I cannot say enough about the diligence, insight and enthusiasm Xavier showed in helping me research the history of my Norwegian ancestors' immigration to Quebec. My initial email contained a formidable request; “I am looking for someone to help me identify the buildings my grandmother would have seen when her ship landed in Quebec in 1866 and find photographs of the city and port from that period.” Xavier responded immediately and within a few days had provided me with what became the foundation of my understanding of her travel experience. He sent me copies of historical images and newspapers from that time and, when we met, was able to take me not only to the relevant sights in Quebec but also in Levis. In addition to being a very nice person and exceptional researcher, Xavier is an excellent guide to the general history of Quebec. He loves history and it shows. We could not have met our objectives for our trip without his guidance and support.

Xaviers tour was very informative and a bit different than normal tours as he and Kim dug into the genealogy and showed areas and information about my ancestors.

Xavier was able to tell us lots of interesting information about Quebec without boring with too many dates and names. We had a nice two hour stroll through the old town, lots of breaks to be able to sit down and enjoy the history told by Xavier

Xavier was so great - this is who you want for a Quebec City tour! My wife and I, with another couple, spent four days in Quebec City prior to a cruise in early October 2023. We wanted a good introductory walking tour of the Olde Town area and we heard about Xavier from our son. In two hours, Xavier not only showed us the sites but gave really fascinating details, and gave us great insights into what to follow up on for more exploration during our stay. Thanks Xavier! We enjoyed our tour around Old Quebec. Xavier was knowledgeable and entertaining. We definitely recommend the tour as a must for the first days of stay! Helpful tips as far as where to shop, eat and find restrooms were awesome as well.

Xavier did an awesome job with our genealogical tour. I had previously done some research but he really gave us a great historical perspective to the places my ancestors lived. His research gave me a lot of new insight into my heritage and a lot of new information to digest. He also gave us a good understanding of the current state of Quebec. We had a wonderful time exploring the city with our guide. I had known several settlers, explorers and fur traders of Quebec City were in my family tree but I had not known how many or how significant. It was amazing to hear the different stories and happenings from 400 years ago. I only wish the genealogist would provide an electronic copy. Best tour ever!!! 10/10 highly recommend!
