Amazing, amazing experience staying with our hosts Andrea and Barbara (and their cat, Romeo) in their delightful home. The B&B is in the charming town of Amboise, only blocks from Chateau Amboise and nearby restaurants. The 19th century home is gorgeous and impeccably maintained and updated. The home has a beautiful entryway, foyer, and garden, as well as a well-stocked communal kitchen that guests can use. Barbara and Andrea have everywhere filled the home with their wonderful art, furniture, and decoration. Our room and private bath in the home was spacious and comfortable with windows overlooking the garden. Barbara and Andrea are unbelievable hosts. Every morning they arranged a breakfast spread of local cheeses, bread, and yogurt, fresh fruit, and a baked good of the day made that morning by Barbara (brioche, scones, and an apple tart). Andrea takes time to explain the food and where it comes from. If we were sitting in the garden with dinner or a glass of wine, they would emerge with a snack to enjoy and a conversation. Andrea is very knowledgeable of the area and offers tons of information and recommendations for your visit. Our room was always tidied while we were away, and we would find thoughtful notes or books in the room based on something we talked about with our hosts that morning. Barbara and Andrea are both warm and inviting and seem to genuinely enjoy meeting new people and sharing their home. They are lovely people with a lovely home and you should not miss staying with them if you are travelling to the Loire valley.

We loved our visit with Barbara and Andrea at La Dilecta. They have a lovely home and rooms, make a delicious breakfast (and took special consideration of my food allergies), and their recommendations for what to see and where to eat were fantastic. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to visit again soon.

La Dilecta B&B was a truly special stay. The location in Amboise is magical, the rooms/B&B grounds are very nice and extremely clean, the hosts are exceptional and the homemade breakfast was fantastic. I would stay again and highly recommend to others!!!

We recently stayed at La Dilecta for two nights. Our hosts Barbara and Andrea were attentive and gracious. Our rooms were immaculate and well appointed. The breakfasts were wonderful including freshly baked delights.

Andrea and Barbara are world class hosts. Our stay was perfect. A beautiful , cosy place with the best breakfast we could have expected. Their attention to detail is top notch. They are a wealth information and we enjoyed conversing with them on various topics. Our room was immaculate. Ten stars if it was possible.

Our stay at B&B La Dilecta was amazing. Andrea and Barbara are wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to provide recommendations on sites to visit as well as restaurants. They welcomed us warmly and I hope to return to their B&B sometime soon.

Amazing hospitality in a serene setting! We had a wonderful three-night stay at La Dilecta, enjoying our peaceful and beautiful surroundings, appreciating proximity to restaurants and sights, and basking in our hosts' hospitality and kindness. Couldn't imagine a better stay! No detail for our comfort was overlooked. The rooms are very large, comfortable, and have lovely light. The breakfasts include options for everyone... local cheese and meat, fresh fruit and yogurt, and delicious homemade pastries and jam. Advice and directions in exploring the sights and food/wine culture were excellent. The house is beautiful and has been completely renovated with all the modern amenities, including sparkling, generous bathrooms. There is a wonderful garden and sitting room we were able to enjoy as well. Our hosts are artists, so their choices in furnishings and fixtures are exquisite. We found the location to be perfect. Centrally located, but on a quiet street. The castle is nearby, as are many good restaurant/cafe options. It was easy to unload our suitcases in front of the house and to find free parking nearby. But what makes La Dilecta really special are the hosts. Barbara and Andrea want their guests to have a wonderful time, and will help them do so in any way they can. It feels as though one is staying with friends, rather than at a B&B, because one feels so genuinely cared for and looked after. They are truly remarkable, kind people and we enjoyed their company immensely. We would love to stay there again!

We had a beautiful stay at Amboise thanks to Barbara & Andrea, the owners who took care of every detail . Beautiful and peaceful, it felt even better than at home . The room was impecable and tastefully decorated . And breakfast was supreme!
