This place is bang at the Umbrella Alley. It was a weekday and we got our tables quickly. We chose to be at the bar. We loved the atmosphere of music in the background, soccer match on the tv and the place with hustle bustle. Our server was awesome and made sure we are comfortable. We ordered for Nachos and Shack’s poutine. Nachos were love…and poutine was very different as I have never had a poutine like this before. We really enjoyed it. Their location is the best advantage they got.

BEST food in all of Quebec! TOP notch. We just returned from our trip and ate here two days in a row. The staff were very kind and attentive. Best service in all of Quebec too. The prices are extremely reasonable. I have eaten at a lot of places around the world and the flavours of these dishes were mouth watering. I HIGHLY recommend the onion soup as a starter. SOOOOO yummy! Make sure to make a reservation!

Loved the authentic, European, back-alley pub style feel of Q-De-Sac. It was a wet, rainy day when my wife and I stumbled upon this place in Petit Champlain. Beautiful upwards view of the Chateau as well. We were looking for a good French Onion soup and boy, did they deliver. Tasty, authentic, and homey, it was exactly what we needed. I believe it was voted one of the best in Quebec City. They had a gorgeous wood oven for pizza as well and when I get a chance to go back, I will certainly try that. We also ordered a beef tartare, and a classic poutine. Both very tasty and delicious. The server was a super nice guy, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable. Spoke both in English and French. We were there in the afternoon but it seems like a place that could get pretty rowdy on a weekend night. The patio looked spacey and comfortable as well. Definitely a place you should try, and a place I'll frequent when I'm back in QBC.

Great spot for a drink, beer, dinner, basically anything! :) We tried some soups and a beef tartare - delicious! All of the cocktails look and taste flawlessly. The bartender, Vincent, is a super nice person who will take a good care of you :) Wood-burning stove inside is a nice touch, we didn't try any pizzas but they looked and smelled delicious too! One of our faves in QC :)

I enjoyed my onion soup and duck wings! Also, they have really good cocktail! Gin with maple whiskey is the best! The bartender was caring and friendly. Price is reasonable for me. I'd like to visit there again if I have chance.

We found this restaurant by chance and it was awesome! Even without a reservation, the host was super nice and quickly found us a spot. The service was really friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing! Pizza and duck confetti pasta were outstanding. It was a great meal from start to finish. I definitely recommend this place. Just a tip: try to book a table in advance for an even smoother experience. It’s totally worth it!

Beautiful little restaurant with amazing wood fire pizza and other dishes! We got there Saturday evening on a busy night. Our duck wing appetizer came in really quickly but our main course took at least 45 minutes. We were pretty annoyed to see other tables around receiving their meals before us when we were seated before them. However, the quality of the food that arrived made up completely forget that. Our beef tartar and Quebec Wagyu wood fire pizza were amazing.

Our family had a great night out dining at Q de Sac and then walking around the beautiful surrounding area. The ambience and service were great. I ordered the beef tartar as a meal and it was to die for!! My husband ordered the beef cheeks, which were cooked to perfection. We topped off our meal with their famous veal broth wood fired onion soup and two nitro stouts. Highly recommend!

The waygu pizza was delicious. For drinks, try a Bloody Mary or maple whiskey on ice. Everyone was very polite and gave great recommendations for things to do near by. If you like their Facebook page you get to see their like counter above the tv go up, which was very fun to see.

Lovely pepperoni pizza, amazing fast and friendly service and brilliant staff. Even at 7.30pm on a Wednesday night it was buzzing and the staff were running around to keep everyone happy and served. A great place tucked away in a lovely corner below Fontenac and Dufferin

Don't think about it, just go! The onion soup was amazing and the poutine with foie gras was really, really good! Everything is homemade and the onion soup, the nachos and pizza are made over wood fire. They only use local products!

This is really great place to just unwind and grab a relaxing dinner after walking around Old Quebec. The ambience is totally out of this world... and European! We ordered three pizzas, pepperoni, white(mushroom and arugula) and chicken. Thanks to good taste and our own hunger, the five of us polished off all three pizzas. The pub has very friendly bi-lingual staff making the whole experience even more wholesome!

Love their ambiance - casual & relaxing vibe with a wood burning stove in their small dining area. You can see how they cooked the pizza and French onion soups (the best in town) in the wood burning oven. Beside the French onion soups, the duck wings and braised beef cheeks were amazing

Loved this place! And our bar tender Miriam. We shut this place down. The soup was as good as they said it was and the pizza was near perfect. This will be the first place i come back to in Québec City

Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub is a gem that truly stands out in the culinary scene. The warm ambiance combined with impeccable service makes it a go-to spot for those seeking a delightful dining experience. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness create an inviting atmosphere that elevates the overall dining experience. One notable aspect that sets Q-de-Sac apart is its commitment to providing excellent service at moderate prices. Despite the reasonable cost, there's no compromise on quality. The waitstaff is not only efficient but also genuinely friendly, ensuring patrons feel welcome from the moment they step through the door. Now, let's talk about their culinary delights. The onion soup at Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub is nothing short of extraordinary. Bursting with rich flavors, the soup strikes the perfect balance between savory and sweet, leaving taste buds yearning for more. The aromatic blend of caramelized onions and hearty broth is a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. Equally impressive is their white pizza, a culinary masterpiece that showcases the perfect harmony of flavors and textures. The crust, golden and crisp, serves as the ideal canvas for a symphony of creamy white sauce, premium cheeses, and carefully selected toppings. Each bite is a journey through a palate-pleasing medley of tastes that lingers long after the meal concludes. In summary, Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub is a haven for those seeking top-notch service, delectable cuisine, and a wallet-friendly experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, the charm of Q-de-Sac is bound to leave a lasting impression, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike.

Service was good despite busy crowd. Had the duck wings with maple and soy sauce glaze. That was a great start. Had the tartare de Boeuf and poutine. Good portion size. The rhum punch and jasmine lime wheat beer was good. Happy hour is from 4-6 everyday. Overall a great experience. If only the umbrellas were up at the time for a good additional ambience. Indoor and outdoor seating. Sports on TV. The chateau Frontenac is a great picture opp right above the restaurant.

Best onion soup ever! Great service, cozy ambience, good beer. Pepperoni pizza was really good. I’ll be back. Great choice in centre vile.

This place has a proper European cafe experience. The beer was good! We had the small order of poutine and the corn risotto and liked them both.

Delicious! We stopped by for a light lunch and drink. The sour beer was delicious! Cider was also good. We sat outside and enjoyed Duck Wings and French Onion Soup. We happened to be in town during a bid bicycle race and even watched that from our table!

Highlight for me was the creme Bruder at the end of the meal. I appreciated how kid friendly they were. Despite being a bar. No kids menu but such nice staff who were so accommodating. Got there early and their patio was already packed. Great pizza and pasta too.

Happy hour was great! The charcuterie board excellent! Service was ok, one of the servers asked us to sit and after another server came rushing us out of the table until the first server told him it was ok. The resto is perfectly located in the busy street!

The place is in prime tourist area (right underneath the umbrellas in the umbrella alley.) The duck wings (both maple and buffalo flavors) were AMAZING. The Beef Tartare was very good but next time I will go with the appetizer portion instead. The stout and the blonde drafts were also VERY enjoyable. We enjoyed the food and the nice service. A little oasis in middle of what could have been a tourist trap. Highly recommended!

Delightful Italian Resto bar with quality food and drinks. Great options for people with vegetarian requirements and some amazing non alcoholic drinks are offered as well. Highly recommended as it is on a scenic Rue Champlain street with a cozy decor.

French onion soup was not bad. Really cheesy and lots of bread so quite filling. Duck wings are interesting, all drummettes and cooked well. Soft and falls off the bone and big portion.

Preview the menu before you come and order as soon as your server arrives. Despite doing this, it took more than an hour for our food to come. The table beside us had an even longer wait for their food. I wasn’t impressed by their dishes. But the location was nice. When the server was speaking to us, she took off her mask which was not appreciated during COVID. The good: The duck wings were decent (we tried both the Buffalo and maple syrup wings). Our favourite dish of the night was the joue de boef. The mushroom and corn risotto was delicious and the beef was tender. The bad: I would not re-order the salmon tartare; incredibly bland, and such greasy fries do not pair well with a delicate fish. The white pizza was also a disappointment. I did appreciate the truffle aroma, but the pizza itself was very dry. I’ve had far superior white pizzas. The poutine was also nothing special and it seems gimmicky to put foie gras on top. Not worth the price.

This restaurant is located at a very nice historic setting in the old downtown Quebec City close to the umbrella street. The restaurant is always busy due to its location and provides great options for food and drinks. My husband and I really loved our evening having beers and pasta. The place was really cosy with outdoor fire lamps which I loved. Highly recommended place!!

AMAZING duck wings, and the Wagyu Beef pizza was incredible. This place is a must stop when you are in Old QC. Even if it's just a quick stop in for the pizza and duck wings you won't regret it. The staff are few friendly, and speak English and French. The store was very clean, and they are offering both indoor and outdoor dining. Eat here, I promise you won't regret it.

Amazing atmosphere especially during the nice weather! Great food I recommend the Buffalo chicken pizza and the French onion soup (made in the fire oven)

The food was delicious. The service was fantastic. Prices were fair. I would highly recommend trying it if you're in the area. I've never had a French onion soup with so much cheese. Absolutely amazing. Also tried the beef cheek pizza and Buffalo chicken sandwich. Delicious!
