We had a great time at the resort. We upgraded to the Royal section and it was worth it. The staff were so nice. Rooms were a bit run down but from hearing about other resorts around, I think ours was fine. I liked the food. No complaints. In the Royal section you can have a la carte for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We did this most days. We tried the buffet but didnt really like it. Go on a horse and buggy ride. Ask for Mr A. Speaks good English and is so nice. I'll leave a pic of his card with his number on it in the picture section. If you plan on bringing stuff with you to give away then bring it with you on the buggy ride. Mr A took us into villages so I could give my stuff to the children. This was my first time going so I didnt know what to bring. Next time i will bring kids shoes, tools, clothes. I brought kids toothpaste and tooth brushes, kids clothes, tampons, pads, pencils, deodorant, kids tylenol. I did not leave much stuff for the staff because they do make lots of money working at the resorts because of tips. I did leave the cleaning lady some fun items like makeup.

Nice place. Good beach bar. Close to corral reef. Challenging spot for a swim to Playa Esmeralda.
