Service was good but when the waitress served our curries her nail tip was in the bowl which set us a little back but I guess it’s kinda not her fault because bowls didn’t have handle to hold. I didn’t like the taste of malai kofta but my husband liked it. Dal makhani and other stuff was delicious.

What an absolutely awesome experience!!! From the moment we arrived we found ourselves greeted by an magnificent building. The staff are simply amazing and the food, well the food is divine. Authentic and packed with flavour. We were also pleasantly surprised with the drinks menu! Seriously do yourself a favour and book a table. You won't regret it I promise you that! - 5 stars from us!

Disappointing service. Initially pre booked over a week prior, was on time but rushed through ordering without barely reading the menu. Pressure and stress the entire time. Asked if food was ok before we even took bite & constantly interrupted. If there was a time limit no one communicated this with us. Really made the whole night a very uncomfortable, rushed and stressful experienced. No ordering extra drinks or dessert. Food was excellent as always. Experience and Service horrible. After supporting this business since it opened I don't feel like dining in anymore. I paid over $150 just to be rushed out the door and night completely ruined. ACCESS 🚫👩🏼‍🦽⚠️ Is not all abilities accessible, difficult access with low steps into the building, very crowded with furniture inside making it difficult to navigate with mobility equipment. NUERODIVERSE🚫⚠️ Noisy and aggressive service not friendly to those with diverse needs.

What a pleasure to experience this hidden gem in Ipswich, today I experienced the most authentic Indian cuisine that I’ve had the honour to enjoy here in Australia 🇦🇺 in 16 years. Congratulations on a professional restaurant, well run by a proficient young woman with great local knowledge. My only sadness is that your not close to where I live. A destination it is! Keep it up Chefs , it’s clear to feel the love & passion from the owners, it resonates in your work. A thousand thank you’s Chef Alison Garner

Thanks for the wonderful service and food from the two Ladies who served us. The atmosphere is reserved and quite so you can hear yourself talk in this beautiful heritage listed building. Attention is to detail with friendly service. Need to advertise on the website that the restaurant is licensed. Compliments to the Chef and the Staff. Thankyou The Don

It was our first day in Brisbane today as a tourist and we wanted to have authentic Indian dinner in Ipswich where we were spending the night. We passed by Memories of India and we were so impressed with the ambience and positive vibe of the restaurant that we decided to have our candle lit dinner there. We were left amazed by the food quality, taste, quantity, reasonable prices and warm service by Kajal, Kushaldeep and the whole team there made us feel home away from home :) We had their Chicken Handi, Butter Naan, Poppadom and their popular Saffron rice. Mango kulfi was cherry on the top! Highly appreciate the chef and the all women team at Memories of India❤️more power to you lovely ladies - girl power rocks🙌

Have tried three other Indian places in Ipswich and this one is by far the best we’ve had so far! Ordered through Doordash and food was still super warm and so delicious when it arrived. Will definitely be my regular from now on - thanks so much!

We are having lunch right now and I couldn’t wait to leave a review. The food is amazing and full of flavour. The portions are very generous and the staff friendly. As a bonus, the kids can draw on the paper 🙂 will definitely come back! Thanks!

Lovely food - very tasty, friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was that we were asked to leave right on closing time. Many places allow diners to finish their meals while the staff consolidate the till, clean the kitchen and dining area, etc.. Not here, unfortunately. Apart from that one disappointing aspect, everything else was really great.

We had the non veg banquet, more food than we could possibly eat, took heaps home. Quality, some of the best I didn't we've had. Service a little slow, but they were very busy, so acceptable. Well be back

We tried something new for our daughter's birthday lunch and weren't disappointed at all. Aman gave us a very competitive price for the catering and didn't compromised on quality. He was very accommodating with our requirements and helped in finalising a menu that suited our needs. He also very kindly agreed to deliver the food at a reasonable cost to the venue. Very happy with the quality and customer interaction. BIG Thumbs up.

If you're looking for the best Indian food in Ipswich, actually make that QLD go here. You will not be disappointed. Always consistent, yummy food with more than reasonable prices. Their service is unmatched too which is hard to find these days. Keep up the great work.

Beautiful authentic Indian food and good service in a lovely heritage building. Particularly enjoyed the goat curry and vegetable korma with lovely fresh nan. Excellent service, clean surroundings and professional, friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant - we will keep going back for dining in and take aways.

It seems as though they have had a change of management. Their previous service staff were excellent. They used to be professional, attentive and hospitable. The new staff are terrible. They are rude, casual, not welcoming and do not befit the good food they serve or the building they work in. Thankfully the food is great and so tasty. Although there still seems there has been a change in chef. The food is not as good as it was, still good though. It is a very large shame that the new staff are wrecking the reputation and atmosphere that was tirelessly built by the original manager and staff.

Atmosphere was really nice with the chill music, nice decorations and had some families but kids seemed respectful. We had the non-vegetarian banquet and it was amazing. A good range of dishes and a very tasty dessert. They said we could order more of any of the banquet if we wanted but we didn’t need to. We had enough leftovers for another two meals at home. We went on a Friday night and they were very well staffed. Saw they had a pretty big takeaway business going but it didn’t impact the eat-in service at all. Can’t wait to go back :)

5 stars ⭐️ all the way!!!!!! Dinner tonight(Saturday evening) From the time we arrived to the time we left was absolutely amazing… The service and staff go above and beyond to insure you have a wonderful dine in experience… The atmosphere and the aroma of the Indian cuisine upon entrance to this amazing heritage building really feels like your stepping through the doors of India… The food was divine and portion size very generous. To top it all off the best ever tasting cocktail with such lovely presentation I have ever had… Differently differently will be back… Thank you for such a memorable evening…

Had a dining today. The food was very delicious. The highlight for us was the lovely service by AMY ( I hope I pronounce it right). She was real sweet and gentle and has made sure that we were comfortable. Hats off to her and the staff. Will be back soon.

Went to celebrate Father’s Day with our 83 year old father who loves curry but doesn’t get any good ones in his nursing home. Food was absolutely beautiful, so fragrant, full of flavour and just enough spice without killing you. Service was brilliant and our host was bright bubbly and nothing was too much to ask for. Try the Banquet it will def leave you satisfied and happy. Will be back

They have the BEST butter chicken. Soooo delicious. Great lunch specials ($10 takeaway or $15 dine in), the staff are lovely and the building is beautiful. Our favourite Indian restaurant ❤️

Tried it yesterday...ordered 3 different dishes unfortunately all three were same gravy...looks like they have only one gravy receipe...multipurpose and they just mix it with meat or vegetable option..and also the prices on website are incorrect when informed the owner he says because the prices there are old...the price was updated 7 months ago and owner says thats a long time back.. I would definitely not recommend this place for food..as the taste was not nice at all ...

Ordered over the phone and was told it would be 15 minutes. I asked for it to be 30 minutes to allow time. When I got there 30 mins later I was told it would be a few minutes after I paid. And again told a few minutes 10 minutes later, and again after 20 minutes. It actually took 25 minutes for a grand total of 55 minutes to get the food ready. No apologies were offered. The food was ok. Definitely not up to the standard you will find at Krish on the Gold Coast. People that say it’s the best Indian they have had have not experienced good food. It was my first time and I will not be back.

Absolutely amazing. This is the second time i have been here, a year apart and only because i live in another state. The food is on point, the staff are amazing and the prices for the quality of the food is more than reasonable.

My sister and I got takeaway tonight and it was amazing. My husband and I have also dined in and the service, atmosphere and food were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place over any other Indian Ipswich.

Tried this place out on a whim on the way home from a hike and was blown away by the taste and quality of the food. The curries we got tasted amazing, the atmosphere of the place, set up in old hotel is cozy. Service was prompt. The vibe is unpretentious but welcoming. The food is just the best Indian I've had in Brisbane/SEQ. Will be back.

Memories of India has an extensive menu with delicious varieties of dishes. There's also plenty of choice on the drinks menu. Staff are very friendly and efficient. We think it is the best Indian restaurant in town, and often fine there or purchase from the takeaway menu.

First time ordering from here and after reading the reviews, I thought I needed to give it a go. I used the online ordering platform which was confirmed with a text message, when I arrived (after my collection time) I was told my order wasn't ready and I'd still need to wait. This is okay, but perhaps send an updated collection time via text message to customers - this would especially be handy for customers who need to get young kids ready and take them out when collecting orders. Now for the food. The reviews aren't wrong. The food is amazing. Especially the butter chicken. It has this deep smokey flavour which has permeated the protein and makes it so different from any other butter chicken you've previously had, while retaining all you love about the family favourite. We will certainly go back to try more.

You get value for your money at reasonable prices. Food was really great & the staff was very accommodating for my sister with her wheelchair & disability. Will be going again.

Amazing service, and an incredible goat curry. Highly recommend but I would say stay away from the paneer starter. Other than the started the service the drinks and the main was incredible. Highly recommend

Was fantastic, easily the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Service was attentive and polite. Would highly recommend the chicken tikka masala, the chicken had a lovely charcoal flavour. Was really happy with the range of alcoholic beverages

The best Indian I have had for ages! Great service and even better food. Would highly recommend this restaurant - just wish it was closer to home so I could come more often

Flavoursome, filling and vibrant. Our recent experience from Memories of India didn’t disappoint at all. The depths of flavours in each dish didn’t go unnoticed. The char on the chicken was beautiful, not to mention the butter chicken sauce that accompanied it. The quantity of food matched the quality in every aspect. I’d also recommend the saffron rice to match your curry as that was delicious in itself. Overall experience at Memories of India was just that, a beautiful memory and we can’t wait to make more in this iconic restaurant.
