Very tasty meal and great service. The Miso soup, Tempura and especially the sashimi were excellent.

Although service was quite inattentive and I had to remind of the tea and other times included in the bento box order at least twice, food is great. Sushi ordered by my wife were fresh, while bento was quite large and included piece of cod, grilled seafood, rice and salad - everything just great. For $22 you get this bento along with soup, dessert and tea, some options available. This is also the place where you are encouraged to bring own alcohol

This place has been my favourite sushi 🍣 restaurant in Québec city for the past 10 years. The forte is the price/quality ratio and the setting. The full course meals are around $25 and include soup, fried tofu, green tea, the chosen dish, dessert. You'll eat to your heart's and stomach's content. The sushi à la carte options are varied and include shark, unagi, tako, urchins along regular types of fish. The restaurant also serves platers of wicked tempura and yummy entrées such as fried oysters. The service has always been very urban and top notch, the staff is visibly dedicated. The setting is very cosy. The restaurant is owned and operated by Mr. Shimoda-san, the elements of Japanese culture present have an authentic touch. If you pay attention to the soft music, you'll notice that it's Japanese radio streaming. They used to have 🇯🇵 TV streaming too, but that was back in the days. The only drawback I see is in comparison to my favourite sushi restaurant in Montréal, which has more refined sushis and meat dishes. I strongly recommend Tokyo restaurant for a feast. Groups may want to book a quiet Japanese-style room one week or more in advance. Itadakimasu!

Awesome food, great service always with a smile. The octopus donuts, the calamari are perfect, and you cannot go wrong with the sushi, the eels taste like paradise. Must make reservations, bring your sake, be happy.

Very tasty meal, and the server was incredibly friendly and helpful. It should be noted that this establishment does not serve alcohol (a fact that all of the locals seemed to know, but I did not), but they do allow you to bring your own, so stock up before you come. Food was well prepared and the prices were very fair for sushi at dinner.

This is the best sushi in town, in my and my husband’s opinion. Excellent quality and large pieces of fish on the nigiri, reasonable prices, and delicious miso soup that somehow manages not to be too salty (how do they do that?) We’ve been coming for 10 years now, love you guys.

The food was outstanding but the service was awful. As a table of 4 they sat us quickly on a Sunday, but they didn’t return to our table for nearly 45 mins to take our orders. It then took almost an hour to get our food, and not all of it was delivered without notifying us.

My favourite Japanese restaurant hands down. Good traditional sushi too. Not American sushi with 17 ingredients on each piece. Bring a few bottles of sake and your good to go. They have separate rooms for groups with cushion seating and all the trimmings. They recently opened just in time for my birthday so they should get a couple of stars just for that but Google seems to max out at 5.

I mainly eaten sushi/makis there. You have to bring your own alchool. There's the duchesse nearby who has a nice local beers and a few wine bottles. Its not very big, there's seated places and some chabudai style tables. I think there is 2 closed doors chabudai and 1 open. The could have a little revamp in terms of paint and general maintenance. Still a really nice place I recommend. The staff is efficient and the fish are fresh!! Lets call it a good bring your own sake sushi place.
