Domaine de Maizerets is a lovely park, nature reserve and wetland on Boulevard Montmorency, less than 5 km from the centre of Quebec. It's well-used by locals and their families, but is not well-known by tourists. There are walking trails through the park, a maze, an interpretative centre, extensive gardens, woodlands and wetlands with an island. The historic house, Maison des Maizerets, offers toilets, equipment hire and rooms for educational and community use. Two bicycle paths pass by the park. The park is suitable for picnics and ideal for children and families. There is free parking and it is accessible by public transport. This is a very nice huge popular park about 5 minutes ride by bike from the city centre. It is the place to view birds with plenty of shade and parking.

(Translated by Google) In addition to the beauty of the floral park and the natural landscapes, there is the possibility of renting the interior spaces in the heritage buildings. The team is very professional and really attentive to the needs. (Original) En plus de la beauté du parc floral et des paysages naturels, il y a possibilité de louer les espaces intérieurs dans les bâtiments patrimoniaux. An amazing park to visit that is in walking distance from downtown. The trails are beautiful and the landscaping is very well done. There is even a hedge maze to explore! Definitely worth a visit and lots of fun to experience.

Super cute park with a lot of well situated benches under shades. Has this water fountain feature right beside the maze that seems to be a hit with children. I was there on a nice day and there were quite a few family there having a good time. There were picnic tables only yards away from the water fountains with direct sightlines. It is a bit of a walk to get there on transit. But worth it, especially because it's clearly a local's park. It was a nice escape from the insanity of the old city.

This park has everything. From the old stately manor to the botanical gardens to kids playgrounds and forest walks. I have been here for beerfests, picnics and just plain ol hiking. On my first visit I saw a classy wedding, a classic English car show and a Manga convention, all within meters of each other. There is also a pool complete with life guards to cool down after your adventure. Highly recommended.

Powerful Healthy Parc and Woods! The air is fresh and very natural, even energizing, and they welcome people very warmly there. Love it so much! I don't want to leave this place!

Really beautiful and the landscape is interactive. I loved it so much. My partner did as well. If you enjoy going for walks, this is like taking the holy grail of walks.

Love this place. A haven for mother nature in the centre of a city. Roamed this domaine for decades and I still fine myself in awe at what I see. A four season open area for birds, humains, and humans with dogs pooping, at times these dogs are not on a leash like they're supposed to be according to the regulations of the park, and it happens (not often), that you'll step on dog poop. All this aside, it's a beautiful place. Get there early, like 7AM, you'll be in bird heaven!

Usually a lovely spot but this August it looked a little bare. You can have a little relaxing walk in the woods. Usually the arboretum is blooming but not this time.

(Translated by Google) This place is very interesting in itself and I have frequented it since my youth by bike, skate or on foot. Having no car in the past, I could even get there with RTC The only thing is that he is very well known and to my liking sometimes there are really a lot of people and it becomes less relaxing (weekend or holiday) (Original) Ce lieu est en lui même très intéressant et je le fréquente depuis ma jeunesse en vélo en patin ou à pieds N’ayant pas d’automobile par le passé je pouvais même m’y rendre avec RTC La seule chose c’est qu’il est très connu et à mon goût des fois il y a vraiment beaucoup de gens et cela devient moins relaxant ( fin de semaine ou congé)

Beautiful, large park of gardens & pathways. The house itself is only for special events, there is no museum. There are many areas to sit, have a picnic or play games. The labyrinth is nice but there are small passages that have been created over the years which defeats the purpose of a maze. This could be so much nicer if the land was kept up and signage was redone. There are many weeds, debris in the creek and most signs are faded so you are unable to read them. I know all this takes money and probably volunteer work so it's nice just to have a green space in the city.

  • 4/5 Tyler D. 3 years ago on Google
Nice public park with lots of space & facility such as toilets, some soft drink & snack distributors. There's usually quite a bit of people midday but it's almost never too overcrowded. You can picnic & organize little family gathering/party & there's even a maze & a tower to observe the park from a vintage point 📷

Quebec City, Canada. One of the great places in the world! Everyone should make this destination a priority. Taking a 10 night New England/Canada Princess cruise, we spent two days here. It wasn't enough time to explore this city. Truly one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen! I plan to revisit and spend a few more days! Definitely French and very European. It is the only walled city north of Mexico! Ornate old buildings, cobblestone streets and a very walkable destination!!

Nice place to see a variety of birds and squirrels close to downtown

  • 5/5 Nat F. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice park, lot's to see and do. Best to park in the street by the entrance though as there a bit of contruction going on just inside which limits the amount of parking. There is an ice cream shop and snack bar at the entrance as well. Bring your bike if you want to get some scenic riding. The Bay of Beauport which is part of the park is a great beach for swimming and taking in some sun.

No matter with who you're going, this is the best outdoor activity in the area. - Possible to take long walk into the forest with trail even accessible for stroller and motor wheelchair - you can stay calm in the nature by sitting next to the pond, the ducks and squirrels - nice and quite big playground And more
