This gym is overcrowded, the machines are always broken, the floors are broken and have danger tape all over them. If you put your weight on the floor it rolls away from you. They never actually poured cement for the floor, just a carpet over rocks which you can see with the holes in the carpet. You wait in line for equipment any day of the week from 13h til 2100. I'm not sure if its a gym or if its a place people go to hook up. I'm surprised I haven't found any used condoms on the floor to be honest. They oversell memberships and let you bring friends for free. Its a zoo.

I absolutely love going to this gym. It is exceptionally well-equipped, offering a wide variety of top-notch exercise machines and equipment. The recent renovation has given the gym a fresh and appealing look, making it even more inviting. It's a great place to work out and achieve your fitness goals.

This is by far the worst gym I have ever attended. Please find below details of why you should be cautious about joining World Gym. Reason 1: Customer Service is awful. Cancelling is a mess and it will cost you. I joined this gym largely because I needed a gym in that area that had a subscription with cancellation possibilities as I knew I was moving out of province soon. Thus I purchased their "flexible" option which is already more expensive to account for the cancellation possibility. At the time of purchase I was told I had to cancel the membership 30 days in advance of the time when I no longer needed the membership. Thus, 1 week ago I put in my cancellation notice (to ensure it got cancelled for when I move) where the customer service front desk informed me I would receive a call within 10 business days to discuss the cancellation details. Today I attend the gym and I am unable to access because my membership had been cancelled. This was surprising to me since I just recently got charged on my credit card for the month of August (I was charged on August 15th) so I should have access the gym for at least the remainder of the month or in the case of most gyms, until the day before the next fee charge (so September 15th). This is a complete rip off to cut off people's access to a gym before they have reached the end of their payment period. I have never had a problem with this at any other gym I've attended for shorter period of times (Maxi Fitness, YMCA, Goodlife). I also never received a call, at which point the customer service desk did not believe me and assumed "they must have left a voicemail". They did not. So be cautious of any of the the instructions they give you at all points of your interactions with customer service since it appears that you cannot trust anything they tell you. And most importantly, their misinformation will cost you $. 2. Pool Access: if you plan to use the pool, be prepared for the pool to be consistently randomly closed with no explanation. Another reason I joined this gym was because they had a pool. If you get their VIP membership (which is also included in the flexible option and will cost you more) you get access to their spa and their pool. Originally I was very happy with this option because I would go swim my laps and it was pretty empty which is not a given at most other pools I've attended. However, what I was not prepared for was the number of times I would show up during times when the schedule says the pool was open and it was randomly closed. I have gone on 5 different occasions during a 2 month period since the beginning of July and I was unable to access the pool during scheduled pool access times with no explanation. If World Gym chooses to charge people an extra fee to access the pool then it is not acceptable for a service people pay for to be consistently unavailable. 3. The equipment is old and lots of equipment is broken. COVID-19 cleanliness is questionable. Though not the biggest issue if you go at less busy times of day it adds to a possibly negative experience. This is the first gym I have ever had problems with to this extent. If you are looking for a good gym in QC (though it doesn't have a pool), I had a great experience with customer service at Maxi-Forme Fitness Gym in Downtown QC.

The gym offered us a special student discount for the summer, it would be from 1 July - 31 -August for the price of $50. We had a legally binding contract signed and they called us a week later saying we have to sign a different contract and it would be $86 instead. Even though we had a contract they said we must sign the other one and pay $36 more. The gym might be big and there is a lot of equipment but this is completely out of line.

When I tried to cancel my membership they told me noone who works at at the gym is capable of cancelling a membership, I'd have to fill out a request and they'd call me to cancel, so I did. I got tired of waiting after a week so I figured I'd try to call them and was told there was noone there who could help me and to keep waiting for them to call. The next day I went to the gym and wasn't let in because my membership had been cancelled, without them ever calling. I was only 2 weeks into the billing cycle which I'd already paid for. If you pay a month in advance, you should get your month, with the cancellation taking effect afterwards. That is always how paying per month works. Front desk staff never know how anything works, so don't bother asking them to explain/help with these things. EDIT: It has been 4 months since they replied "a member of our team will contact you shortly" to this review and I still have not been contacted. I am not surprised, since this is an anonymous review with no contact information. But I think it's worth noting when they write that as a response to negative reviews here they can't and won't follow through.

Much like all the other reviews on here I’ve had a poor experience at this gym. It is always overcrowded, not as much during the night which was fine except for the fact that it’s not open 24/7. If you work on weekends good luck getting a workout in as the gym closes at 8 pm. I got a VIP pass and so far it really doesn’t seem to be worth the extra money. Before leaving for a 2 month long trip I asked them if it were possible to put my membership on pause, the girl at the desk said that they could do it no problem but that she wasn’t trained to do that so that she would leave a note and it would get taken care of. While I was on my trip they kept charging me monthly so I called around 10 times throughout different days at various times and no one ever picked up the phone. Once I got back, I went in to explain what had been happening and they said that I had been misinformed, that it wasn’t possible to put an account on pause (had I known this I would have just canceled my membership as I had not even been a member for a full month) they told me there was nothing they could do to help me. Every time I’ve had to talk to someone at they desk it seems as though no one really knows what they’re doing and there never seems to be a manager in house. Very poor gym experience:(

Wide and good compare to the one of Beauport, Sauna and swimming pool working well. There're a lot of chances of not having access to the steam bath as you will be told it's out of service when it was working some few minutes before. Though recommended than going to World Gym of Beauport

After several attempts to cancel my coaching session, a somewhat lucid person ended up putting a note in the file 8 days after the expiration date, now he is asking me for the entire 3,600 dollars of the contract or 10%. To cancel, I was asked to show up on site three times a week I went by, there was never a manager, never anyone mandated to carry out this type of transaction, and when they finally told me call it was early January If you want to go and train with a real trainer go somewhere else than in this place where it's only money money and money that counts while they are completely at fault. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

I was overcharged for subscription fees for 6 months even though I had not signed any contract at this level. I contacted them by phone and then in person (manager). The latter would have sent an email to the superiors and informed me that it could take 1 month for the return (which I find to be a very long time for this type of complaint). Having never received any feedback after 1½ months, I relaunched World Gym, but I received no feedback and, above all, no refund. I am extremely disappointed by their lack of professionalism, by their lack of consideration regarding my complaint and the misinformation received.

They wouldn’t confirm wether they could credit for a shoulder surgery recovery I have in a month, so I couldn’t go with a full year subscription. Wouldn’t let me in for a try and wanted to charge me a full 17$ for the session. Don’t know about the quality of their equipment, but definitely not worth a lot for a first contact. Wouldn’t recommend.

I come 5-6 times a week early in the morning and I am always greeted with a good morning and a good day at the start! The gym is clean, big and lots of equipment. Certainly the availability of equipment is much more interesting in the morning than at the end of the afternoon like ALL gyms! In short, I am very satisfied to date according to my needs and my schedule. My only downside: the number of treadmills which are often stuck. So not functional. But there are so many that I always have access to one.
