Overall, you definitely get what you pay for. I stayed in a four person room that did have a bathroom and shower in it, which was nice. However, you are not allowed to shower from 11 PM to 7 AM because it "disturbs others," which is a little bit strange because you cannot hear other showers from within the room. You also cannot physically be in the rooms from. 11 AM to 3 PM because they "clean" the rooms, which is essentially them sweeping, but it never really looked too different. Also, because of this cleaning, they will physically move your bags onto your bed, which is not very sanitary considering your bags go all over the place. Also, during that time frame they will not allow back into your room at all. They will actually start knocking on every door at 10:40 AM reminding you that you can't be there soon. There is also only one key for each room that had to left at the front desk when you leave the hostel. This makes it very annoying if you have people getting back to your hostel very late. Lastly, their wifi is abysmal and barely works. You'll have better luck just using your mobile data. It's also shut off during the day, which makes sense considering you are not allowed to be in it at all. One nice benefit of this hostel is that the breakfast is free and included. However, be sure to finish by eleven as they will start removing all the chairs around you so they can clean. If you are okay with everything I listed above, by all means make a reservation here. However, be aware that these things do happen.

It's a cheap hostel, but despite that they could have a better service, they don't offer towels, there is no hand soap, there are no chairs in the room, the wi-fi only works for a certain number of hours but the worst of all is the cleanliness... when we entered the room there were dirty places that were not cleaned during our entire stay, which was several days. The positive points are the location close to the metro, supermarkets and bars. The staff are quite friendly and attentive.

If you just want a place to crash, go for it but don't expect anything except for bunk beds. Check-in is from 15:00, fair enough no complaints. But there is strange and weird rule that you have to leave your room before 11:00 in the morning. From 11:00 to 15:00 you can't be in your room which is I believe a pathetic rule. One day we were late and told by the rude receptionist that they may charge us full room price as a penalty. Won't return to this place ever.

Miss leading information when we booked. We booked a double bed room which we assumed was a double bed in a private room. But it was a bunk bed in a private room with shared shower. You have to vacate the room from 10am to 3pm ! Weird policy Good location Shower is below average

if i could give less than 0 stars i would. this place is absolutely filthy. stains on the walls and sheets. 2 toilets PER FLOOR, that you have to share with everyone else. breakfast doesn’t look promising and i’m pretty sure there’s mold growing on the wall of our room. there isn’t even a sink to wash your hands by the toilets, you have to go back and do that in your room. oh and for some reason you absolutely cannot be in your room between 11 am and 3 pm? that feels very sketchy. considering abandoning this place early and booking a different place. absolutely disgusting. i would rather sleep on a park bench than this place not gonna lie

Pretty abysmal and absolutely couldn't stay - walked out. Was week of Rugby World Cup and Paris Fashion so very little choice. Unfortunately booked non-refundable so had to forfeit entire amount. BOOK REFUNDABLE because when you see this place you will have second thoughts. And they will not budge on this at all. That is on me but for what you pay this is subpar, even by Paris standards. Individual room was 4 bunk beds over 2 levels with filthy and decrepit interior. No air. No towels. No amenities. Zero atmosphere. They charged city taxes despite the booking saying they would not charge any further taxes whatsoever. Very good location, but would absolutely avoid. Grim.

Wish there was something lower than 1 star for them. Worst customer service ever! We had to change our reservation because of travel restrictions, the hotel didn't reply emails, phone calls , nothing! Well that's because they took the money! Now no answer from them. Terrible!

Budget hostel but still, this was exceptionally subpar. Stayed here last week. A quick rundown of what went wrong: - Grimy bathroom and dirty room with dirty dishes from previous guests still left in room - No ceiling fan, so warm and humid at night we had to leave the window (with no screen) open to the alleyway so we could get SOME sleep - Unusable Wi-Fi - “breakfast” was just a plain baguette with only jam available - Had to pay €3 to “hire” a towel that smelled like stinky feet so we had something to lay on the bathroom floor after a shower - Shower lacks bare necessities like towel hooks, a soap holder in the shower itself, or a bathroom fan - Bunk beds relentlessly and loudly squeaked and twanged every time someone rolled over in the night, waking everyone in the room up - Have to return your key every time you leave the hostel - Can’t be in the room between 11 and 3. WTAF? Essentially, this business cuts corners at every opportunity yet still charges respectable prices. Staff on the front desk were nice though.

It’s the first time in my life that I have to leave my room from 11:00 to 15:00 because the hotel want to “clean” although you can’t deny because is a rule, even if you booked the entire week. Wifi doesn’t work at all so you better have data. Rooms smell bad and looks like a jail. Outside looks amazing, but inside is really bad. You have to share one bathroom men and girls and the same with showers. If you want to visit Paris, check rooms with time. I know this place is cheap, but they probably care more about rooms and the stupid rules they have. The location was good, only the positive thing! Otherwise nothing good to say.

I mean, we were expecting to have something bad giving the price, but the overall experience was ten times worse than expected. It was impossible to take a shower in this dirty place, the toilet was impossible to use and the bed impossible to describe: the noise, the quality, the smell of the sheets. If you have more than 1.70m it is impossible to sit on the toilet with the closed door. Also, you are not ALLOWED to be in the room between 11:00 and 15:30. And not permitted to have a shower after 23:00. My opinion is: pay 10 euro more per night and go to the next hostel on the list.

As they say in other comments, you get what you pay for. The hostel is pretty decent, Paris is a very expensive city, so this is okay. The location is not the best because it is super far away from city highlights, but again...for the price, this is excellent. I stayed with a friend in a room for two and it was clean and spacious. The showers and toilets were clean, a little small, but nothing to complain about. There are many mini markets around, so if you feel hungry, you can easily find something to eat.

Overall it was a decent place to stay, you definitely get what you pay for and not anything more. One thing to note is that there are no luggage lockers anywhere only small safes in the rooms. My biggest complaint is that it is NOT a youth hostel. It is advertised as only guests 30 and under but most people either had small children with them or were over the age of 45. Also it is about 30 minutes on transit from many of the main tourist attractions.

This place might be cheap but there's a reason. Not only do the rooms leave much to be desiered but from 11-3 pm everyday you will be kicked out if your room and unable to access your things. The wifi will also be completely turned off during this time and you will not be allowed to stay in the common areas. They do this for "cleaning" but our rooms looked exactly the same as we left them. Also check out is at 11 and they will start harassing you as early as 10 to get out. A man just came into our room this morning (at 10:05) unannounced while I was changing, and quickly left when he realized we were still in there. And then they kept knocking on our door to "remind" us we needed to be out by 11. Absolutely disgraceful how this place is being run. I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay, saving the money was not worth it.

There are probably better prison cells in Paris than this, lots of rules that are not enforced, for example people smoking, which can be smelled quite distinctly in the corridors and is extremely dangerous in such a building with very narrow staircases, groups of people in rooms making lots of noise all night, people showering all night ( rule is not after 11pm) very expensive for what you get,not even a basic chair in a room which is not particularly clean or accommodating. The ONLY good point is it's proximity to the Gare de Lyon, unfortunately when I asked the reception attendant which way to go on departure, he claimed not to know, other staff were suspicious and lacking in manners. My advice would be to only stay here if your desperate.

The location is good, but the staff and rooms are horrible. I haven't experienced simething like this. You have to leave the room from 11 till 15 o'clock during the day.

Bed sheets where dirty. Forced to be out of the rooms from 11 to 3, except they just open your door at 10 looking to get in. While you are out of the room from 11 to 3 all the doors are unlocked on every floor and wide open. This is a huge security issue. You must leave your key at the front desk, sometimes you can just tell them a room number and they will give you that key if they are busy. The front desk is often busy so when you qant to get your key each day you may have to wait dozens of minutes.

15€/Night is indeed really cheap and a Good option for people who wanna save some money. The location is amazing and near a metro station so you can get around quite easily. But that’s it for the good points. I had a twin girls dorm. It was small, had a loft bed and a sink. That’s it actually. Also the blanket had no bedding which was kinda gross, so I would recommend taking one with you. On the website it was stated that there will be residents aged 18-30, which is clearly false as there were men way older there too! And as young girls travelling that made me and my friend kinda uncomfortable. However what can u expect for 15€/night? I really recommend you to just pay a bit more for a decent hostel or hotel, just to make your stay more comfortable. But if you are fine with the things stated above, this might be a money saver for you!

We stayed at the Auberge Internacional de Paris many years ago and it was excellent, however at this time we experiences a terrible customer service at front desk. The web page offers to pay by card and confirm online the reservation, however at the front desk they have a note informing you have to pay cash arguing the bank machine is broken and asking you to go outside to an ATM machine otherwise you cannot stay even though you already paid the confirmation before arrive. We stay from may11th to May 14th. When asking front desk for towel, a better room, soap, a chair to seat they answer we will have to pay extra for each thing we need. The webpage does not inform you the rooms are almost empty and in bad shape, no bed sheets, etc. so we feel like staying in a camping building in Paris. Joao a Brazilian young guy at the front desk could not take any responsibility because he is leading by the manager on dutI and was unable to take any decision. Will rate this place less than 0 stars. If the admimistration of the Auberge has change, we really asked to review and confirm our notes, I hope in a near future you take our comment in consideration and improve in all services.

We stayed there on the 26/2/2023 4 people 2 bunk beds we had a separate shower it was basic but not to bad and a bargain price of £47 with tax we just wanted to kip for the night after driving from Birmingham will be going again but will stay longer instead of just 1 night in France. Alot of reviews on here are people wanting a 5 star hotel for peanuts which will never happen you get what you pay for.

Really bad hostel , no access to room for 4 hours a day! 0 Facilities, not working wifi, dirty walls. No soap and sanitizers during COVID time on floors or rooms, no ventilation. Many hidden costs. On our first morning, exactly at 11AM someone knocked our room and straight away entered the room, it was a man. I felt so insecure, so we left, as apparently they needed to clean room, on our return we were told we don't have access to room at all for 4 hours from 11 to 3pm even we were staying there for 5 days, you can not even grab your staff, like passport in emergency for example. Apparently, no one gave us any instructions while checking and when booking it doesn`t show clearly on main page that you wont have access at all for 4 hours. It was just mentioned that rooms are closed from 11 to 3, but no one said you will be refused to even access your own belongings. When we demanded to have access and questioned why we cant use it they could not give us any proper answer. 2nd Point Shower - zero stars. First a fall, there was no light at all for 3 days, so you shower in complete darkness, plus in one of the cabins handle was just falling off (for entire stay - 5 days) 3rd point ROOM Mattresses are kind of plastic so every move is super loud, every time i moved my sister was waking up. As sister slept on top bunk bed you can see how bed was bended inside, so you kinda sink inside of a mattress, so she slept very poorly all these days. Room doesn't have any ventilation and you have to open window if you want to breathe, bare in mind windows facing inner terrace where people are constantly speaking and laughing. There is no chair or a table, but there are no even simple hooks. in my room 106 curtains were dirty and 2nd safe was not working, so we were left with 1. Room is tiny but light was so poor that it was constantly dark. 4th point STAFF - never seen such variety of receptionists, some did not care at all, some were super rude. You must to leave key with reception and guess what if you come back and want to collect your key, they ask for a paper that you stay there, and if you left your passport and paper in a room you wont be given they key! When you complain about important things they just don`t care, very inhuman. When we came late one night hotel door was closed and it was written that receptionist goes around the property, so we waited to be let in! 5th POINT FACILITIES There are literally ZERO - toilet seat broken in ladies and its only 1 women and men toilet on the whole floor. No light, no even SOAP or sanitizers next to common or room sinks (during covid times!) so its not even COVID compliant place! They dont provide towels you need to rent them. On first evening we wanted to get towels but were told they rented all of them! so we could not even take shower!!! Forget about hair dryers or irons! Wifi never worked. No showers after 11PM.

My booking with the hostel was cancelled because they said payment was not received but money was taken out from my bank and I emailed them with screenshots for proof. The booking service manager is very poor in communication, I was dismissed with no money back. Be careful of this.

For the price, this hostel does the job. More practical than comfortable. The two-bed room I was in didn't look any welcoming, it was old and the walls were dirty. There was a sink in the room, a safe, a few coat hangers. The mattress seemed alright. There's only one thin blanket but it smelt a little funny, I don't think it's washed between every customer. There's a pillow, but you're supposed to bring your sleeping bag, as well as towel for the shower, which there is on each floor. I wasn't cold at night. A very simple breakfast is included. Don't come here if you're sensitive to noise because it's a hotel for people 30 years old at most, filled with students, so everyone moves about until late and the walls aren't soundproof at all. In short, you can come here for a cheap night in Paris, not to have a super good night of sleep. For the price, I am satisfied.

Despite the many complaints - I don't know what people expect. You get what you pay for, which in my case, was perfect. Budget Accommodation in a central, well-contected area of the city. The rooms were and facilities were cleanly to a satisfactory standard and the breakfast was a welcome addtition. We stayed in the 2 bed, private bunk option which suited us incredibly well. Would highly recommend to anyone of all ages looking to save some money on accommodation in Paris.

You pay but you have to leave the room from 11 to 15 everyday, even if someone is resting because was sick. No air in the room, bad smell from the toilet. Overall not the greatest option. Won’t go again

Disaster, I will never go back. They close the “hostel” from 11 to 15 everyday and you must leave. Only 1 outlet to charge the phone for 4 people. Bad smell, horrible staff, mainly the reception guy

Positives 👍: - For a hostel in Paris in summer it was nice and cheap. My friend and I shared a room and both payed around £20 a night - The location is really good!! Very close to the number 8 métro line and some bus stops. There are lots of lovely cafés and restaurants too. - Friendly staff who spoke multiple languages - Breakfast is included in the price (it includes a baguette, butter, jam, a madeleine, orange juice, and a hot drink) - There's a safe in the room and plenty of storage space - We had access to Wi-Fi in the communal area which also had lots of plug sockets Negatives👎: - We stayed on the ground floor so the showers were a little far away (on the first floor and through some corridors) - The shared toilet didn't have a sink - The room was a little dirty (found hairs on the floor and a used plaster in the cabinet) - Our room got very humid and opening the window wasn't very helpful because of the lack of airflow. - We couldn't access Wi-Fi in our room which was a little inconvenient Neutral: - You need to be out of your room between 11am and 3pm BUT that wasn't an issue for us because we were out and about in Paris Overall a pleasant stay👍I'd recommend for students or people on a budget who want to stay in Paris for a few days to explore

The expectations from a youth hostel are low, and it satisfied all of them. The room was clean, heater worked perfectly. i shared a room with my girlfriend and it was alright. They do not provide anything except sheets pillows and quilts which was expected. Breakfast was satisfactory. Lockers were working perfectly. Location was perfect. People should know what to expect from a hostel because then they wont be disappointed

  • 2/5 Matthew Y. 2 years ago on Google
It is basically the worst hostel I’ve ever been! The light in the room is soooooo dim and smells really bad. The room had a big musty smell. And the hot water in the room is not always on in the evening. The height of the bed is also very inappropriate, too low for sitting on the bed. The soundproofing effect of the room is not good. After 11 o'clock, other people can be heard playing music loudly using Bluetooth speakers, and no one will deal with it. What’s worse there is no light in the bathroom and no hair dryer.

  • 5/5 Ziggy H. 2 years ago on Google
I honestly think anyone who leaves this hostel a bad review just doesn't know what a youth hostel is supposed to offer. For this price and this location, this place is definitely amazing.

  • 1/5 José Carlos O. 2 years ago on Google
Worst experience ever. Safety is not a concern for them. My luggage got stolen in this hostel. If you ask them to store your luggage for you while you go out and visit the city, they will not take care of it or watch over it. They just let you put it in racks inside of a closet where everyone has access to, so anyone can take any bag at any time. When I told them what happened and asked them to help me, they just told they did not have access to the security footage and there was nothing else they could do. Anyone can take any bag at any time and just leave with it without the personnel of the hostel even caring.

The twin bed room was changed to a bunk bed room without and there was no willingness to do anything about it. The blankets had brown stains on them and it took talking to several staff members to change them. Per hallway there were only two toilets which resulted in them being extremely dirty quickly every day. Also it was very noisy. The location in the city is good but all in all I would recommend to go to another place even if it is a bit more expensive.

  • 3/5 Bahast A. 2 years ago on Google
The price for the location is good and the building it self is not bad for a €17 a night hostel full of youths, if you are a sensitive person and can’t sleep easily it is not a place for you, also there is one toilet and 3 showers in each floor, 1 power outlet beside a cup board out of your reach and you gotta get up early for having a place to eat your breakfast. Tips: 1- try to book a room on the ground floor so you take your breakfast in your room. 2- buy Nutella or any cream you want for your breakfast because there is not any good one there. 3- don’t forget to take slippers.

  • 4/5 Giovanni T. 2 years ago on Google
We booked one month earlier and we paid 15€ per night each one for a double room. Obviously the hostel give only what is strectly necessary but I think is enough. The place is clean and we had no problem. Surely It's not a 5 star, but I think it's a really valid option for a low budget trip.

We stayed here with 11 students from Eindhoven for our study trip. Super good price-quality value! We had clean rooms for ourselves (4p rooms) with our own bathroom. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Besides, even the breakfast was included for the low price (don't expect too much, but still nice to start the day!) And the location was perfect: very central located next to metro line 8. Every spot in Paris was reachable within 1 or 2 metro's. Strong recommendation for students!

Beware of this place. I made a mistake in my reservation. I tried to cancel it but it was impossible to figure out who to talk to. Called, spoke to receptionist, could not help and said I have to write email. I wrote email back and forth for a 9 days, my wife wrote as well, they said the reservation was cancelled and would not be reimbursed for the deposit. Even then, I kept receiving messages asking me to check-in. I called again and the reservation was effectively not cancelled. So in the end what happens is that I will be a not-show, and they will validate their non-reimbursement policy. It is run almost as a scam, frictionless to book, a lot of friction to cancel.

Perfectly OK for a bed for the night - less than 15 mins walk to Gare du Lyon so convenient for getting an early train the next morning. It's also less than 5 mins walk from the closest metro so easy to travel to other areas of Paris. Staff very friendly and helpful and our room had comfortable beds and its own shower and sink. Some of the toilets were out of order so at one point the closest one was a couple of floors down, but overall it seemed decent value for the location.

+ excellent location - nice, lots of bakeries, restaurants around + breakfast included (small because small, but always something) - appearance of the cell - it is forbidden to bathe after 11 p.m. and stay in the room between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m

Worst experience ever… the personal was so rude and uninvited, when times over for the meals the personal take off all the people in a very bad way. There’s no towels at the rooms, so you have to rent it, the problem? There’s not either renting towels at the reception… at the end, they can found a dirty towel to rent. Three times (one per day) the receptionist was not at their place, so you had to wait (one time for 20 minutes) until the people appeared to attend… the breakfast was a disaster… there was no elevator, rooms were so small, and a badly constructed bathroom… it's a complete nightmare to be at this hostel.
