Perfect brunch spot from top to bottom. The shepherd's pie is very tasty and the whole plate is a perfect match. Honestly just order the entire set because it's great value for money! The staff is very friendly too.

Breakfast foods cooked by order, not a BUFFET in American sense. Tucked in a strip mall with large sidewalk in a super gentrified neighborhood of downtown Quebec City. Price is on expensive end of breafast food style, depends on the dish. We ordered 4 unique dished that called for traditional Quebec/French flavors (see pictures) Taste is humble and comfort. The patê piece is good, onion soup is on the sweet side. Mashed potatoes tasted more like from the box, so i recommend order french fried instead, they are much fresher. Food took really long time to come. Staff were accomodating and are bilingual. The cashier lady was rude, literally grabbed my ticket, punched in amount and gave me the machine to peep my card on, NO eye contacts, NO hello/bonjour or merci at all, despite my effort in interacting and appreciating their service. From this place's reviews in the past, it might be because I'm Asian with a neutral French accent. Demographics on that visit day: Mainly tourists from North American and European countries.

Came here for Friday brunch and it was filled with people: there was a line outside the door. We waiting 20 minutes before we sat down. However the service at the table was really slow. They were slow to take our food order and took an extra 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The food was good, but nothing to brag about. The highlight of our meal was the homemade strawberry jam. This place is also full of tourists. We got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and Le gourmet dish (crepe and sausage). The potatoes were pretty tasty. Overall this place was good but probably won’t come back again.

Best breakfast/brunch in QC so far (I’ve been here six weeks and have tried dozens of places). You know the place is good when locals come here. And they do. Delicious food. Good prices. Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared. Terrific service. Food arrived quickly. Reasonably priced. Quirky interior. Outside cafe space, too. [Note: I can now recommend the lunch and dinner menu: classics (Québécois meat pie and beans, Shepherd’s Pie, burgers, etc.). Just noticed their selection of desserts, too. Yummmm.]

Absolutely love this place but there’s always a line up. Everything was so delicious and I wish this was in Toronto! Their strawberry jam is to die for(they charge extra for it but it’s totally worth it). Their bottomless coffee was also good !

We had to wait to get in but it was worth the wait. The first thing you will notice is the service, everyone was smiling happy to help and love what they are doing. Very cute waitress will bomb your selfies and make you laugh. The food was amazing and the prices are reasonable. The coffee bowl was very fun. It is an experience and not just a meal. I really like everything and would go back . Go try and you won’t be disappointed.

Cute 2 stories open floor setting. Food was good. Good for breakfast & lunch. French onion soup.. 3,5/5, Poutine 3/5. Others were above 4! I've had better french onion soup and poutine elsewhere that were so much better, so i thought i had too high of an expectation. But don't let this be the negative factor. Staff were great and kind. Food was overall great

Great authentic food. Diner atmosphere. The smoked meat poutine and eggs Benedict are both recommended. Don't miss the Pounding Chomfore ( cake in a maple sauce and ice cream) Be aware, this is in the lower city and is quite an uphill hike to the castle after eating

Wow wow wow! Great delicious food. We tried only the Québécois dishes and they were all amazing. Don’t miss the dessert pouding chômeur. Words cannot describe how delicious it was! And the team is so friendly. Feels like a true local place with great value for money!

I visited this restaurant every time I come to Quebec City. It’s a petite restaurant with several booth seats and has a second level with several more tables. I had brunch and the portion and taste are great. Lots of menu choices to choose from and prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!!

It was a bit of a wait, but it came highly recommended for cheap québécoise food. And it was well worth it! We got L'Assiette Québécoise, Le Cîpaille, and Pudding Chômeur and it was made quickly and absolutely delicious. Waitresses all spoke English as well.

We were looking for breakfast, and this place had high ratings. I can see why. The food was amazing and very filling. Although it was VERY busy, all the staff were polite and cheerful. There was always a queue outside, which just goes to show how good the cafe is. We didn't have to wait long though. Highly reccommended

Great place to eat outdoors. Tried the fish and chips and salsa the meat balls spaghetti. Both good portions and worth the price. The place gets pretty full so be prepared to wait in line. But we were seated withing 15 mins. Not long to wait. Waiters all very friendly and could speak English.

First and foremost, the atmosphere of having the front bar overlook the cooks is super cool. I got the homemade meat pie. The dish and sides were great! Back in the US, whenever you get a salad it tends to have bitter notes to it. They must source good ingredients here, because I didn't get that. The salad I had today was perfect, along with the other veggies. Everything was seasoned pretty well. I've never had a meat pie before, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The meat pie had some really nice flavor, but a small bit of it seemed a little bland. I'd give 4.9 stars if I could, it's still amazing and you should definitely give them a visit!

We were looking for an outdoor patio to enjoy breakfast. Weather was great so we walked from Hotel Pur to L'Antiquaire. (10 min. walk) Seated outside, we ordered coffee and I ordered the "Special Antiquaire", that included meat pie, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, beans ...the works. Great atmosphere on the outdoor patio. Servers were attentive, coffee hot, all in all, a great experience.

Buffet d’Antiquaire was recommended to us as a more affordable lunch option in Old Quebec. Clearly word is out as they are always busy. We shared an order of unremarkable fish & chips but enjoyed the accompanying salad and fries. Great location for people watching.

A short wait, but worth it. The servers and cooks here make you feel like you’re eating at home. The vibe here is a cozy glow. The food is like home cooking. I had a wonderful cheeseburger with fries and a coke, and it was just perfection. Our party also enjoyed poutine, fish and chips, and a yummy tomato bisque. All served hot and with great appeal. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is No.1 Canada restaurant I've eaten. I visited there around 3 PM and ordered egg benedict and tourtière. They gave a cup of water soon, and then gave food fast. Egg benedict was awesome, best! Even salad and potatoes were nice! The meat pie was nice try, too. I want to come here again with my friends and family. Happy moment. I enjoyed very well.

A must!!! Great atmosphere. The short wait was well worth it. There homemade bread and caramel sauce...perfection. I'm so satisfied 😌 So good.

Recommended for budget travellers who like good food. The quality of food is very good, quite big portions. The waitresses are very friendly. There are a few dishes in very good prices as it's generally expensive to eat out in Quebec. The atmosphere inside is nice, it's quite crowded and busy but this is because the quality of food is very good compared to price. You can have burger with small salad and quite big portion of fries for less than 12 cad. The desserts also look nice.

Excellent service! The staff was very attentive and friendly! The price is affordable and there’s a big variety of food. We ordered sandwiches and poutine. The food was delicious and the portions were enough. I highly recommend this place :)

I saw a long line during lunch time and decided to check out this tourist trap. It's rather similar to many regular diners in New England -the place smells smoky and greasy. I did have a chance to try out a couple of Quebec fare, which makes this an overall great experience.

Very busy place. Food and service were great, so fast too even with a lineup. Awesome breakfast! Loved the home made bread, strawberry jam, and caramel sauce.

Had heard a lot about this place and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. This place serves an all day breakfast menu and is open until 5pm. Tried the brunch special and the chicken hot dog sandwich. Both tasted fantastic and the portions were well sized too. Don't forget to try their home made strawberry jam 😋

Our google search showed this restaurant as the closest to our hotel and so we went for breakfast. It was very busy eventhough it was still early in the morning. We had a scrumptious breakfast and Kathie was very friendly and gave good recommendations. We loved their caramel and strawberry jams so much that we ordered a bottles to take home. Great restaurant, highly recommended!

In a chilly autumn morning, my partner and I lined up outside this lovely restaurant highlighted as a go to spot for Québécois brunch. After waiting for about 40 minutes, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who lead us inside and seated us on the second floor balcony area. Due to Covid, there were partitions between each table which made the already small space even more cramped but somehow if had a nice secluded brunch vibe. In terms of food, it was very traditional, nothing surprisingly good, nothing surprisingly bad either. I liked the beans and the meat pie the most. Consistent quality, no hit or miss. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

This small restaurant was so good that my wife and i came here two days in a row for breakfast. This is one of the few spots that open early so we were able to get early breakfast at around 7 am. The street in the front seems to be going through construction so it might get loud during the day. There seems to be plenty of space around 7 am but it is a pretty small spot and i think it would get crowded post 8 am weekends. Got a bit of diner vibe with open kitchen that you can loom at. Friendly service and the food is great. We enjoyed the egg benedict and crepe breakfast which are the main dishes. Omellet was good but club sandwich chicken was bit dry for my taste. I would strongly recommend it for early breakfast spot for anyone visiting old quebec.

Okay, breakfast here is the real deal. The quality of the ingredients is incredible, everything tastes fresh. Portions are huge and you get unlimited coffee (a very good one!) to your breakfast. I don’t think there is a better place for breakfast in Quebec City than this one. Also, waiters are very polite.

It's a must try when you come to Quebec. There was a line up when we came in the weekend but it moved quickly. I tried the Le Gourmet with meat pie on the side. My husband had the club sandwiches. The food was delicious with great portion.

The place is very good authentic and welcoming. Food was amazing and perfect in taste. Server was very energetic and enthusiastic. They have this amazing strawberry and caramel homemade jam. These 2 jams r must try items. Eating at this place made our day. Must visit place in quebec downtown for food.

Food are excellent, staff are so attentive and accommodating. They serve your brunch with homemade potato instead of frozen ones. This is the exact thing that I love. Also, your coffee mug keeps refilling time by time by the waiter. I really recommend it for brunches and breakfasts.

Great breakfast. Crepes were great and delicious. Service was friendly and quick. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day! Tip: Please note that they do charge for add ons such as maple syrup $4 each or fresh jam $2-3. You can save some money if don't really need it.

Not sure if you can any better place to have your brunch/breakfast. The quality of ingredients is great, and they are definitely fresh. They really know their jobs and as I heard their frequent customers, their menu hasn't changed during last 10 years. So, they really know what they do and they are great at that. They offer a complete list of options with free coffee served with it.

This is one of the best restaurants on the top of my list. No matter how many times I visit Quebec, this is my go-to restaurant for every visit. One of my favourite dishes is no longer available, however, everything on the menu is just as great. I will save my words so you can come explore what they offer.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. The staff (Louise especially) really made our visit to Quebec worth while. Best service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. The food is amazing too! Great taste and good prices. We are from Ontario and don’t speak French. So we’ve always been anxious about dining in but this restaurant has made us so comfortable and welcomed. Will definitely recommend to anyone and will come back to Quebec just meet Louise again and eat their delicious food!
