Thale Waek One of Thailand's unseen highlights, Thale Waek is situated along sedam Khwan. As the tide recedes, the sea is gradually separated by the white sand and limestone Beach that will appear to amazingly connect the two islands at low tide. Thale Waek It is a natural phenomenon that occurs when the sea level is at the lowest each day. It is like the sea has split open until it has become a white sand dune, and it connects 3 islands: Ko Kai, Ko Thap, and Ko Mo. The time that tourists have the opportunity to see Thale Waek will be a period of 5 days before and after the 15th day of the waxing moon. The tourist season is November-early May of every year. Getting there: A Hua Tong boat can be rented from the Ao Nang area, or buy a day or half-day tour package from a travel agency in Krabi, which often organises tour programmes for 4 islands on the same route: Ko Poda, Thale Waek (Ko Kai, Ko Thap, and Ko Mo), and Railay Beach. It takes about 30 minutes from Ao Nang

Amazing island! So clear water, so white sand! I could relax there all day, but with the organized tours we got only 40 minutes. There is a small restaurant also, we got some drinks, cant judge the food. Recommended if you can go there on a private boat to stay longer.

Amazing Place in Krabi ! The sand is nice, soft and clean. The atmosphere is great with nice beach and sea. The Island is nice and lovely place for you to relax for a while. Swimming here is also nice but beware of the big waves and jelly fish. If you did not book the food from boat company, there is also little food stall here selling snacks, food and drinks. The price is a bit more expensive than normal Thai price but everything is great and still acceptable for the price on far away island. You might also need to pay for the entrance fee on this Island if it is not included in the tour package.

This is one among the group of islands offered in the 7 islands tour. The beach is truly stunning with white sands and a light blue coloured water similar to the one found on the Maya bay. This location is photogenic and effortlessly produces great social media pictures. Make sure to opt for good quick dry clothes as the waves can reach pretty high up and drench you without warning.

Loved it, as part of the 4 Island Day Trip from Ao Nang Beach. This is a wonderful trip and you get to visit caves, plus go snorkeling. Highly recommend!!

I am including the place in the review of the Four Island private luxury picnic tour from Krabi. Although it was called luxury it was quite affordable. About the Islands - compared to the Phi Phi group , it was not that magical as Maya Beach and the others, but the beaches of the 4 Islands had better amenities

Came here at 7.30am with our early bird tour. Really pretty and calm vibe. Soft sandy beach and crystal water. You are able to walk from island to island if low tide

One of the beautiful spots among the famous 4 Islands! Was lucky to visit during low tide as the sands surface and connect between 2 islands. Nothing much to do here, just chill and enjoy the scenery, or swim in the sea!

Absolutely gorgeous! Intersection where you can walk between three islands (two small islands + koh kai). Beautiful endless picture spots, many beaches to choose from. Snorkeling paradise. Can find more variety of fishes and reefs at the south western hidden beach.

Beautiful beach, amazing sand, but too many people. Very hot, and nothing much if you come in the afternoon, evening, or even late morning. Nothing much there. If your not sure, then I suggest you to go somewhere, use your time in better places. Good spot to rest if you are going to Phi Phi Island.

Good beach. But there are a lot of rocks for doing swimming activities

The water is just wow you can see two colours getting mixed together. Pictures can define the place. But here we can’t stay for long if you are just visiting. The boat will only allow 20-30 mins at max so better go into water first and enjoy and then look for getting pictures. Or visiting any other places.

This place is amazing in Krabi that I ever seen before! It’s a great time if you go with your family to relax on the weekend. Thale Waek is known for the amazing phenomenon happens when there is a low tide and water level is down. it will look like there are 2 islands at high tide. Beautiful endless picture spots, many beaches to choose from. Beautiful beach, amazing sand, but too many people. Very hot, and nothing much if you come in the afternoon. Especially if the water is high and you can't cross between the two islands. The water is crystal clear and teeming with fish that will nibble your toes from the moment you step in.The sand is nice, soft and clean. The atmosphere is great with nice beach and sea. The Island is nice and lovely place for you to relax for a while. Swimming here is also nice but beware of the big waves and jelly fish.I actually suggest you to go there! It had small beautiful island, skip the weekends if you don't want to be in a big crowd.
