Rooms and services are great. The hotel is very close to the famous waterfalls. Daily buffet breakfast is above average. One minor complaint from me is that juice and coffee machine are not real. They are pretend. Coffee machines seem to use real coffee beans and grind them on the spot. They are not. They are for show and make some grinding noises when pressed for coffee. Actually they use powder coffee. Juice machines are the same too. They use concentrated juice. If too pricy to provide real ground coffee, no need to pretend. Just be open about it. After all, the cost of staying there is not that expensive.

I haven't gone there yet, but have had some disappointments already. I will update and adjust this review if things turn otherwise. On Le Dauphin's website, it is indicated that shuttles can bring you to the city center. Upon calling, I was given to know that the service wouldn't be available. This is added to the fact that out of the six items provided in the lunchbox, only two don't contain animal products, and there's no alternative at all. So, an apple and orange juice. I only hope there will be coffee (there's a Keurig machine). I am still looking forward to my stay and hope the swimming pool will be available. The place does look great from within.

Pretty good stay at the hotel. If you need a convenient place to stay not too far from site seeing and budget friendly for a family with a good breakfast, this is the hotel. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, parking is free, my husband liked being able to use the gym, kids enjoyed the pool (small and limited). Only bad thing we could say was the beds were not the most comfortable and pillows are hard as a rock but everyone has a different preference.

Good location if you plan to visit Old Quebec. But that is basically it. Service was not friendly, breakfast is not a hot buffet, but a cold box grab and go. Rooms were dirty. Lastly, hockey teams were staying in the hotel and it was very noisy.

Went there with my family during the holidays and I loved it! The staffs were super welcoming and breakfast was included (though, I’d suggest to wake up early if you want to make sure to get a lunchbox-breakfast because when we checked out, we heard a couple asking for their breakfast, but they ran out of it sadly and it was only around 9:15 AM). The family suite was super spacious, but the pillow was a bit harder than my liking, other than that it was impeccable! I would come back there again!

An easy drive to old Quebec city. The hotel is clean, has a nice boxed breakfast, comfortable bed, a nice pool where you can book a time for yourself (loved that!!), and a great coffee/juice bar. The staff was amazing, all of them. But an extra shout-out to the girl with the heart-shaped glasses (I'm sorry that I didn't get your name!) It was really nice talking with you. You made us feel right at home!

The ultimate goal when reserve a hotel room is to rest (sleep) , tenant of a Hôtel can't be responsible of the noise made by neighborhood but. There job is to design the wall and floor with best sounds proofing barrier. They desepartly fail to achieve theis goal. All other points of this beautiful Hotel is careless without sound proofing.

Honestly, no complaints. Great location, close to old Quebec, nice hotel and Jacques Cartier. Great coffee machine and juice dispenser for free available 24*7. Amazing breakfast. A lot of eateries nearby. Great mall nearby with indoor amusement park.

the was as cold as a cooler since my thermostat was blocked at 22 degrees. I understand the hotel management ream was trying to be energy savvy but not on the expenses of guests though. I stayed there for 4 nights without any housekeeping services. It seems like cutting corners is 1 of their strength.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our lack of French was not an issue. The hotel was very clean. Our room was not one of the newly renovated ones, but was still nice. Breakfast was in a box, but there were options and plenty of food. Great location as well. We did Uber to Old Quebec City, but the hotel is located near everything else.

Nice hotel, however, it needs an improvement in upgrade washroom supplies, and breakfast. I stayed in this hotel because of name I knew in different city. It surprises me it’s different hotel. The room and bed are very clean nice. I don’t like the floor colour. I will not come back here and I don’t recommend it because of very bad breakfast and washroom has nothing as soap bars or body lotion or shoes cleaner in the room. Receptionist only serve the “breakfast “ in boxes. You are enforced to choose something you don’t like. There’s no toasting bread, no eggs, no milk. I rate the service as 1 star hotel. At the end the price doesn’t match the services at all, don’t fall in $10 lower in price.

A Pleasant Stay with Friendly Staff and Convenient Location Staff: The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I checked in, they greeted me with warm smiles and ensured that all my needs were met throughout my stay. Their excellent customer service truly enhanced my experience. Breakfast: The breakfast offered at this hotel was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options available, including both hot and cold dishes. The food was fresh, tasty, and satisfying, providing a great start to each morning. The attentive staff kept the dining area clean and well-stocked at all times. Location: The hotel is conveniently located not far from downtown, making it easy to explore the city's attractions and amenities. Cleanliness: The hotel maintained a high level of cleanliness throughout. The rooms were spotless, and the common areas were always tidy. In conclusion, my experience at this hotel was overwhelmingly positive. The friendly staff, delicious breakfast, convenient location, and cleanliness were highlights of my stay.

with such price, i can't complain more. it is a very nice and clean hotel. it is next to highway but it is quite. My room give me a fresh, clean impression, the furniture style is a bit old but doesn't bother me much. The bathroom make me feel comfort to use it and I like to have hand hold shower head. It is just too bad cannot open window and there is no slipper in the room. overall i love it especially with free drink that the hotel provided, i love it

Clean and convenient hotel. Close to downtown area by car. Tim Hortons next to the property. The only downside was the breakfast boxes instead of an actual hot breakfast; I was not expecting it, because it is not described in the hotel details. I was aware of this, only after booking.

This was the third time we stayed at the hotel. Very conveniently located close to the Wendat village and downtown Quebec City. The hotel offers a complementary bus service to downtown. The rooms are large and modern. The staff is very friendly. We enjoy the boxed breakfast and complimentary juice and coffee. I would definitely stay here again. I wish they had a few other locations to stay at.

Very convenient place to vase for a couple of days in Quebec. It’s out of town but convenient to get to from the highway. Big rooms, clean, small fun pool for kids, coffee and juice station in reception. Free shuttle bus into Quebec City (9:20 and 4:50 departure to and from town hall). Various food places within walking distance.

Situated beside a 6 lane highway but there is No, Nada, None, Zip sound in the room. (Quieter than at home.) If you need "white noise" you'd have to turn on the bathroom fan but you wouldn't be able to hear that when you pulled up the covers. No a/c sounds. The temperature just changes. Beds were the best I've ever slept in and I've travelled extensively for work and leisure. Unfortunately no breakfast buffet due to post-covid staffing issues but the "box" breakfast was fine. Originally booked in Old Quebec but upon looking at (and translating with 65 year old high school French) the reservation determined it was for a single queen not two twins as requested so went on a booking website and this came up at well under 1/2 the price.

This hotels is conveniently located on the highway and only a few minutes away from all the popular destinations. Boxed breakfast to go was a nice simple touch. Walk-in shower is handy. coffee and juice machines in lobby were a nice touch

I found this place extremely amazing. It felt like, An upper class hotel. The shower was amazing. It had a crazy good shower head, great water pressure. Clean linen and towels. Also had a TV and a computer in the room. Honestly, for the price we paid, I would have paid more. It's amazing, it's a really great place to stay. Would highly recommend anyone staying there? It feels like luxury the whole time you're there. The lights, the atmosphere, the staff, it's all just great.

The rooms is nice and big but the service could be better. The breakfast was included with the room but there's only two choices and it really low quality food and poor portions. There's a gym and I used it but ounce again its the bare minimum. There is 2 machine for cardio, a cable machine wich is nice, a free bench and bumbells that goes only to 30 pounds wich is not a lot for someone that really workout regularly. The location is okay if you have a car but in my case I wanted to go in a bar and there's nothing fun close. Overall if you need a place to sleep at a good price and nothing more its perfect in my case a better breakfast would have made me appreciate a lot more the place.

I was disappointed at check in as the reception could speak little English and did not give me the accomodation that I had requested. ( I was told previously that I could have two rooms on the same floor, as I was travelling with family.) They would not arrange this so I was on the first floor whereas the rest of my party was on the fourth floor. . Reception was not friendly when I checked in. The following day a new clerk at reception was very friendly, accomodating and helpful and spoke good English. I did not care for the boxed breakfast as there was little of it I could eat. Would have preferred to have a choice for breakfast, if only toast and a hot beverage. I found the accomodation was not adequate for the price I paid for the rooms. ( One thousand dollars for two nights.) In addtion the key cards would only work for one entrance to the room and I had to keep returning to the front desk to have it recoded in order to access my room each time.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The only downside are the very limited options regarding breakfast. I don't eat dairy, eggs or meat, and so, the only available option for me was the tiny fruit salad in my boxed breakfast and an apple or orange provided by the hotel... There was a toaster, but no bread or spreads. I would have liked to at least be able to eat a toast. The room was very clean and cozy. I hate my pillow, but other than that, I have nothing else to say in terms of comfort. We could hear kids shouting in the hallway early in the morning, but it only lasted a few minutes. Don't go there for the view. I honestly don't mind, because we were there to enjoy the city. The hotel is well situated.

I recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area. The service and friendliness from the staff is exceptional. We were travelling with our dog and this was one of the few places that accept them. They not only accept them but went over and above. The had a dog bed in the room, bowls for food and water, and dog treats in the room waiting.

We stayed in this hotel during Christmas, and I can tell this was the worst stay in terms of negligent customer service and ice-cold room! We informed the front desk several times that the heating system wasn’t working and the room was very cold. They neglected us by saying they couldn’t do anything about it and offered extra sheets (not blankets haha 😅) if we wanted to feel warm. I mean it must be a joke! Anyways, they ruined our second visit to beautiful Quebec City. The food was average, there’s nothing special. To be honest, we just enjoyed croissants and fruits. All in all, I’m not recommending this hotel at all!

We stayed at the Le Dauphin for a night on 10/4/2023 after our Norwegian cruise to Québec City. We loved our spacious modern hotel room and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, too. Before we checked out, I had a very informative conversation and received great travel advice with the hotel's front desk employee, Charlotte. Especially on the sights to see on our way by car to Montréal that day. She gave us a lot of great places to see and also printed out the Google maps and directions to every place. I thoroughly appreciated her advice and thoughtfulness, and she was also very nice and enjoyable to talk to. Charlotte is a great representative of your hotel. Thanks for making our visit to Québec so enjoyable.

Loved the friendly front desk people. Friendly and always willing to accommodate. Rooms are modest but clean. Breakfast boxes were great. They had one boiled egg, an apple, an orange juice, a muffin or a banana bread and a small package of yummy cheese. Unlimited coffe or hot chocolate. Super family friendly with a laundry room. That really helped! We would definitely go again soon! The only thing that bothered us was that we could only use the pool for 30 minutes, had to make reservations ahead of time. We could only use it once per day even if nobody was using it. That did suck! But even with that we really enjoyed the place.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at your hotel! Beds we're comfortable, our room was so nice and big! It was perfect! Customer service was amazing, we were always greeted with a smile. Definitely coming back there next year! Thank you! The D'Alesio Family

This is a great little hotel. Our room with a king bed & queen murphy was large enough for our family of 2 adults & 2 teenagers. Beds were comfy & the hotel was clean & quiet. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We appreciated the coffee & juice available in the lobby. My only suggestion would be to avoid the breakfast boxes as they contain too many plastic wrapped processed foods.

We were under the impression from the hotel promotion that tickets to the local aquarium came with the room booking. Upon arrival we were told that was not so and we could add this for an extra charge. We only stayed in this area for this promotion so we were quiet disappointed. Although the staff were all super friendly and the motel was very clean and inviting. Unfortunately we had this issue, we did still enjoy our stay.

Excellent 3 nights stay here. Pool needs booking ahead but seems to be available whenever I call to booked. Breakfast takeout bag were more than enough. Free coffee , mocha, hot chocolate and juices at all time. No housekeeping for 3 or less nights stay.

It's a nice hotel deserving its budget. Good and clean rooms and bathrooms. 24 hour coffee, and juice available. A small pool is okey for kids. Hotel entrance and breakfast area should be improved. And breakfast box is OK but salty breakfast box not so bad, and also they don't have vegetarian options.

What a beautiful hotel. Great place for the family they even have board games you can borrow at the front desk. Rooms were extremely clean and the breakfast box was great for a quick breakfast. I will definitely come back on my next visit

This is a small hotel just off the highway in Quebec City. It has laminate floors to accommodate pets (I did not bring mine) was incredibly clean, and the bed was super comfy. Great option for the price range and better service than I have received at much more expensive hotels. Good job staff

The room was clean. Wifi signal was strong with good connection speed. The bathroom had hot water with strong pressure. The unlimited hot chocolate was a hit with kids! Overall, great stay. If I had to be picky, too bad they weren't serving hit breakfast, but blame COVID for that

The only reason we picked this hotel was that they were one of the few in Quebec City that permitted large dogs. While the staff were lovely and we were pleasantly surprised with them bringing us a dog bed, bowls, poop bags and treats, it did not make up for two uncomfortable nights of sleep. The bed was very firm and squeaky, and the bedding was very light. The fridge was obnoxiously loud and we had to unplug it each night. We could also hear chatter in the hallway and adjacent room. Thankfully we visited on a weekday, early in the week, I can't imagine the noise closer to the weekend. If you're planning to visit Old Quebec and can afford something closer to downtown with more comfortable bedding and better soundproofing, don't hesitate.

Overall sleep quality was ok but we all found the pillows to be inconfortable.

  • 3/5 Melissa L. 3 years ago on Google
Overall, this is a good hotel for the price. The hotel has put in COVID-19 measures and rules. Our issue is that staff on two occasions did not follow their own rules. A maintenance staff member came into the elevator (when it is posted one person or family per ride). The maintenance staff member took a phone call and pulled his mask down to speak. I spoke with the reception staff about the issue and while leaving I noticed a cleaner with her mask off walking in the common hallway. I told staff again and they came out to speak to the cleaner. As soon as the staff member was out of sight the cleaner took her mask off again. Please note that you must exit the building from side doors with steps, we have a family of four and used the cart to take out our suitcases and other bags. We were not permitted out the front door and had to go down steps. This is not set up well and I understand they are trying to re-route access, but, there is no consideration for accessibility. I'm very upset that staff members do not take the COVID-19 rules seriously and put guests at risk. Stay at your own risk.

Nice hotel. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Lots of outlets and usb ports in the room. We even had a computer on the desk! Take out boxed breakfast was good. Definitely would stay again.

Very friendly staff, super clean rooms and one of the most comfortable beds ever. Their unlimited coffee from the machine is delicious! The lunch box options also very yummy. And you can't go wrong with unlimited juice, included in your stay.

Overall it's a really nice hotel conveniently located close to the highway near two major shopping centers. On the plus side, the hotel offers breakfast boxes which have really good content. They have juice and coffee machines that accessible at any time too. An indoor pool is there for the guests to enjoy. Also, which was a first for me, their bathroom tiles were heating and they provided a computer in the room as well. The room and the hotel in general were really clean. The only downside was the sound proofing which was deficient as you could easily hear people talk in adjacent room and I could also hear a pretty loud humming noise which seemed to come from the ballast of the outside lighted sign on the hotel.

I have never, in 52 years, had bed bugs. After my 6 night stay in room 436, I have them now. I noticed the bites on my arms after my 4th day. No doubt, they are from this hotel.

We had a nice stay. very quiet hotel. I was a bit disappointed when we first got there as I was imagining being closer to the center of Quebec city (my mistake... ) but we ended up enjoying our stay there. Breakfast needs to be improved - boxed breakfast with so much waste created... We did enjoy the availability of reusable cups/glasses and juices and coffee/tea in the lobby.

  • 2/5 Joseph F. 11 months ago on Google
Pros - no bedbugs, plenty of soap/conditioner/shampoo, desk had a replacement phone charging cable on hand. Free hot and cold drinks. Cons - just about everything else! Badly located on a side of the highway that has virtually nowhere to eat. The highway was very noisy all night. The room was very dated (stayed for 2 nights on a business trip), old worn out floating floors. Bed was painfully uncomfortable and creaking. Clanging noise in wall all night I was on the very end of the hall. Bathroom had no fan, so called "heated floor" not working. Parking spots too small. No restaurant but to compensate they give you a refrigerated box of either salty or sweet food, not much in there - with these little paper vouchers that you cant lose otherwise you lose your box. Surprisingly disappointing experience for the price. One can spend 50-75$ more per night and do much better with the hotels on the other side of the highway.
