Because it was such a nice experience, I must rate it 4 stars. However, I find it ridiculous that you have to pay so much extra for a couple of digital pictures. I mean what's the point of the initial price, which was already not cheap? I asked about it at the start but the answer was cleverly avoided... Please be honest and clear up front about prices. The printed picture is cute but I'd have much rather gotten a digital one to post on social media. (=also a win for you??) bitter aftertaste...

Nice and friendly service and the photographer was nice enough to let us go outside to take some photos in the costume. But by default the pictures will be with black background so if you want something different then make sure you discuss the full details before starting. The default package will be 25€ pr person. The camera used is looking more like a tourist camera and not a professional camera, although it's connected to a professional flash system. I was also a bit surprised when one of the pictures she printed out had a piece of the white ceiling in the top left corner. So while I like their selection of clothing, the photographer skills and equipment are lacking

A perfectly quirky, charming photo shop that makes a great date night in Delft. The staff can accommodate daytime or evening photo shoots. They are responsive and delightful. Our photo shoot was so much fun. Be sure to add-on tea after your photos, as it's great fun to be surrounded by gorgeous costumes.

Barbara was super nice, and all the costumes were on point :O the photoshoot was a lot of fun and I got to wear beautiful dresses. Would def come again!

Barbara of Something Extra is sharp, witty, thorough and has an extensive selection of baroque and Dutch Golden Age era costumery. Her ‘atelier’ is exquisite and a visit to dress up in her costumes and pose for her camera is a 5 star experience. Barbara is a photographer, choreographer, model, filmmaker and all around cool person which makes this different than an average photo-op. Vermeer is on your feet here. Do Something Extra in Delft!

Myself and a group of 10 visited Something Extra as part of my girlfriend 30th birthday party. We thought this would be a fun way to introduce Delft to our American friends, and it turned out to be one of the best activities ever. The owner was so much fun, guiding the event as we got dressed up to portray Jan Steen’s famous painting “Soo voer gesongen, soo na gepepen”. The end product was so cool, framed pictures of each of us, along with the group shot. The vibe was fun, informative and interesting. This will be remembered for years to come and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. 5 stars all day!

So much fun and so authentic. Barbara does a fantastic job getting just the right shot. More than worth the price. Her costume collection is unbelievable.
