True hospitality from start to finish! $88 fish & seafood tasting menu is the city's best value for the absolute best, tastiest food and service! We added foie gras ($20) and bread with truffle butter ($2!!!!! Excellent value!) Cocktails are bespoke (customized to your flavour preferences). Even sitting right beside the kitchen, you don't/won't smell like the restaurant or cooking odour afterwards! They easily accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions by subbing a vegetarian course. Thank you to the whole team. Very deserving of the Top 100 in Canada designation!

What an experience! If you haven't been, you must go. One of the best restaurants in Canada. The vibe is sophisticated, but casual and fun at the same time. The chefs play the role of a chef, server, and sommelier. They do it all! They do a great job of explaining the food, and do a great job of pairing each course with wine. And the food! It's creative, inventive and delicious. The flavours come together perfectly. You get to choose between 2 set menus (one is a vegetarian option). I'm not vegetarian, but chose that as an option to try something different, and no way did I feel like I was missing meat! We can't wait to visit Arvi again when we're back in Quebec City.

Simply incredible. While the food was some of the best we've ever had, and the execution was flawless, I have to give praise to the outstanding service. We loved how casual our servers were, who changed throughout the night and were also the chef's, busboys, runners, dish, etc. The Team environment is worth raving about.

We had a very good experience here. The food was quite good, the service was friendly, and the space was relatively attractive. I recommend this place, with caveats. Perhaps I set my expectations too high. For the price point, everything should be flawless. My comments are not complaints, just observations to guide other diners so they know better what to expect. One thing that is more than a nitpick is that the left wall (brick) in the restaurant is lit with modern tubular lights that I found very harsh. I was facing that wall, and really regretting it. They should be turned lower significantly, or better yet, replaced with bulbs that have a much lower value on the warmth scale. (These were about 6,000K, whereas a 3,000K would be much less harsh on the eyes.) It contributes to a modern aesthetic that is too cold. The music playlist was varied, and occasionally a bit too hip-hop for my taste. This is an individual taste and not a general complaint. Most of the dishes were excellent. I would recommend the add-on of the foie dish if it is available. It was really memorable and decadent. The portion sizes are spot-on, and generally well-balanced. On the night we were there, one dish, the tuna, lacked seasoning and was visually unappealing. But the fish was perfectly cooked. It just lacked visual appeal and taste. I found the informal service manner of sitting with the patrons on the banquette, or squatting while conversing with the diners to be a bit odd. I suppose it is meant to express a casual friendly hospitality, but it didn't work for me. But "a chacun-a-son-gout" as they say. Enjoy!

Such a disappointment, even at ‘normal’ prices I’d think it was underwhelming. Literally the most expensive place I’ve been to and truly forgettable food. Excellent service though.

Arvi is a thoughtful restaurant with a unique take on fine dining. The staff all wear many hats - they each take part in being servers, sommeliers, dishwashers, and bartenders. The food was fresh, although I felt it could use some elevation to bring out the whole fine dining experience.

What a inventive and exquisite tasting menu I had at Arvi. Every course served was a delicious journey through Quebec. The menu showcases their respect for the ingredients and also how talented their staff is! I also loved the concept and the opportunity to speak with different members of the team, all of them shared an interesting aspect about the preparations and ingredients. I decided to go with the wine pairing and it was just amazing to discover how many good wines and ciders there are in the Quebec region. A place to come back many many times!

Nice service. But we didn’t enjoyed our food, the portion size of 5 courses tasting menu are small, chicken dish as a $88 menu’s main course are unacceptable, we will not return back.

ARVI highlights local products, making it ideal for tourists. Dishes were a good mix of novel combinations and more conventional dishes, the strange and the familiar, all with great technical execution. There was no separation between FOH and BOH; service was friendly and attentive even though everyone had to juggle cooking and serving. Every table had a view of the kitchen in the center of the restaurant. Pacing of the meal was slow and relaxed, around 2.5 hours for the five courses. In NYC we get politely shoved out the door after 90 minutes for a 5-course meal, so this surprised me. Overall, an excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Food quality compares to 2* Michelin in Europe. ARVI features a 5-course tasting menu. The dry-aged duck breast with smoked carrot and ginger-carrot chutney was probably the best duck preparation I’ve ever had. Tender, perfectly cooked meat supremely complemented by the sides. The riff on a Pavlova for dessert was again, among the best desserts I’ve ever had - think a super-moist, blueberry filled jelly donut encased in a maple cookie, encased in a meringue and topped with whipped cream. Just to die for! The preparations of the various dishes are creative, thoughtful and well executed. Smoke, umami and savory flavors juxtapose with both soft and crunchy textures in the various dishes. And five courses is perfect. You can go for a vegetarian track if you don’t want proteins and there are options to add oyster, mushroom or foie gras courses as you wish. The wine pairing is similarly thoughtful and well composed with several Quebec wines featured. Service is outstanding. It’s an interesting concept as everyone does everything - I saw one gal shucking oysters and 5 minutes later she was mixing a cocktail. Casual vibe with exposed brick and the staff wearing ARVI t-shirts. Price points are exceptionally reasonable so, given the food quality, the QPR (Quality-Price Ratio) is off the charts (in the diner’s favor). Honestly, one of the top restaurants in North America! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:-)

I would give 10 stars if I could! This was a truly special experience. The service was impeccable. The food was mind-blowing! Locally sourced, top-quality ingredients. Carefully crafted into masterpieces on a plate. The entire team was knowledgeable and welcoming. I hope to go back to Quebec City so I can dine at ARVI again. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates excellent food.

Such tasty food, best service we’ve had in quite sometime. Shout out to the only female chef in the house/ our favourite server. They give you all the time you need to eat and hang out. We sat in one of the tables essentially in the kitchen and watched the food prep right beside us. They even come out to say goodbye when you leave. 100% recommend. Loved it. We got the veggie 5 course menu but wish we could have included some fish dishes as we were jealous of the lobster

Just amazing. The person that serves you is the cook, the busboy, the server and the sommelier (yes, all in one person). The food is cooked next to you, it's fresh, vibrant and delicious. The wine/drinks pairings are accurate and just makes the meal come together. Can't wait to go back to Quebec City to try it again.

Being chosen as one of Canada’s top 100 restaurants. My expectations were very high and sure they did not disappoint. The service was very personal and great, the wine selection was too good and it was a great experience to eat while you look at the kitchen. The food, though it was inventive and innovative, the flavours did not add up well and it did not hit the spot. I tried the vegetarian menu but the regular menu might be the best bet.

One of the best service and food experiences we've ever had. The chef's act as the servers and were welcoming from start to finish. One of the most personable services, with a custom menu built to fit our dietary restrictions. The food was incredible both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Easily one of the best restaurants in Quebec City. Look forward to returning the next time we visit the city.

We had an incredible experience at Arvi. I would opt to give it a 4.5 / 5, but I am rounding down only because I wouldn't say it's perfect. The experience was one of the most memorable I've had at a restaurant. The chefs are young, interesting, and passionate. They explain each dish and recommended my fiance and I order one vegetarian and one meat tasting menu so we have even more variety. They also made some exquisite craft cocktails -- most notably the rhubarb gin based one! The flavours of the dishes didn't blow my mind away. I can't detail one dish that really stood out to me as a favourite, although each one was unique; which is the only reason why it's not a 5. I would highly recommend this restaurant though since the service, experience, and quality of the food was top notch.

This place was incredible in every respect. So impressed with the attention to detail and the personal care that was given throughout the evening. The interaction with the chefs/servers (one and the same) is *almost* even better than the food which is not a slight on the food whatsoever. Not many people are mentioning how wonderful the cocktails are but allow them to prepare some for you and you won't regret it. Finally, the price point for this kind of experience is very reasonable in my opinion...

The food is really good. It's an open kitchen concept and the chefs are bringing the food to your table. Loved it. !!! We took the wine pairing experience an all of them were on spot.

Sometimes when a journey to another country or city offers new experiences in culture, history and the culinary the results are similar. A visit to Old Quebec City was sensational. With AVRI Restaurant, the creative process of their epicurean presentation was unusual, deliciously unexpected, exceptional variations that delighted with every savory bite. From thinly sliced salmon lightly dressed with cucumber and a cream sauce to eggplant prepared distinctly unique to duckling tender and tasteful followed by the culmination of sweet Fall strawberries in a dessert. The 7 course offering included a summary of each dish from different personnel making this evening memorable for returning visits to Canada 🇨🇦

Excellent food and great experience , but unfortunately not amazing ... the execution is almost perfect but the service is ok ... a special mention to Cedric he his an excellent server ! The rest of the team deliver a very clinical service and lack a little bit of warm . On Google you can see some recent picture of the team wearing A mask unfortunately not of this equipment seemed at the time of our visit ...

They make you feel like you are an old great friend that is coming home for a good well crafted meal in your honor. The chefs will hang at your table talking about the plates and what's coming next. The menu is very simple in term of choices : it's mainly a "service with the products available at the moment" and they can navigate through that with your preferences, you will talk to the chefs !! In term of tastes, work and quality of the ingredients in your plates, that will be at the high level. Decoration is simple but chic. This is one of Quebec restaurants with a soul. If I have to add just one little critic, it would be that the portions could be more generous.
