This is a charming little restaurant near the beach. The dining area is the on first floor for ca 28 guests, indoors. On the ground floor they have the bar and restrooms. Under good wether conditions you can sitt outside of the restaurant. The service is real good.

Le Petit Francois is a restaurant run by a Canadian in Puerto Plata. A mostly Canadian-French inspired restaurant. All of the food was made fresh with good ingredients. We started with the Shrimp tartar except that the shrimp albeit fresh was cooked. I also had the fish of the day - on the menu is said it was fried but I didn't realized it was battered and deep fried but incredibly fresh. We also tried the chicken cordon blue, it was cut into pieces which was slightly odd. The 3 layer was brownie could have done without. The food was good and Francois was lovely!! We had great service but some things weren't as described or what I was expecting. Overall, I'd go again.

Just had drinks and appetizer, but, as usual it was very good. Love the view and the food. Had the fried calamari.

Fantastic food. Great service, Great price. Everything we ordered was on point. Even accommodating a gluten free and dairy free diet. Love this place!

Great location with warm and friendly service. Some really awesome cocktails plus a nice menu.

Took a screened bed with 4 and had a beautifull day. Nice servicr, excellent food and super drinks. Will certainly come back!

So the leaving the cruise is a taxi service. $25 all day per person. It was great. They took us here and said if we ate at Le Petit Francois that the beach chairs would be included. They were not. Either way the beach is nice. I gave a bad review because three drinks should have cost $30 + gratuities. Tell me why i was charged $42 and then the waiter gave himself a $25 dollar tip??!!! I took a picture of the tiny receipt they gave me. My relative gave him a $150.00 and he didn't tell her she had given him $100 extra dollars in change. Either way check your bill and make sure you pay cash.

Party of Four for dinner. Sat up on the upstairs balcony under the stars. Very nice ambiance. Wine prices reasonable. Unfortunately it took over an hour to get our food and 2 of the plates were cold. Waitress was not happy when we mentioned this and returned nachos. I had pepper steak which was good. Others in party were not happy with theirs. Too bad, had high expectations after reviews.

Great place! François is a great chef. Pineapple shrimp was very good. Langosta Thermidor is always awesome. Le Petite François is always a stop for me when in Puerto Plata!

too crowded and loud but we made some friends on the beach. A lot of locals so it was nice too. staff was really friendly. long wait to the bathroom/changing room. one of the staff just got some water, pour and clean our sandy feet didnt expect that he was really nice. food is ok but the drinks was really good

Waited for an hour and a half and never did get our food. Was dying for a smoked meat sandwich. Don’t think the waitress with long dreadlocks even put our order in. We were there the day before and sat on the beach and did get a club house and fries and it was good. There were 4 of us. First couple ordered there’s. Then it was our turn I ordered the smoke meat sandwich and the husband wanted the same clubhouse he had the day before which was a Dominican one. She said he had to order the Canadian club house in the same part of the menu that I ordered my sandwich from. He wanted the same one he had the day before. Waitress kind of stomped off. Never came back had to order drinks from another. We come down every year for 4 months take everyone there. Will never go back

Good place, great view by the beach. Food was decent. Been here a few times.

We had a wonderful time just relaxing and taking in the sun. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were good.

We took a cab from the cruise port and enjoyed an afternoon with Francois and his amazing staff. After trying the place next door (which we walked out of), we discovered this gem. We were pleasantly surprised with very reasonable prices, super cold wine, and the best chicken Mofongo I've ever had! Staff was friendly and attentive. If you are walking the beach, this is tucked up under some trees and not super easy to find. Best meal of my trip!

Well located beach-front restaurant in the Costa Dorada area. Beers were cold and food was acceptable. Prices were good considering the location and credit cards are accepted. There is plenty of space, but gets crowded as the day goes on. There was a DJ playing good music on Sunday (day I visited) which made for an entertaining and enjoyable time. There is parking available right by the entrance to the restaurant and beach for small change to the caretaker.

Good food reasonably priced, good location to people watch. It would be nice if there was a no smoking section, it's gross when you're eating and someone lights up 10 ft from you.

The gentleman that waited on us was wonderful. We needed nothing because he brought everything we needed. He was joy and very handsome. The food was good. It was calamari and fish with chips. Price was excellent 👍😊

Visited this place as it was included in an excursion. Beautiful views of the beach, and ocean. You have the option to sit outside in the sand. The staff are friendly. Wanted to try so authentic Dominican food, and what was included wasn't bad. They make fresh juice there as well. The passionfruit juice was pretty good, but I didn't like the watermelon juice. Even with added sugar, it was bitter. Overall, not a bad spot for lunch on the beach.
