The
Local's
Choice:
I
just
had
vistors
from
the
US
visiting
me
here
in
Phuket
and
I
had
the
pleasure
of
joining
Rene
and
his
Sea
Fun
Divers
team
to
Phi
Phi
Island
for
the
day.
I
don't
do
a
lot
of
day
trips
here
in
Phuket
even
though
I
live
here
as
most
of
the
day
trip
boats
are
overcrowded
and
way
over
organized.
Some
of
the
more
popular
boats
take
up
to
60
divers
plus
staff!
That's
nuts!
On
Sea
Fun
they
never
take
more
than
20-25
divers,
in
our
case
last
Wednesday
we
had
less
than
10
guests
on
the
boat.
The
boat
has
an
air
conditioned
area
downstairs
plus
and
an
open
air
lounge
upstairs.
They
have
two
spacious
bathrooms
(heads)
with
holding
tanks
(that
means
they
aren't
dumping
your
waste
into
the
ocean
like
so
many
speedboats
here
do.)
The
dive
deck
is
well
organized
with
good
ascent
ladders,
there
is
both
Nitrox
and
air
available,
tank
racks
are
well
spaced
and
easy
to
use.
The
briefings
are
short
and
to
the
point
(after
all,
brief
does
mean
short,
not
an
hour
long
speech
about
nothing)
and
your
guide
will
brief
you
personally
on
the
way
out.
Boat
operations
were
safe,
the
captain
does
not
do
like
other
captains
and
drive
right
over
the
top
of
diver's
bubbles.
Even
though
there
were
less
than
five
boats
at
Bida
Nok,
one
of
the
dive
boats
from
Phi
Phi
zoomed
right
over
the
top
of
my
group
ignoring
our
bubbles.
How
this
still
goes
on
in
Thailand
just
blows
my
mind.
Sea
Fun
Divers
pull
no
such
dangerous
nonsense.
Thanks
again,
Team
Sea
Fun
and
especially
the
owner,
Rene
Ballot.
Great
day,
my
friends
had
a
marvelous
time.
