made reservations we were there either on time or a little early. We were seated immediately with our menu then crickets for about 15-20min. A group of 4 ladies was seated at a table next to us and they were tended to before we were. That's why the 3 stars. Other then this everything else was on point. Our waitress was nice not annoyingly attentive. We just wanted to share some appetizers it's a better was to try a little of everything and all of them were great. We had the chicken and waffles, duck and fig pizza and the charcuterie board. All were amazing. We also shared the brownie for dessert is was also great.

Friendly service and management was very understanding and willing to make us feel more comfortable. Unfortunately food could have been better for what you pay for. If you sit around the bombfire, be willing to spend $50 p.p. It's their requirement

We had our first experience at Rooftop at the Providence G & it was amazing! Starting from our server John who went above & beyond from the moment we sat down to the moment we left! The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect & the atmosphere was unique with nice view! My first visit to this rooftop bar was great. The bartenders were quick to serve us our beverage . The music was pumping, and a woman with an LED lit hula hoop was dancing around the bar. I would definitely recommend going here to anyone who asks. We did not order any food, so I can't include this in my review.

We celebrated our friends’ anniversary here and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was fun and we loved the views! Nicolina is a rock star server, we were well taken care of. Definitely try the new gnocchi dish and the pistachio cake!!

Although a little on the pricey side, the food was good. The pasta with calamari was a lot smaller than expected for the price, but that’s what you get when you order seafood. You’re really paying for the experience of being on a rooftop with accessibility to a nice fire pit. I went with a group of 15 and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs, we chose to sit indoors since it was a cold December night. Loved the touch of live music! This is a great place for a date night or to hang out with friends in a group.

Fully expected this place to be just a trendy cute place but the food shocked me. Some of the best on the trip! We got cocktails & shared appetizers. We got glazed carrots, brussels, tempura shrimp, fries, margherita pizza & deviled eggs. All so good!!!

Great atmosphere. Good food, the portions are a bit small, but doesn't leave you hungry. The service was excellent, our waiter was attentive, funny and very personnel. We were there for dinner, but the place turns into a club later at night. Definitely check this place out if you haven't been here before.

Very nice place to sit with friends. The atmosphere is nice, the song isn’t blasted loud, and the pizza is great and thin. The menu is limited food wise - there are still options as expected at a rooftop. Has many drink options.

We stopped in towards the end of the evening. We were initially seated at a table but asked if we could move to an open fire pit area. Staff were checked availability and moved us over there quickly, and we are so glad we asked. The staff was attentive and the views were great. Definitely stop in for a great spot to enjoy an outdoor cocktail with friends, highly recommend trying to get a reservation for the fire pit tables.

Sheer elegance. Upon arrival, polite valet service, large lobby. Friendly receptionist. Elevator to the rooftop bar, incredible view. Ceremony followed exquisite atmosphere. Superb cocktails, delicious apps, and entree, roomy dance floor. A+

Decent rooftop if you make reservations ahead of time and sit around the perimeter either at a fireplace table or a building views table. Cocktails are great, not many vegan options except maybe the fries, hope that changes in the future. I came here for my birthday but didn't get any special treatment. We could only make reservations for 8:45 that day and we got put at a mediocre table so I asked if we could be moved to a better one if any people leave at least for the last hour of them being open (9pm to 10pm) but were ultimately ignored. It wasn't busy because we literally watched people get up and leave and then no others were placed in their spots. So it was bummer for me.

Nice restaurant and bar on the rooftop. You can look over providence, not really a spectacular view, but very interesting. Beautiful on a sunny day. Very nice service, good food and excellent drink.

Free valet parking when we arrived so that was nice. I really like the concept and the aesthetic here. This place overlooks Providence and it's really beautiful, the waitresses are very attentive and make me feel comfortable. I didn't get to try the food but when I asked around, I only heard great things. I'm just not much of a clubbing person and I feel it turns into a bit night clubby as I sit here (currently midnight), I guess it depends on the entertainment there was a dj playing the drums and break dancers, interesting just not as great as a live band. All in all I had a fun time with my friend. It's a really nice place for a first date, a good time with friends or family, and even for an evening to yourself.

Such a fun, cozy experience sitting by the fire pits on a chilly Friday night! Eunice the bellydancer was a fun addition. Service was timely and no complaints. Food was tasty. Overall would certainly recommend!

Had a lovely experience at the Rooftop at the Providence G. Employees are very nice and the interior is gorgeous. Loved the pear pressure cocktail and the cheese and charcuterie board. Definitely recommend checking out their cocktail menu and snacks. Now on to my standard COVID comments as of April 2022. No one is really wearing masks but the seating is pretty spaced. No one was there as we got there early on a Friday so it was really nice to sit and relax. Assume it’d feel crowded on a busy night but they also have an outdoor area which is nice.

Went to Rooftop at the Providence G for their restaurant week menu and had the best experience! Our server Mike was so friendly and attentive! The restaurant week menu was a "Taste of Rhode Island" with all of the classics and every single course was oustanding!! The soup was so flavorful, the lobster ravioli was incredible, and the coffee milk cheesecake was decadent. We will 100% be returning, especially in the warmer weather to take in the city views!

The rustic and delicious mushroom pizza teamed with an ice cold Blue Moon is what nailed it for me. And the rooftop ambiance is heavenly especially at sunset. I reserved a fire pit seating for a group of eight and was not disappointed. The restaurant is really amazing but the food was horrible and overpriced! I had the “Rooftop Cobb salad” for $16 and it was literally four pieces of Boston leaf lettuce layed flat with a half a boiled egg, one tomato slice, one asparagus chopped up, a tiny amount of pickled onions and a minuscule amount of chopped pork. My husband ordered the Brisket burger and got it well done.....well it was a charcoal burnt piece of meat! Really nice to sit and have drinks but not for dining!

Awesome Restaurant! This is the first time My wife and I have been out to a Restaurant since February. The food is pretty good and the ambiance is awesome. To our suprise half way through our meal a band started setting up and they were very good. It was really nice to have a semi normal night out. I was almost able to forget about what is going on in the world for a couple of hours. We will be back and I will definitely recommend rooftop in the future!!

First time visiting tonight, and the staff was so kind and accommodating. The heated igloos were perfectly comfortable, and we even received free fuzzy blankets to take home! Our server Maddie was so sweet and attentive, and the food was delicious. We will be back for sure, thank you for providing such a lovely atmosphere.

Mia was amazing! We were a larger party with many requests and she was on top of everything! The food was fantastic! Fresh seafood, delicious cocktails, reasonably priced bottles of wine, and yummy oysters! Next time we will have to sit by the fire pits! Great place to celebrate!

Total scam. We came to enjoy a drag queen show and 1.30 hours later than scheduled it hadn't started yet. We ordered some calamari and it was like eating a plastic tube. They ripped us off. It was 18 dollars. Yes, that's the full dish.

Nicolina was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. I started with the PYT cocktail and she even crafted me my own lemon drop martini with gin and understood the pairing perfectly! Favorite menu items include the burratta, calamari, and the lemon zest pizza. If you’re looking an inverse snow globe full of warmth and happiness in this dreary winter you’ve found the place. Come have some fun!!

Recently dine here for a birthday dinner. The great atmosphere and wait service were great. The waiter did his best despite being very busy. We dine around 7:30 on a Sunday it was very busy. For cocktails, I would recommend The Crime of Passion or Mind your Melon (replace the vodka with tequila). For appetizers we had shrimp tempura and muscles, both were delicious. The shore fries were also good. Last but not least I was disappointed with the gnocchi with chicken entrée. My chicken was very pinkish. I informed the waiter of the issue he stated the chef told him “the pink of the chicken is from the bone marrow” but he could remake my dish if I would like. I’d never heard that before so I declined his offer and just chose not to eat the chicken. I would give a 3 star rating but will be back to give them another try.

Great rooftop bar! The service was excellent!! I asked for a Mezcal drink, and they made one for me, even not on the menu. I was not impressed by the food.

Came here for some dinner and drinks! The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. The plants and lighting made for a really cool experience. Drinks were fun and tasty and there were a lot of different food options. Johnny was our server and he was awesome! This was my first time coming and will definitely be back.

When I read that part of the rooftop was indoor lodge, that's what I expected - a lodge like a ski lodge. Instead, it's a club. Really loud music, 2 girls were dancing around in costumes. But the bartenders were nice, so I'll give em that. If you want a club scene, go for it. I just prefer the ski lodge environment.

YOU NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION on Friday & Saturday nights if you want to get a table. Impossible to get service at bar. Extremely loud house music, sometimes there's a live DJ/ band. Really "basic" vibe-- not a lot of culture, just a lot of yelling and bopping.

Awesome place... Food is excellent!! I had the lobster roll, not your traditional it was the best I've ever had, flat iron steak & potatoes for my my excellent, risotto & chicken for my granddaughter yummy.. Very comfortable atmosphere with attentive waitstaff. Reasonably priced menu. Also following protocol for the virus, all waitstaff wearing masks, social distancing of tables more than the required 6 feet apart, disposable paper menus & disinfecting after each customer. Would highly recommend.

My friend and I came here for a girls night out and I can’t express how thrilled I was with my service. At the beginning of the night we realized we were going to run super late and I called to move our reservation back. The man on the phone was so kind and accommodating! Our server Courtney was amazing. She was very attentive to our needs and super super sweet! Plus, the food was delicious. Overall just a great experience!

This is my favorite bar in providence. The drinks are fantastic and so is the food! My last waiter there, Blake, is the best server I have ever had anywhere I have ever been.

Cool rooftop bar if you’re looking to hook up or something. Place was pretty pretentious but you’ll have an awesome time. There wasn’t really a dance floor... and the drinks were okay. Really pricey though. The outside area is nice even had some blankets for the cold nights. There wasn’t much of a view though... and it wasn’t that high up. Gets packed around 11ish.

Nice setting and good food. The chimichurri sauce was excellent. Was a little hot and sunny, not a lot of shade with all outdoor seating.

Great spot and I have heard lot about it. Two star because my experience has been great. My girlfriend had booked table for my birthday. View is great but food and service were bad. Food was burnt and I wasn’t able to take more than couple bites, service was bad despite of them not being busy.

The waitress was so nice and offered great service. I wish I could remember her name! The heated rooftop is such a nice feature. I don't drink alcohol but the bartender surprised me with a delicious mocktail as there weren't any on the menu. Great night.

We only went for drinks and sat outside at one of the fire tables. I must say that the staff is one of the best I have even encountered. They stopped by often asking if we needed anything. I not even sure who our actual server was, any staff that walked by checked in. The music was slightly loud outside and it did make it difficult to talk over it at times. With that I would still go back because the experience was amazing.

Fun place, it was freezing but we had blankets. Unfortunately it's hard to fi d the dance floor. People just hang out chatting on the floor instead of dancing!

It's good for drinks and appetizers ONLY!. Entrees not worth what you pay, Portion was very little. Very little!. The Risotto had No flavor and it had celery, No clue.. The chimichurri steak was alright. The Hoisin Ribs were good and the chips tasted like doughboys if you into that but the salsa was delicious. Nicole's was very nice.. The entrees, flavor and drinks need to some change.. I would have gave it a better rating. Beautiful atmosphere though!!..

Understand we're on the middle of a pandemic situation, but I wasn't impressed with food, the ceviche wasn't tasteful, unlike any other places I've gotten, the grapfuit mojito either, I guess my expectations were too high ?? The reason I've cited the pandemic is because you can have a million different excuses, and that is one of them, I've asked for chips and salsa, there was none, food was ok, but I was expecting flavor, specially when you order ribs with a sauce name south Carolina (or something like that) yup .. you guessed... No much flavor, southern peeps; don't order that one.. location is great, loved the place, I will go there again, music was good, the night got a bit colder and there was no heat for the tables other than the ones with the fire pit, (that would be a great addition) I would definitely go back, and enjoy a beer or two, try different things from the menu, this review is mostly to ask for a bit of a change, not being negative, lots of potential!!!

Came to the Rooftop to celebrate my daughter getting into Law School. Unfortunately, not impressed with this restaurantat at all. Music was loud & old. I asked for a glass of juice & was told it wasn't possible. My daughter was given the wrong drink & her food was infused with lavender which was not shown on the menu, so she didn't like it. (nasty). Unfortunately, menu was small & there wasn't much to choose from & waitress didn't seem interested in her job. The only thing nice was the atmosphere.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner in the private terrace space. We had 20 people. John was our server and he was exceptional. There wasn’t a request he couldn’t field. Somehow he got a birthday candle for a little one, tea for some older folks and was so attentive and accommodating with allergies. It was also his idea to have a special toast with the bridal party. My wife and I were concerned about the tab minimum/maximum for food and beverage. We asked throughout the night regarding updates on the tab and John was exceptionally helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we returned after the wedding….which needless to say John and staff were excited and congratulatory. It was beyond a pleasant dining experience but genuine kindness. Plus the food, drink, and ambiance was great. We’re so glad we had John as our server for our rehearsal dinner.

The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, with a lovely rooftop setting that provided a pleasant atmosphere for our celebration. The menu offered a decent variety of dishes, but I must admit that the food itself was only average. The flavors were satisfactory, but nothing stood out as particularly remarkable. However, it is important to note that we were a large party, and mistakes or misassignments can happen in such situations. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, there was a little misunderstanding regarding the order. However, what truly impressed me was the swift response and accountability demonstrated by the staff. As soon as they became aware of the mix-up, they took immediate action to rectify the situation. Miranda, the restaurant manager, personally intervened and ensured that our food was prepared and served as originally ordered. Her attentiveness and willingness to go ABOVE AND BEYOND to resolve the issue were commendable. Not only did Miranda ensure that our food was corrected, but she also took the initiative to remove the affected items from our bill. This gesture of goodwill, along with her sincere apology, demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction that deserves recognition!! Throughout the evening, the staff members were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They made sure that our needs were met and provided prompt service whenever required. Their professionalism and positive attitude contributed greatly to the overall dining experience. While the food at Rooftop may not have been outstanding, the exceptional service and the efforts of the staff, particularly Miranda, left a lasting impression. The restaurant's prompt response to the misunderstanding and their commitment to making things right were truly commendable. I would recommend Rooftop to others, not only for its pleasant atmosphere but also for the exceptional service provided by the staff.
