I went to this place today with my pregnant wife. Raining outside and the waiter came in a very slow pace and told us he would check if he had tables inside. Minutes later (while still raining outside) he came back to show us a table. Inside everything kind of empty and most of the table available. 10 minutes passed and no show of someone to attend us. Meanwhile we saw 2 or 3 waiters just having fun with some clients while we were still waiting. The best decision we had was to leave before ordering food. Awful experience after traveling 6 hours to this beautiful city with a starving pregnant wife.

Service was frustrating. Website and google link says it’s open until 3am, we arrive at 10pm to an almost empty bar and receive an unpleasant welcome. Short tempered service and extremely slow. They poured our drinks and left them sitting on the bar for 10 minutes while socializing with their friends. Food took almost an hour too. Half their menu was closed, only appetizers. Appetizers take almost an hour? Overall terrible experience, would not recommend to anyone

Amazing service, food was fantastic, drinks were great. Chuck our server was fast, polite, and social. We got here on Sunday and stopped everyday until Thursday, just for the service. Can’t tell you how much we enjoyed this fantastic pub. A must stop.

Waking in, he told us that we had to be out by 10pm with the kids. We figured 2 hours was enough. WRONG. We ordered. I had to ask for my food after 30 minutes. She said it wasn’t ready yet as another table blah blah blah. 10 minutes later she came with the nachos for the table AND the meals for 3 out of 7 people. They had finished their sandwiches before we got our poutines. Just don’t go, especially if your a group or have kids. If you want to have a beer and nachos- it’s your place but skip the bathroom. (Nachos are the best item on the menu) FYI- not enough an offer to remove a mere 10%.

This place is AWESOME! We are visiting from out of town and don’t speak French, but they were very accommodating and made us feel comfortable. The food was amazing, the beer on tap was delicious, and the atmosphere was top notch! Highly recommend.

Dirty Martini- top notch. We sat at the bar and the bar tenders were amazing. We are English speaking and they were wonderful to us! We were in Quebec City for 4 nights and went twice!! Such a great atmosphere and good music too! Would definitely recommend.!

Was in town for a convention and glad we found this place the first night. My group and I went every night. The service was amazing and the music was great. One of the nights was a private event for us and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we all had a good time.

Terrible experience. The place looked great, so my family and I were excited to go on our first night in Quebec City, even though it was raining. We were really disappointed with the service. The staff left us waiting in the rain to check availability, but took their time talking with what appeared to be some regular clients. When we finally got inside, we were surprised to see most tables were unoccupied. Our waiter was extremely rude, and it was hard getting his attention to order when we shouldn’t even had to do that in the first place. Won’t be returning.

The poutine came out questionably fast, in a paper tray and was luke-warm, which is never a good sign. Much like you would get from a small hockey arena served by a teenager. It didn’t make us sick, but was a source of indigestion for a day and a half. Music was also a bit too loud. It's not that you can't play loud music, but you can't have a speaker right above a table. It's about speaker placement, there are ways to do this without sacrificing perceived volume. Wouldn't visit again, seems like a younger person's pre-nightclub destination.

I really like this place and the food. The food was perfect. I will go there next time when traveling to Quebec City. Recommended this place.

Waiter didn’t know English very well and messed up the order. Brought Pepsi instead of coke without asking and also changed one dish without letting us know. The card machine didn’t work for any of our cards and waiter complaint about the tip. Not a good experience.

It was SO awesome!! Such a nice and atmospheric place and the barman and the waitress were extremely sweet and caring and the barman even made us really good sandwiches after the kitchen closed. Would come back again if I lived in Quebec.

Earlier tonight, I took my friend who doesn’t speak French to the restaurant. I spoke English to the host so my friend could understand and was replied to in French which is totally fine… until the host and other staff started making fun of us in French (which I speak). They were rude and it made me so uncomfortable I told my friend we shouldn’t take a seat. This was a 0/10 experience. I can’t believe how poorly we were treated.

30mins to get a beer on tap. Our drinks were sitting on the counter while the staff was busy hanging out with their friends. 1 hour to get our appetizers. When we finally got them, they were lukewarm. Asked for water several times. Never got them. How on earth is this place 5 stars?

Nice bar and atmosphere, the staff are very nice. Their grilled cheeses are good and served until 3:00 AM. I highly recommend this place and I'll return there for sure!

This pub quickly became a favorite spot for us in Quebec City. We've visited twice and returned for the consistently great service, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere, and enjoyable music. I recommend trying their special grilled cheese sandwich (Grilled cheese de la Taverne) and their POUTIN AU JAMBON (pork poutine).

Best place in town with great music and amazing vibes. Can we talk about their distinguished style and ambiance? Drinks are amazing and the service was super fast. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city for the first time!!!!

Best bitterballen I've had outside Amsterdam. The beers tried ( 3 diff tried) were of high quality also! Well worth a second visit.

Great service the only place it seemed in Grande Allee or rest of Quebec City bar McDonalds of course where you can eat a burger for around 12 dollars as everywhere else was 15 plus. Reasonably priced beer and a good atmosphere.

They have some very good poutine.

Long list of liqueurs and other drink choices. Our server was fantastic, we really enjoyed the afternoon at this spot. Would absolutely go back again!

Amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. My partner and I went here for the first time during a vacation this weekend to Quebec City. We reserved online before hand through Google (very convenient!). We had the blonde beer that was on special promotion with a shot of jager- great combo! The Mac n cheese bites and meatballs were awesome. And the nachos were delicious as well. Highly recommended this place if you’re looking for good food and drinks with a lively, upbeat atmosphere! :)

Great food! Wings and poutine are to die for. Definitely would recommend eating here on a night out with friends. Friendly staff, kitchen a bit slow as it gets closer to 11 but that's expected.

Atmosphere was good, and place was pretty busy for a Saturday night. Drink selection was very well established, but don't expect anything fancy of the food. Especially the nachos! I'd call it more "pub grub". For a bar, it works as expected.

Ok best time. Got to play the jute box. Had an awesome server. They let us dance. I think the owner or manager was there. You have great staff. Loved it

We stopped in for dinner. The waitress was grumpy, our order was wrong at the beginning. Not a huge deal people Make mistakes. Another person delivered our food which was very nice person. The double burger was a frozen patty that was grey in colour and didn’t seem to be cooked. Poutine was mediocre and half cold. The waitress never came back only to deliver a bill. This place would maybe be good for a drink if the Riesling didn’t taste like pure rubbing alcohol. I do not recommend and won’t be returning.
