Went there for a quiz night. Great atmosphere, lovely wines. Be warned, though, the “TGV” nuts and their truffle crisps are addictive!

What an awesome night out! Brilliant atmosphere both cosy yet enough space to chat privately! Food was simply Devine and the wine was impeccable! Service is what sets it into a class of its own! Adrian’s knowledge of wine is amazing coupled with his ability to suggest the perfect compromise to our tables varied taste! A rare find and a gem! Definitely a regular on our calendar!!!

Popped in to pick up some wine on the way to a dinner and Adrian took the time to talk us through the different varieties and gave us some absolutely brilliant recommendations that we wouldn't have typically chosen! Will definitely be back!

Such a great evening. Atmosphere, food (mixed sharing platters & pizza) alongside drinks were all excellent. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Discovered a new favourite drink for when we return again very soon. Definitely recommend 👌

Lovely staff, amazing wines (so many to choose from!) mixed board was so yummy it came with plenty of food to feed four. Definitely be coming back for the wine tastings!

What a great little find - tucked up a side street and then inside a brilliant variety of wine to choose from, great staff and a good menu for some light bites - would not hesitate to recommend and will be back - thanks Adrian and team for a super evening

Great range if wines, an excellent and friendly manager who knew his stuff, great atmosphere that could be added to by some subtle classical background music, perhaps. The charcuterie board was delicious. Definitely worth another visit.

Lovely experience at The Grape Variety today. Extensive wine options, knowledgeable owner, and the baked camembert was amazing! Lovely way to end our trip, will be back next year for sure.

An atmospheric wine bar with delicious, reasonably priced wine, luscious cheese and charcuterie boards and great staff. I've attended the Wednesday night quiz (run every other week) a couple of times recently and they are fun evenings - nobody takes it too seriously and money is raised for the local school. Tghey also host gin tasting evening. Highly recommended.

What a let down. Used to come here regularly, loved this place. Popped in to see our old friends a couple of months ago but not one friendly face remains. Flowers and candles on the tables replaced with a vinyl disc ! Very tacky. It was dirty, stuffy and poor choice of music which was way too loud. Our server had the most sour attitude. Was going to eat but our olives starter came from a dirty looking jar on the bar top. What happened to this lovely place?

Myself and five friends made up a team at this Cosy Wine Bars Quiz/Trivia night yesterday... At only a suggested donation of £5 for a local charity we thought "Why not" We had an absolutely fantastic evening (even though we didn't win!) The Quiz was really good and had something for everyone.. The Quiz Master Adrian was very entertaining and the tempo was just right, plenty of time to drink wines from all over the world, beers, soft drinks and order from the delicious menu.. I'd definitely recommend this place for a date night or group of friends evening and parking is free outside alongside the nearby 166 bus and Chipstead Railway Station..I believe Pizza Project are there on Thursdays, so another excuse to return 😊
