Honestly surprised on how much we enjoyed our visit here. Only 3 minutes drive from our hotel. Plenty of free parking. Be sure to wear snow pants during the winter season or dress accordingly for cold weather as there are outdoor trails leading you to the seals, walruses, polar bear, artic foxes, owls etc. There were quite a few displays under construction in the indoor displays but that will allow us to see more on our next visit. Awesome place to visit and learn with the family. We'd like to return in the summer and see what they have to offer.

75$ for a family of 5. Prices couldn’t be any better. We came and really enjoyed ourselves. Did the whole place in about 1.5 hours. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here if weather is nice. There are pic nic tables everywhere and a great park for kids to play in!

The aquarium is a neat place to visit, especially if you like jellyfish. Visited in October which is off-season so not all the shows were visible. The price is a little high but I'm okay with that knowing it's going to animal conservation. Great way to burn a couple of hours.

Lovely experience with your family and kids! You get see different variety of creatures all under one roof. You can also immerse yourself in the 4D Experience In the multimedia room, which combines the high-definition excitement of a 3D film with thrilling sensory effects! Apart from sea creatures you will meet polar beer and arctic fox like animals too!

We visited the aquarium on a rainy day and really enjoyed the almost 3 hours we spent inside. The layout of the outdoor park is beautiful and clean and there is also an outdoor play area for young kids. The trails lead to the seals and walrus area which are fun to watch. They also have displays for owls, arctic fox and polar bears. The inside displays are also great but they don't have as much variety of aquatic life as compared to other aquariums we've been to in the past. The touch tanks are great, you can touch and interact with different species of starfish and stingrays which is a wonderful experience specially for young kids. The main tank and the tunnel is small compared to other aquariums which is probably why they don't have any sharks or larger species of fish in the main display. Overall a very fun place to visit and highly recommended for families.

Worth every minute. Reserve online, show up at your time, show your vaccine passport and enjoy the visit. Great overall setup with one direction through the exhibits. Lots to see and learn for all ages. Our Daughter and us thoroughly enjoyed the visit and everything there is to learn.

Beautiful place, it was very close to the hotel area. Prices are ok, it was a day with little rain, and we were able to enjoy the visit. Is completely Worth it! They have a beautiful garden and variety of options to eat there.

Nice place to visit with kids all ages. There are elevators and a breastfeeding place. Some spots to dine or snack, with a restaurant. Some animals are outside so make sure you are appropriately dressed. Just a head up that some rooms are really dark.

Try to book your visit as early as possible. We came at 9 and already line up for admission. Park is not big but enough for a family to spend a day. Staff did great job to control the traffic. (They count people in and out) Mask up and enjoy:)

This place is worth visiting if you are in Quebec. Please don’t compare it with Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto as both offer different experience other than exhibits. Here, you also have a splash pad, play park and open air picnic spots. I saw some rare species of jelly fish and other fish. The tickets are cheaper if you buy for a family (family tickets include 2 adults and kids of the same family until 17 years) The entry time to the park has to be reserved online while booking the tickets. Don’t forget to buy your tickets at least 4 days in advance otherwise you won’t be able to get the tickets for your desired date.

A really nice aquarium that has a nice mix of animals that all seem to be treated really well. The place offers nice indoor and outdoor areas and the polar bears are worth the visit alone. The main issues I had were that the restaurant was using plastic forks, hopefully this was just temporary due to Covid-19, I find these museums should be environmentally friendly as can be as they tend to show how animals should be treated with respect and care, which would extend to the environment as well. Secondly, the gift shop did not seem to support any local production. I find a big variance with museums, some really try to offer original, local items while others offer more generic stuff you can just by anywhere. Still overall we had an excellent time, just no souvenir to bring home.

Didn't have the best experience ever as the place isn't meant to accommodate lots of visitors at the same time. They let you in in batches of 40-50 people and we all end up clogging the things to see inside..It's definitely a family oriented attraction but the price you pay isn't worth the experience: dirty glasses, sad personnel, small spots where the fish can swim, no shows...I don't know, it wasn't thrilling and it lacked the 'wow' effect...I'm not an expert in aquariums but I'm sure they can do better than that..there are also two polar bears in the outdoor cage which I don't really know how they fit with the theme of an acquarium..in a nutshell: 25$ down the drain. Won't go back.

Today I visited the Aquarium of Québec. there are very interesting animals but the state of the aquarium is without a doubt the worst of all the ones I have visited. I want to highlight the people who work there with very good energy. The main problem is maintenance. dirty glass, scratched, poor hygiene. a very mediocre design, they have not even replaced posters referring to COVID where it is difficult to read the safety instructions. I find it hard to understand that the current review is almost 5 stars, you are lucky to have such a tolerant public. I will upload photos to show my arguments. I hope that things get better soon and that this aquarium is a source of pride for the beautiful city of Québec. Will have to work hard!!

It was a great learning experience with kids. They had a great time watching each exhibit. The cherry on the cake was some exciting play structure outside for the end of the visit.

We came around noon in the middle of the week. There were almost no one else which was very pleasant. Our favorite part was the deep sea creatures. We get to touch the sting rays and the starfishes. The staffs took the time to educate us about the creatures. We also saw an arctic fox and many more. The polar bear wasn't there. It took us around 2 hours to visit the whole place.

Very nice place to visit. Only place near Montreal where you can see polar bears. It is my favorite place in Québec City because the old Québec is always too crowded, and this fact takes a big chunk of all its joy. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are an animal lover or if you have children. Go to check it out, you won't regret it.

Fun visit in mid of winter to the aquarium. Good exhibits around fresh and salt water species. The jellyfish exhibit is amazing. Nice to be outside in the snow and see the polar bears play and seals swim.

An amazing place to spend half a day watching gorgeous aquatic animals. I loved the polar bears, seals, walruses, arctic foxes, jellyfish fish, etc. I think I loved them all 🤣 There’s two buildings with sea creatures along with outside pools where you can see other animals which live in or by the water. Wonderful adventure.

We had a wonderful experience bringing our son here. The layout is nicely planned out making it easy to see everything there is to offer. The jellyfish tanks stood out as the most exceptional sight and we ended up learning a lot about them as well. Some of the enclosures are way too small for the animals which was sad to see but if that doesn't bother you you'll enjoy coming here.

Highly recommend this aquarium. $25 per person is so much cheaper than the one in Toronto and twice as big. Lots of fun activities for the kids. Only criticism is that please drive there instead of public transit. Taking the bus requires another 15 minutes walking on roads that leads to the bike lane, highway and no passenger paths. I was really worry the whole time pushing my son in his stroller. Not sure why the organization is so poor and they expect everyone would drive there…

A nice little day activity with the family. The outdoor exhibits and the fish aquarium were nice to see, but the jellyfish exhibit was the highlight of our visit! Make sure to buy your tickets in advance, or show up early as they can run out / stop selling tickets mid-afternoon!

Nice Aquarium! The under the sea exhibit was really beautiful. Once pass the features, there are nice parks for kids to play in. Including a spray park. Only complaint was not food was being served early and the line up for the washrooms was longs.

Loved seeing seals, walrus, polar bears and an arctic fox. The kids loved the adventure playgrounds. I have never seen so many different jellyfish or seahorse species in one place. The tunnel was shorter than most other aquariums but the other animals made up for it. Well priced entry too. Cute gift shop on the way out that is very reasonably priced. There are a few talks to watch too however we found there was someone stood talking about the walrus and polar bears all the time so if yiu miss them you still get a lot of info. Splash pad too but we purposefully avoided it as we had no spare clothes or swimsuit. There are games dotted around to help keep kids entertained. Also some lovely and impreasive sand sculptures. Would definitely visit again.

Awesome aquarium! Lots to see. Partially indoors and outdoors. Saw lunch demo of seals being fed which our toddler enjoyed. Lots of variety of fish. A couple different areas where you can interact / touch sea animals. Highly recommend if you have kids. Lots of outdoor area to play, eat, relax.

The polar bear exhibit was really good. The remaining ones were a bit disappointing in my view. Since we didn't have a car, it was a horrible experience reaching the aquarium from the Des Hotels transit stop. There was no sidewalk and we had to walk along a major road with fast moving cars and very little shoulder. We felt pretty unsafe at times.

This was by far the best aquarium I have ever been to. It was not crowded. Our kids were able to stay at whatever exhibit they wanted for as long as they wanted without feeling rushed or pushed. It was suchhhh a beautiful experience. There are 2 exhibits where you can touch sea creatures; the starfish and stingrays. Both absolutely stunning experiences for our kids. They loved it

This aquarium is very large and has lots of variety of fish and water creatures to look at and explore. The seals were active during our visit as well as the rays. They have a polar bear exhibit but they were fast asleep. The aquarium is a little tight for a large amount of people but the windows are large and well lit. All in all a great outing with the family and good way to kill 2h.

Love the polar bears! A must visit for kids and adults alike. The aquarium itself is fun for kids with two touch ponds. Best to buy tickets ahead of time. The price is reasonable for 2-3 hours of fun.

Visiting from the United States and my 7 year old son lives marine life. He had a great time here and so did we. The place itself is very clean and well maintained - the bathrooms were sparklingly clean despite the high foot traffic. However, I believe part of that is the culture of the visitors who were very respectful unlike the public places we usually see in New York City. Although there were many exhibits, there walk between each building was not long and very nice on a hot late summer day. My son wanted to spend the entire time touching the stingrays and really enjoyed touching the starfish. He also liked the seahorse exhibits and the polar bear was a treat when the large pillar bear came right up to the glass window and swam around a bit. I've never been that close to a polar bear before (he was right next to us separated only by the window so you could see everything). There was a nice little area for kids to play with swings etc and a water park with spraying water that would've been very popular had it been much warmer. As it was, we didn't bring a change of clothing so our son didn't try it. The antarctic experience was unique although honestly I was expecting more then a simple ice box but I guess it did recreate the experience a bit although I think it's nowhere near as cold otherwise people might get frost bite. The food was a bit overpriced as usual for these places but reasonable and my son enjoyed the hot dogs and ice cream. He rated this place number one and I can only wish we had something similar closer to home.

It was fine. Kinda like when you ask your wife if she's ok and she tells you she's fine. Decent Covid19 prevention. Clean washrooms. Kind and congenial staff. The sea horse exhibit and and jellyfish were awesome.

Had a lot of fun. Only issue is the biggest building has a LOT of stairs and as someone who is disabled it's hard to do that many stairs. I wish there was a way to accommodate this minor issue.

  • 4/5 Karen M. 4 years ago on Google
Pretty good aquarium experience. The jellyfish and seahorse exhibits were amazing and absolutely worth visiting. I didn't expect that some of the exhibits would be outside though (the weather was freezing during the winter). Their polar bear exhibit was under renovation at the time of our visit (December 2019), so we didn't get to see polar bears. Their bistro cafe food is also quite decent. You can get a sandwich with 2 salad sides or soup for 12$.

  • 3/5 Anthony S. 4 years ago on Google
The aquarium here was fine. It was clean and easy to navigate. Unfortunately when we were there the polar bear exhibit was closed, which would have been amazing to see. It felt a bit on the smaller side compared to other aquariums I have been to as well. I enjoyed by time there, but I would not go back again. If you have about 3 hours to kill, it is worth the time to go. Just do not expect to be blown away. There are a ton of hands on exhibits for kids in the different buildings, so children would enjoy it much more than an adult.

The kids decided they wanted to visit the Quebec Aquarium, which was absolutely delightful. It’s easy to spend hours here wandering through all the exhibits, and we didn’t even arrive in time to watch the shows. Still, there was plenty to do including multiple touch tanks and an outdoor playground.

  • 4/5 David T. 3 years ago on Google
Great experience the kids love the place. The animals are active and the place is well maintained. My kids are big fans of the jellyfish which there are a ton there, the playground and the small water park are very nice too. Only thing is the largest building is crowded with a massive line which takes literally forever to get through I left my wife and kids to play while I did it otherwise It would have been impossible to have the kids wait patiently. But overall a gear few hours experience if you're not stressed by time.

I have been in many aquariums around the world and this one was really good but I expected more polar animals such as polar bear and others but there was not many . The garden outside was amazing with a lot of sand sculptures and colorful flowers, and nice pools for the seals. Some of the animals inside need more space and better way of displaying. Something was amazing and I really like is the teaching and the scientific purpose of every thing inside, a lot of helpful information and fun facts all around which they deserve appreciation for.

what a great day it was. been waiting to visit. the place is well maintayand the staff is friendly and helpful. easy to access, easy to park close to the entrance. many restrictions because of covid, but still well managed and easy to navigate. most of all, kids had most fun and want to go back!

The place is great and the staffs are very friendly. One of my favourite spot is the jellyfish and seahorse. All of the animal are taken good care. Ticket is easy to book through website but, it is expensive comparing to the size of the aquarium. The variety of animals is small. If you have chance to go to Toronto, i recommend the aquarium at Toronto rather than this.

Very nice aquarium with beautiful expositions and landscape. The aquarium itself isn't very big compared to others and there isn't a huge number of animals. Also the polar bear area had been under repair for a very long time without opening. Nevertheless it's a very fun experience, especially for kids. There's a variety of food options, nice picnic areas and playground.

  • 1/5 Quina G. 3 years ago on Google
Pretty disappointed with this aquarium. 1) they only let you in at the time of your tickets, which in theory makes sense, however, it created a huge line up and then once you were inside, it was crowded and no one kept 2 meter distance. They didn’t think it through to stager people. 2) it didn’t seem very clean, we saw multiple dead fish. 3) I’ve swam in pools bigger than what they keep the walruses in. It was so sad to see, they had no room to swim. 4) there was a polar bear which I have numerous issues with but seriously, why is a polar bear at an AQUARIUM? He was in such distress. I would give this place a 0 if I could, I left feeling sad for the way they treated these animals.

  • 5/5 Whiskeyjack E. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent get away for an experience like no other. I've been to quite a few aquariums, but this one out ranks all of them. I wish the polar bear exhibit was open when we were there, but now next summer during the Justin Bieber concert, we have somewhere to visit again.

  • 5/5 Kevin M. 4 years ago on Google
Nice aquarium. I've seen much better, but the exhibits here are the best they can be. Beautiful outdoor areas with nice views and well maintained landscaping. Well done exhibits for local fish. The Polar Bear display is getting expanded, so they aren't there at the moment. The kids enjoyed the Ray touching tank and the jelly fish exhibit.

My family enjoyed our visit at the Aquarium of Quebec. They've got a quite large variety of large fishes. There's even a tunnel where you will see yourself surrounded by them. Surprisingly, they also had other animals (walrus, dolphins, wolf and owles). The best part was the jelly fish exhibit. It was breathtaking. The only shortfall is that the visit in the acquarium itself felt kind of short.

An amazing place to visit mostly with children. I went to the Aquarium many times as a child and as an adult and I still love to go. There is many nice animals to see and shows. The one I prefer is the walrus show, if I'm right, Boris! Also there is a jellyfish wall! That awesome!! I'm still amazed with that place even if I'm not a child anymore!! It is a most go place!!

So much fun with little kids. More than just fishes 🐠 … 🦭🦜🐟🐙🐍🦉🦄. Free parking is always awesome. Plenty of bathrooms and a playground and splash pad 💦 for kids. Can occupy a good half day of your time if your not racing through. They have space to eat your picnic close by. 🍦 and snacks available 🥤.

Great place to visit in Quebec city. With a little patience you will have fun for sure. It was a little less entertaining with the absence of the BBQ and ice-cream areas, however, it has some fantastic views and animals. Seems they have shows too but every where was empty due to Covid. We had fun. PS there is a splash pad here so you can bring some water kits.

This place has a lot of variety to offer from aquatic to even polar bears.2 lovely big polar bears. A lot of different fish, sea horses, dolphins and the huge walrus. It's well spaced out and there are different areas you can visit. They have icecream and light snacks on-site. Parking at this location is free and is tucked away in one corner of the city. We paid 75 dollars for a family of 4 which is reasonable I thought.

Worth visiting only once. A bit expensive. The only unique species we found that we could not find in any other Zoo/aquarium were Polar Bear, Sea Dragon, Arctic fox and Walrus. May be worth visiting only for Polar Bear.

I went here for the day on a whim with a friend and it did not disappoint. We had so much fun and spent so much time looking at all the jellyfish!! I took so many nice pictures. We loved our day!!

What an amazing aquarium this is! The outdoor space is beautiful and the animals are even better! The seals and walruses were very active and we enjoyed watching them swim and play. The exhibits indoors were excellently curated, with staff who are knowledgeable. The kids enjoyed the interactive tanks with the starfish, anemones and sting rays. A great museum altogether - can be done in under 2.5 hours.

I love vision zoos and aquaria with the family - almost as good as going i to the wild itself. So some experiences on my side… admittedly the aquarium in Quebec City is worth the fee, which is reasonable. Budget two hours for the visit.

Definite worthwhile visit. Plan a bit in advance, because they are limiting the number of people because of Covid. All the exhibits were fantastically maintained, and it was a real joy to leisurely walk through. Plan for around two or three hours, and just soak it all in.

Great combo of outdoor and indoor experiences - bundle up in the wintertime for your visit, it gets chilly! Lots of interactivity possible for kids, but also just a pleasant visit for grownups.

This place was so lit. Especially if you are with kids- they would really like it. I really loved the jelly fish area… it was so sensory. Especially when they change colors. They have a good cafeteria. Its a quick visit and an amazing experience especially if the weather isn’t favourable to explore outdoor activities in Qubec.

Nice place overal but there were a couple of disappointments like the immersive aquarium... it is not a tunnel but literally 10 steps in length. Beautiful but very small. Another disappointment was the splash park ... honestly I just expected more. The ones near my neighbour hood are nicer. However the importance is that the kiddos have fun and get a chance to cool off. That being said there is a nice playground for kids to play and run around. There are also many picnic tables. An advantage it has is that in offers indoor activities and outdoor activities and sightseeing. There are scheduled shows for certain animal experiences. Also it is a lot of walking but stroller friendly.

Absolutely lovely garden and aquarium. Better than we imagined. Most aquariums are just a building you walk through and see fish. This is so much more. It has beautiful gardens, Children’s play areas, bears, fox, etc. Tickets are scheduled for time slots and they will allow you in a few minutes early and you have 4 hours to visit, though I am not sure how they know how long you were there. We spent 3 hours walking around and taking pictures and observing the animals and sights. Most of the food areas were closed & so was one of the exhibits due to the weather and time of the year. Very good place for families.

Conveniently located off the highway with ample parking. We arrived at 3:30 pm and there was only one person in front of us. It was not busy at all. We bought our tickets online. The only thing we had to do is to show the ticket office our confirmation number. It took us two hours everything. $66 +tax per family for a two hour visit isn’t too bad. The kids enjoyed it.

The Aquarium de Quebec is nowhere near as fancy as it’s Toronto equivalent but it has a charm and diversity of its own that make this a must see stop while you’re in Quebec City. There’s a wonderful mix of marine life and it’s a nice size for a few hours visit. While it’s true that some of it needs a bit of upgrading, the aquarium clearly knows this and looks like it’s working hard to improve itself. Even with this I’d still say this is a five star attraction and well worth a stop. My 8 year daughter had an absolute blast here and I too as a 45 year old man had an awesome experience!

This was a decent aquarium. Not the best but it had its charms. We enjoyed the fact that there is also outdoor walking and exhibit, so plan to not go on rainy days if you dont like to get wet. Although there were a good variety of sea creatures it did not really have WOW factor. This aquarium is going through some updates, so maybe it will be better. Another area that i felt was problematic was this aquarium is not deaigbed to be stroller friendly. Though they have an elevator its a long wait. With that said the our kids still had fun.

I was weary but went in with managed expectations. It's not Toronto's Ripley's but it also doesn't cost the same. It needs a facelift and lots of upgrading but you really can compare private funds to public. My kids still had a great time. Loved the interactive areas- stingrays and starfish. Worth a visit especially on a rainy Quebec day like we had.

Nice aquarium. My kids enjoyed it and enjoyed the pizza at the food court. The tanks were clean and the aquarium seemed very well laid out.

I was a bit disappointed with the visit as I was expecting to see a little bit more variety and bigger fish. There are some themed exhibits that allow people to touch starfish and stingrays. There's another one with colourful lights and jellyfish. There were quite a few exhibits that were empty / under construction. There's free parking available, food / drinks inside, and washrooms. You can buy tickets online or on-site.

Compared to the Vancouver Aquarium, this one is awful for the price, no decent food on site, and gift shop prices have seen inflation x10. Went to see the polar bears, and while I'm happy I saw them. It was heartbreaking to see how they lived.

The Aquarium of Quebec was so nice, we enjoyed it a lot. The major attraction of the aquarium was the jelly fish and you can touch the sting ray and they were so cuteee. If you wanna spend a quality day you can visit there !!

This place is amazing! One of my absolute favorite stops in Quebec City while I was on vacation. The jellyfish and stingrays are so cool! 🪼

Nice experience. We love the jellyfish area. They look really pretty. Since there is still snow, there is not much activity. You can only see indoor animals. We did try touching stingrays. They are really approachable. We also try touching starfishes. Make sure to bring your own food and reusable bottles to avoid extra expenses.
