Excellent Snapper, Plantains and Beans/Rice! The spirit of this place is enjoyment of good company, family, food and the cuisine of Dominicans. I loved the experience, atmosphere and people people!

This place is, hands down, my favorite restaurant to eat fried fish. You choose the fish type and size you want to eat from a bucket full of freshly caught fish already marinating in their special seasoning. You then tell them how you want it cooked (fried or grilled), grab a ticket for that particular order and seat at a table. Waitress will as for your ticket and take your drinks order... AND... enjoy the delicious fish! The place is always clean, but be aware that flies will go after the smell of fish once they bring it to your table, and there is very little the staff can do about it. My suggestion is to eat it while it's hot and you won't have much of an issue. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. Great affordable place to bring your family and friends.

Best fish and seafood restaurant in Puerto Plata. Must stop in, choose your fish by yourself, enjoy your food and drinks, and then pay.

I expect something better than I thought. Take so long to be attending after selecting the food. Other thing they have to do immediately is change the oil more often. After finishing up eating the food I waited around 45 minutes to paid..I hope they read my comment for the conviene of them. Thanks

Great fried fish!!! Excellent. In fact, this was the best fish I have ever eaten in my life, and I have been trying to replicate this experience when I returned to the US, but it is never As good.

Went to eat here again and have to change my review. Service was slow, food came out cold, rice was hard. If you really want great fish, go to Fast Freddie's in Sosua #164; it was absolutely amazing, especially with the sweet heat sauce.

This place has been known to us for decades. Now the secret is out, thanks go the cruise port. Food is fresh and delicious. Support the vendors outside, buy an avocado, a bottle Mamajuana. And do not skip on dessert. The Dominican custards and baked coconut torta are to die for.

Delicious fish cooked at reasonable prices. Great family restaurant and atmosphere. You choose which fish you want to eat on the spot and also how you want it cooked, either steamed or fried. My father has been coming here since their inception, and now I see why. Fish is simply delish. I highly recommend you stop in before going to the beach, you won't regret it!!!

This is one of the better restaurants that I've been to in the Dominican Republic. It helps if you speak Spanish! It's a little pricey but you get to pick your own fish and tell them whether you want to grilled or fried and then at the table you pick your sides. The food taste decent twice that I've been there the fish was overcooked though but still season to perfection. The drinks here are pretty good they do not skimp on the alcohol LOL

I had invited my family to eat at this place, unfortunately starting with the parking area, it's a disaster, no comunication atolls, the service it's very slow, no coordination, you have to wait more than an hour for your food. Need more management to provide a better service to the customer. If you really want to enjoy your seafood, please no make the mistake and come on weekends or any festival day. I will not come back.

The food was close to excellent, however, some of the sauce was too blend.

Whenever we are in the DR, we like to get our fried red snapper and this place did not disappoint! You get to pick the fish you want and you pay by the pound. Compared to the US, the prices are cheap. Lunch for 4 people with beverages and desserts came out to about $20/pp and 2 fishes were enough for our group.

This was the most had to go spot for sea food in Maimon but I when there recently and it was terrible, the fish wasn't cook all the way, ask for the manager to have it re cook and he told me, I had to buy another one! never going back there again, did notice new spots opening around the area.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced they could have an improvement on the drinks and serving ice with the drinks wasn't enough of that however the wait staff was on point the restaurant was clean the fish was fresh and fried to perfection they were missing some plantains though

This is the best place for fresh saltwater fish, going here over 15 years. Seasoning is A+, pick and choice your fish and how you want it. Definitely a must go

Calamari was amazing and fresh. They ran out of the fish we wanted but everything was still tasty. Proper Dominican seafood.

Great fresh grilled Snapper and cold Presidente. Pick the fish you want from the market before you enter the restaurant. Tell them how you want it cooked. They will give you the price and a sticker number. Give that sticker to the host/hostess as you enter the restaurant. Overall good experience.

Service was good and the food better. I took a star away since they didn't accept credit cards but the fish calamari with the white sauce was good and they also have some balls of fish that are amazingly delicious. You get to pick your fish and they weight it. I'll add more pictures later.

Was brought here by our taxi guide. Nice open place. The service and food was good however the portion seemed to be much less then anywhere else I have been in the Dominican.
