I'm not the best person to rate empanadas because I'm not really crazy about them but this was a cute little spot ambiance wise in a very unexpected space during a walk. If you're looking for a cute Hideaway among the locals, this is it.

I was so lucky to discover Empanhouse (IG: @empanahouserd) while walking through the neighborhood. I was a little nervous to walk down the alley to its entrance because I wasn’t sure what kind of restaurant I would find behind some typical houses. But there it was, just a little enchanted garden that conjures the crispiest, savoriest, best-proportioned empanadas I have ever tasted in all of Latin America. It was clearly made by a chef who has focused considerable attention on execution of one delicacy. As another reviewer said, this is the “producto docente” which I translated as something like THE “model product”. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

We had cheese, shrimp, vegetables, beef and chicken empanadas, and there were all really tasty, crispy and high quality. There is also a nice sitting space to chill while you wait or eat there. Personnel was polite and helpful!

Fun hole in the wall place with the best empanadas we tried in the country. It's small and located in a back alleyway, but it's easy to find when you follow their sign. Great juice as well.

Nothing compares to the atmosphere or food. I love this beautiful place.
