I love coming here in the spring when it’s still kinda cold, on a weekday, when there’s not a soul around, before it opens officially for the summer season. So calm and peaceful. A perfect place to just enjoy nature.

Nice sandy beach with washrooms at walking distance. Washrooms get dirty on busy days but they are cleaned at regular intervals. Campgrounds are mostly open grounds. Suggest camping to enjoy the beach without rushing to find parking spot or beach space.

Mara Provincial Park is a provincial park in Ramara, Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the northern shore of Lake Simcoe, and provides camping, boating, swimming and other recreational activities. Hi folks, before heading to this park register your vehicle In Ontarioparks.ca and get the DVP ( Daily Vehicle Permit). It costs CAD $18/ day. Entry will be denied if the parking is full. Excellent view, lots of picnic tables, restrooms are maintained and open for the seasons, I felt the people crowd is less when compare to other beaches in Ontario.

A very small provincial park, the trail is very short. The trail to the west along the creek is very beautiful, especially the tree reflections in the water. It was a little bit mudy. The beach is small in area, but nice. The water was supper clear. Plenty picnic tables, washrooms and parkings.

When I visited the first time, I was refused entry because I had not booked in advance! Did not know about advance bookings and did not like that as we had driven 2 hrs one way to get there. So we booked in advance the second time and went on a weekday( Friday). $18 per car for the full day is not bad. Beach was good, nice clean sand and clean clear water. Kiddo enjoyed making sand castles and playing in the water. The washrooms were Not too easily found and when found was dirty and stinky( that’s why the 3 stars and not 5) otherwise we loved the day trip!

We went there camping on a weekend and it's the most amazing place I've ever been! The park staff and security is always there if you need help. The beach is serene and peaceful, the views and trails are wonderful too. We did stargazing at Night and it's the best part of our trip. We'd definitely go there every summer. 😊 it was definitely quality time with our friends!!!

I give this amazing place 5 stars. A fine, big beach that's almost unique, big and wide with lots of sand, very friendly staff, the park rangers don't harass you and are very tolerant, there's lots of parking spaces and lots of tables and shades, you are allowed to BBQ away and blast music, and of course it's only 10 mins away from Casinorama!! Love this place!

We enjoyed a weekend of RV camping at this wonderful Mara park. The park staff and security were always available to assist. The beach and a small river walk trails added to the serenity of the experience. It was indeed a quality time spent with family. 😊 Situated just an hour and a half north of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), this quaint provincial park offers a peaceful camping spot. Located ten minutes south of Orillia, Ontario, along the shores of beautiful Lake Simcoe, the park has a short yet beautiful walking trail. The path along the creek, with tree reflections in the water, is particularly stunning, even if it can get a bit muddy. The clear waters of the small beach offer a refreshing experience, complemented by ample picnic tables and parking facilities. The washrooms, while old, are well-maintained and conveniently located within walking distance. Even on busy days, they are cleaned regularly. The campgrounds mostly consist of open spaces. The Lake Simcoe beach area is truly lovely, providing ample room for enjoyable family activities, including volleyball with available nets. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this charming destination.

Very nice and it wasn’t too busy. Beach small and clean. We paid $18 for the day for 3 people. It was easy to park. The washrooms are old but clean. Nowhere for showers. You can still rinse your feet before returning to your car. Signs were not obvious but the beach doesn’t allowed dogs. Only on the grass part. When the end of the day starts, omg, there were so many mosquitoes! Water was frozen. Most of the people only put there legs in but doesn’t swim. The water is clear. No much waves. So you can paddle or do kayaking. Overall, it could be nice to get there once with your family and do a bbq. If people doesn’t like the beach they can stay on the grass area with the picnic table and walk around (tiny trail). There is a playground for kids and you can tan on the beach. Ps: alcohols are prohibited. We saw people getting fines.

Beautiful beach area on Lake Simcoe. Tons of space for nice family fun. Water is great. $18 per vehicle for the day and I think there are also trails and other things to do in the surrounding area.
