We have visited the reef villa recently and it must have been beautiful a bit earlier days in pre-covid era. However, in my opinion the place need a full makeover to operate as a proper tourist destination. I was told the place is up for sale by the current owner. Need to get additional bathrooms for some rooms. Main stair is great but need a lot restoration. Overall, it’s a great place and near to the highway and Colombo and in the hotel zone.

Dear Airbnb community, I had the pleasure of staying at the Reef Bungalow Hotel in Sri Lanka and I cannot say enough about how delighted I am with my experience there! This hotel is not only beautiful and a place to relax, but also a place where you will be looked after from start to finish by an incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Every member of staff was tremendously helpful and I felt absolutely welcome and at home throughout my stay. In addition, I was really blown away by the hospitality of the hotel. You can tell that it is a great pleasure for the entire team to give the guests an unforgettable time. The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. Every morning I was greeted with the most delicious breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. It was prepared especially for me and every request was catered for. I also love the location of the hotel. It is in a quiet area where you can enjoy and relax in nature all around. Unfortunately, bathing is not directly possible, but here you have the option of being driven to the nearest bathing beach. So I didn't miss anything here either. Overall I would highly recommend the Reef Bungalow Hotel. The great service, the warmth of the staff and the incredibly good hospitality make this hotel a really special place. I know with absolute certainty that I will be back. Best regards,

A place worth for the price... Good service also... Found the place by accident, but this place is awesome.... They give pretty big rooms, which have separate sitting/tv area which have access to out side like from a glass door, which can be covered by curtains to save the privacy, and the room is separated by a door from the tv area, which also have a large glass door but its completely locked out, but can have a great view. There are 2 rooms below (I guess) which have direct acces to the pool. And another 2 room up. So the pool can be used by everyone who comes to this place.. They got room service too, each room has a menu card. Can take food inside or out side as we like. Staff is good, few people are there... As the manager said family gatherings came be done.. But partys with only boys are not allowed.

Best place to stay if you need to chill and enjoy directly at the seaside. I highly recommend the place.

We spend our first day at the reef bungalow. We arrived at 5am by taxi and were received by a big smile an helpful hands. The luggage was brought to our beautiful room. The breakfast is awesome, the employees are super friendly and helpful. The food they cook is super delicious. Must Visit ! Highly recommended . We stayed here for 02N and proceeded on rest on our journey in SL. Amazing hospitality . The in house chef & care takers were genuine and good . Food was finger licking good . Chef made special veg food for me and sea food for my partner . They made my Bday so memorable & special ... Thank You Team Reef Bungalow...we hope to visit you again !!

Hallo i was there for 2 nights. It was a beautiful quit place with seaside with a lovely room. The staff was very good . Gerard he makes good meals and is very friendly .
