Very good place for vegetarian food. Menu is similar to Tea villa Cafe in India. I have visited this place twice. First thing service is really really slow and quality is less according to the prices. On my second visit I noticed that prices for almost all food items had increased and almost 40% of list from menu was unavailable. Taste is pretty similar to the one in India. Indians and vegetarians will love this place. Tea / Chai is something you must must try.

The name of this place grabbed my attention! I had tried a place with same name in Bangalore, India.. had loved the place there so thought ll check this place too.. they have so many promotional offers that Keeps going on. We tried various dish , everything was tasty. Except their manchurian portion was very less… tea tasted very good. Loved their pizza. Recommend this place for everyone !!

The place really does try to please the appetite and palate of mumbai street food and chaat but really seem to be able to get the flavours right. The food in general is good and the ambience is uite decent. But they really mess up some very simple dishes like getting a Chilli Paneer right. The Vada Pav was really amazing and so was the Veg Machurian. Though we did order a Schezwan Noodle and we got a Hakka Noodle, the taste was still good. The service was great and so were the friendly staff. All in all, definitely a place i would come back to for some good vada pav but might skip the Indo Chinese cuisine.

The drawback with ordering food, is you have to pay before the food arrives. For each order, you have to pay 10% service charge which we felt was unfair for the customer. The food was decent - not very great either, not worth the price. The attitude of the staff too wasn't friendly, we felt unwelcome there. The tea served was lukewarm. Response to your comment - While we do appreciate the fact that you have embraced the technology, as a restaurant, if you are aware of the service charges on each order, it's as simple as communicating that to your customers before they can order their food. That's the unfair bit I mentioned and not discouraging the technology used.

The setting exudes vivacity, and the menu showcases an extensive array of offerings. Options include both conventional Indian delicacies, such as tandoori, biryani, and curries, as well as Western favorites such as pizzas, risotto, and pastas. The establishment additionally provides numerous vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The staff is hospitable and diligent, while the prices are reasonable.

At Desi Firangi on Katong Road, I had an amazing dining experience. The cozy ambiance and warm decor immediately charmed me upon entering. The staff's exceptional service and friendly demeanor made the meal even more enjoyable. Now, onto the food - the Chicken Risotto was creamy and delightful, while the Pav Bhaji fondue was a brilliant and interactive highlight. The Kulfi with pistachio crunch for dessert was simply divine. Desi Firangi offers a delightful fusion of flavors in a charming setting. Highly recommended!

Very poor service. For a restaurant that is atleast $$$ - we were served in chipped plates and cutlery. The servers were least interested in their jobs. Food was "okay" at the very best.

We were meaning to try this place for a long time. Finally made it for dinner one day. The dishes were good and very Indian in terms of spices and flavour. It has a very good ambience. Although the place is good, and food is good, it’s a bit pricey. Note: Do try their Bombay sandwich and mint chutney.

Amazing food and service! Ordered two types of pizza, pav bhaji fondue and the Bombay Sandwich. The pizzas really stood out to me and had a thin, light crust. Staff were very engaging and friendly, and we made great conversation! We also tried the Kashmiri Kahwa tea, which was a unique experience. Will definitely come again!

On a Saturday night, while we planned on ordering in at a friend’s place, a sudden realisation that we can now dine out led us to discover this eatery. Tea Villa Cafe, is a pure vegetarian cafe that offers a variety of options for tea (standing true to its name) with an elaborate menu ranging from quick bites to mains, and Indian to Mexican Indian. We made a quick reservation for 3 people and our table was ready when we walked in. The tables are spaced nicely and the vibe of the place in inviting. We scanned through the menu and started off with Chai and Fresh Lime Soda for drinks. The Chai was loved by my friends where as I felt the Lime Soda left me wanting for something more. It tasted packaged (use of essence) rather than fresh - this can definitely be improved. For food we ordered Paneer Chilli, Pani Puri, Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji Pizza(!!), Burnt Garlic Fried Rice, Bombay Sandwich and finished off with Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream. Paneer Chilli was really yummy and reminded me of how it’s done back home. The Pani Puri tasted nice however the Pani served was really less to suffice across 6 puris. Vada Pav was okay, but the chutney used had a slightly sweet taste which could have been avoided. Pav Bhaji Pizza was innovative and actually tasted like Pav Bhaji - this was great for the novelty factor but given that I am not a massive fan of Pav Bhaji, I probably wouldn’t repeat the order. The Burnt Garlic Fried Rice was great. The food served is indeed wonderful, however the portion sizes are quite less in comparison to the cost of the same. The service is great and was much appreciated. I am not sure if I would travel the distance to go back, but if you are in the area, do give it a try!

The best Indian cutting chai I’ve had in Singapore. Bonus, it comes in a cute kettle and the actual “indian cutting chai” cups. The food wasn’t too impressive. We ordered the panner sandwich which I was really excited for. But the panner was in slices instead of minced and that kinda made it taste like tofu. The flavour wasn’t very remarkable either. The falafel burger was unfortunately also a disappointment. The falafel was very dry. I’ve had waffles here before and they were good.

Best vegetarian friendly Cafe. Excellent, unassuming and wonderful find. Great variety and perfect tasting menu. Exciting food with high quality presentation, service and inventiveness. Baked Rassgula was delicious. Great for family and friends gathering. Book to avoid disappointment its really worth it. Phenomenal experience. Top notch food, atmosphere, and friendly staff.

The first time when I visited Tea Villa Cafe I was very impressed by the menu but to my surprise half of the items listed in the menu were not available. They had striked it out by ‘NA’ The waitress tried to convince me that due to shortage of staff/chef some items are not available. Today was my third time visiting Tea Villa hoping they had resolved their chef issue & to my disappointment this time the items not mentioned ‘NA’ were also not available. Almost any item we ordered was not available and we had to adjust to whatever was available. This is highly disappointing. If it’s there in the menu, it should be available else it shouldn’t be listed in the menu. The famous paan ice cream too was not available( only tub available for take away) This will be my last time here & will surely give the feedback to my friends.

The taste is good, ambience is good but I'm giving it 4 star because many items on the menu were not available after spending sometime and choosing the items from menu. It would be great if they mention what is available and what is not in the menu.

1st visit, but I must say that I'm totally impressed. Indian Fusion crusine. Taste is amazing. It's really unique, tastes great & served in style. Portion, I must say, is not very big but enough to fill your desire & suspicious. There's a lounge at level 2 with live Bolywood performance every Wed, Fri & Sun. Boss is really friendly & staff were patient, soft spoken & professional. Will definitely patronize this restaurant again. Reservation preferred. Can either reserve via their website or call. Damage for 3pax, $130+

The food wasn’t good at all. The only thing I liked there was vada pav. It was the only good thing. After that I ordered cauliflower manchurian and fried rice. Cauliflower manchurian was horrendous. It was literally fried with potato and and no cauliflower. Veg fried was again soft and watery. Fried rice is supposed to be dry and cooked well. After eating this we were scared to order any food. Well, to make the customers give them five star they have a thing like scan the QR and give 5 stars and in return you get a free desert which definitely felt like a scam to me. Instead of doing all these please serve good food and customers will rate you 5 stars genuinely. If you’re a vegetarian, I will never recommend this place. The behaviour of the staffs are nice. It’s not worth the penny. Please save your hard earned money somewhere else. I didn’t eat non veg so I cannot say. Good luck.

With more than a decade of experience running a pure veg restaurant, they are now rebranded as a hip and chic restaurant and bar serving Indian-fusion veg and non-veg food. We love these vegetarian dishes that are clearly inspired by cultures in different parts of the world! - Pani puri, a classic Indian street food - Mexican Bhel - Paneer Bhurji Quesadilla - Steamed/Masala Momos (dumplings) - Pesto pasta with Sundried tomatoes - Pav Bhaji Pizza

Recently, I had a wonderful dining experience at Desi Firangi on Katong Road, opposite Katong Square. From the moment I stepped in, I was charmed by the cozy ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. The interior was tastefully decorated with warm hues and comfortable seating, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal, whether you're dining with friends, family, or on a special date. The exceptional service provided by the staff at Desi Firangi added to the overall wonderful experience. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests, making the dining experience even more pleasant. Now, onto the food - I decided to try their Chicken Risotto, and it exceeded my expectations! The dish was incredibly creamy, and the addition of tender chicken bits elevated the flavors to another level, making each bite a delightful blend of comfort and richness. The highlight of the meal was the Pav Bhaji fondue - a fantastic idea! Combining the classic flavors of Pav Bhaji with the interactive element of fondue was truly brilliant, making the entire dining experience more enjoyable and unique. And to top it all off, the dessert was simply divine. I savored the Kulfi with pistachio crunch, and it was a delightful treat! The creamy Kulfi with its hints of traditional flavors paired perfectly with the pistachio crunch, adding a delightful texture and nutty taste. Desi Firangi impressed me with their creative menu, delicious food, and cozy ambiance. If you're looking for a place that offers a delightful fusion of flavors in a friendly and inviting setting, I highly recommend visiting Desi Firangi. I can't wait to go back and try more of their exciting dishes, including that irresistible Kulfi!

The atmosphere here is very relaxing and laid back during a mid-week afternoon. Came with a friend and we enjoyed a pot of tea each. They provide you a top up on the water if you ask for it for your tea. The staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the tea on the lists. There is an extensive tea menu with many types of black, white, green, fruit and other teas.

We went to the restaurant at around 10:30pm, and the kitchen supposed to be close already, but the shop manager kindly let us in and asked the kitchen to cook for us. That was very lovely of him. We ordered Fondu, Pizza, Pani Puri and Mango Lassi. Everything we ordered were delicious!! Especially Pani Puri, a must try. The shop manager is super friendly and polite, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. He explained that the restaurant is a family business. He even offer us a really nice dessert as a service. Will definitely bring our family and friends next time.

The food was really good. It was my first timing visiting while my friends had visited this place previously before they rebranded to Desi Firangi. Loved the Jalapeño chilli margarita. The pizza crust was perfect. The Mexican bhel was spicy and tangy. The masala mom's both vegetarian and non vegetarian were delicious too. The baked rasagulla was tooo good. Loved the malpua with rabri too. The staff were very kind and the owner accommodated to our request to play a song as we were celebrating a promotion and a farewell. The pavbhaji fondue was innovative while the desi pani puri was perfect. Overall great good and atmosphere. Will certainly be back!

Good place to have food with Indian taste. We ordered Bombay sandwich, red sauce pasta (which they mistaken with spinach sauce pasta and apologised as well for the mistake ), fully veg loaded pizza, masala momos and brownie with vanilla ice-cream. Taste was good and staff was so nice there.

Located at East Coast Road, Desi Firangi brings together the best of Indian and international flavors. With their creative inventions, Desi Firangi offers an unforgettable and fun dining experience for all! One of the highlights at Desi Firangi is the Pani Puri, a popular Indian street food. These crispy shells filled with spicy, tangy, and refreshing ingredients create an explosion of flavors in every bite. The Masala Chicken is another crowd-pleaser - juicy chicken drumettes marinated in a flavorful blend of spices, fried to perfection, and tossed with a mildly hot tangy sauce. If you're in the mood for something unique, try the Enchiladas Lamb. This dish combines Indian and Mexican flavors by wrapping tender, slow-cooked minced lamb in soft tortillas, smothering them in a zesty sauce, and topping them with melted cheese. It's a truly mouthwatering delight that showcases the best of both cuisines. Desi Firangi also offers a twist on traditional dishes, such as the Pav Bhaji Fondue. This popular Indian street food is served fondue-style, allowing you to dip warm, buttered pav buns into a rich and flavorful medley of mashed vegetables, spices, and buttery goodness. It's a playful and delicious take on a classic dish. For pizza lovers, the Butter Chicken Pizza is a must-try. This unique creation combines the creamy and aromatic flavors of butter chicken with a crispy pizza crust. A delightful fusion of Indian and Italian cuisines that will leave you craving for more. To complement the delicious food, Desi Firangi also offers a selection of wines and cocktails. The Fratelli wine, with its bright red fruit and Indian spice notes, is a perfect choice for wine enthusiasts. For cocktail lovers, the Paan Martini is a captivating blend of traditional paan leaves and modern mixology, creating a refreshing and unique taste experience. Whether you're looking for traditional Indian flavors or exciting fusion creations, this place has something for everyone. With its lively atmosphere and delectable offerings, it's a dining experience that will leave you with lasting memories!

Visited here on friend's recommendation. They recently revamped the place and the menu to align with local crowd. The owner was outgoing and friendly. We tried the pav bhaji fondue upon his recommendation. It was a very unique take of the humble street food. The taste and presentation of the dish blew us away. Masala coke is worth trying as well. The price is on higher side, but the taste more than makes up for it. We will be back!

Cosy Indian Fusion eatery along katong area. Had 5 pax and was served by the owner himself personally who was very hospitable and explained what’s the difference between the north and South Indian culture. Apparently the staff are all from Kolkata and it’s is hard to do Indian fusion food :) Enjoyed the dishes and the different flavours that came with it. Let the pictures do the talking!

This place is a hidden gem for Indian vegetarian food lovers. You will be taken aback by the way they serve tea😉. The best healthy hygienic Indian I have had in singapore. If you are missing flavours of india go there and you will definitely find something or the other to quench your thirst! Speaking of thirst, yes they do serve alcohol as well 😁. Super friendly staff, excellent service, you will not feel a single thing out of place. Must try- Dal khichdi with pickle (yes u r reading it ryt!!). I tried various of their dishes, spicy, non-spicy, too spicy and all of them were pretty easy on the stomach too. Do visit once!

The pizza is horribly bad. 1. They dont bake fresh base, it was hard like papad. 2. Bland taste. I had confirmed if it is a fresh baked base and was told yes. Worst experience and wasted 22$. Never try the pizza at this location, not sure about other dishes.

The service is horrible. Sitting in this place on Saturday 9.30 pm 1. Trying to clarify some ingredients for the tea no one responds to us. Lady at the cashier says sorry you came at peak hour or busy period. So you don't bother about your customer? 2. The barcode we scanned to see the menu had some issues registering details, went to the counter again the lady just turn her back doing her work and not even entertaining us even though she clearly saw us there at the counter. So basically if your service sucks during peak hour, hire more god damn people.

Ambience is good. Food was tasty too. Service was ok but could have been little faster. Ordered Pav Bhaji Cubes ( Cubes are crispy ones incase dislike don't go for this take the traditional one), pav bhaji pizza was good, peri peri fries, bombay sandwich, quesadilla, tomato soup, sizzling brownie. Everything was good. They have online order where offer like 1 for 1 beer was there but most of the items were not available however some where available via table service ( looks one of the main chef was not well hence some items marked available got to know from waiter)

We went for a weekday lunch and were a little disappointed with the limited menu. Esp.since chaat wasn't available till 4pm ! Found it a little expensive and nothing extraordinary about the food. The staff upstairs wasn't very friendly either and the e-ordering over their website was a pain!

Great food. AWESOME collection of teas. I have to come back just for the teas. Reasonably priced and they have Bira beer as well! The Mac and cheese was awesome for the babies. Service was very nice as well. The service from Tripti was very nice as well.

A Good concept restaurant. They have lot of different types of tea (both with and without milk). Most of the credit to the food presentation. Tried their “Shanti” tea - awesome taste and literally helped with some peace of mind. Then tried their special tea (milk based tea like any Indian chai), it was also good and flavourful. Food - tried 1) wedges - good crispy 2) veg Pizza - thin crust but I didn’t liked the mozzarella cheese, i expected Parmesan or the other cheese but overall quantity and quality was good. 3) Pav Bhaki Fondue - taste was little lower than what I expected but the presentation was really good :) Will visit again!!

The place is too good. Food is just the way you expect , authentic indian touch and served fresh and hot. We tried Vada Paw , Samosa, Pav Bhaji masala tea : all perfect, highly recommended, it's a vegetarian restaurant. Informal sitting...

We were a group of 6 friends that visited the cafe on 2nd Jan 2021. Being from Mumbai and having been to Tea Villa there , I was coming with high expectations of the place, the food, the ambience and the experience of it, and maybe that's the reason why I was left wanting much much more. Below I have listed what we ordered and the individual review of the dishes. Manchow Soup and Chinese Bhel - Above average, felt just like back in India. Pav Bhaji Fondue - Average, it's just a normal pav bhaji, presented differently. Paneer tikka pizza - Nothing extraordinary. The paneer is not even tikka, it's just small cubes of paneer tossed on a Margherita pizza. Paneer Chilli - The paneer was dry on the inside and there wasn't any ginger/garlic/soy gravy at all. It was basically just tossed in a few pieces of bell pepper and onions. Burnt garlic fried rice - Average and relatively better compared to the disaster that was Schezwan rice. They should simply rename it to be ketchup rice, because that's what it was. Absolutely no hint of Schezwan sauce or any spice. It was sweet and sticky. A huge huge letdown considering it was the second to last dish we ordered We also ordered waffles and pancakes for dessert. Both were quite nicely done and helped redeem an otherwise abysmal food experience.

The cafe has nice Indian street food options like Grilled Paneer Sandwich, Chinese Bhel, etc. I had the Grilled Paneer Sandwich. It was good, however, I feel the place is a bit overpriced. For the price, I feel the taste was just okay. Probably, this dish was just not a great choice, but rest of the stuffs might be better.

👍👍 👍😉🧧😋 Nice authentic laska , just the right amount of chilies, spices and coconut. The overall texture of the while Noodle just nice. It will be good if the base soup is hotter. The Otak average no that fresh . The Nasi Lemak $2.00 . No need to think just buy !😉🧧😋🙃🤒
