👍👍 Excellent cocktail bar / lounge with great live music. Came on a Thurs. Night and there was an awesome live jazz set. Vibes are really good. Service was quick and on point. Drink was tasty. This is probably my favorite spot I found in DTLA! People often mention music, early, drinks, great, time, closing, night, vibe, people, bartender,

Here for Art Night - DTLA on Thursday, April 6th, 2023 event starts at 10PM. You are able to activate your tickets at 8PM. Something about not being able to activate your code creates some type of anticipation. I like it. Makes you feel like you got to arrive early to make sure you get your spot. Got here early an ordered a Peach 🍑 Mezcalita from Sam, the Bartender. He is very attentive and asks you what your preference is in alcohol. I also met David, Entertainment Director; whose very out going and knowledgeable about the events he has lined up. It's Thirsty Thursday time to get our drink on. The band sounds so rad. The vibes give me goosebumps. Totally worth coming early.

What a lucky find. We happened upon this place before the music began and came back for drinks and some incredible ragtime piano. It was a beautiful setting with great drinks and a really cool vibe. Highly recommended!

Unfortunate. Got to the establishment at 1:27am. Security guard tells me they did "last call," and aren’t letting anyone in. Heard and respected. Was meeting someone down here, but I respect the rules. I asked the guard "what time does the bar normally do last call. It's says 2am online is closing time, I'd just like to know for the future." Security guard: "I don't know." Me: "Is there a manager I can speak with?" (It's a Friday). Guard: "There's no manager. Unprofessional.

I was invited for a night of free comedy, but they also had live music performers. I have been here before for dancing and drinks, but this was something totally different. Everybody who performed was incredibly talented. It is definitely a hidden gym that you should check out.

Came last week for my homegirl's birthday. I had it listed on my want to go list. However, upon arriving I realized I had been here before. Although it was a different name at the time. But looks exactly the same regardless. Really dope vibe and nice ambiant atmosphere. The bartenders were very friendly and made really great cocktails. I would definitelty return, especially to try the food.

The space is perfection. Hardwood floors. High ceilings. Semicircular bar that looks awesome! Hammond B3 organ?! Wow! Add to that craft cocktails on draft .. what a vibe, went for the grand opening and can’t wait to go back.

A hidden gem in Downtown LA. We came here on a Saturday night around 9pm, which felt early as there weren't too many people. We were immediately impressed by the classy interior and staff. When we left (~10pm), more people started to pour in. For parking, you'll have to find a parking garage or lot nearby as the business does not have its own. Looking forward to returning!

Terrible service from your Rude and unprofessional female bar tender. We went Saturday night Jan 15 and the bar tender was being rude and making inappropriate comments as if she was high or something. She definitely couldn't handle the pressure of working in a bar. We had a group of about 30-45 and if it wasn't for our group your bar would of been empty never returning. I got to say the DJ was amazing and So were the other bartenders but that female bar tender needs to go. I expressed my concer to the manager not sure what he did with the information. Sad just sad.

DO NOT ORDER ANY COCKTAIL. I repeat. Don’t order a cocktail. Only beer, or shots. These cocktails are $18 and some of the worst drinks I’ve ever had to try. The music and vibe is great though. Cute place that has huge potential. Just needs a serious bar switch up.

! This place is such a 30's vibe that I thought I saw Billie Holiday's ghost !!! I wanted to go home and change clothes. I wanted some fingerwaves in my hair. I wanted a cigarette in a long cigarette holder. As soon as you set foot into this space , you are transported back in time. What cool feeling !!! I was there on a Sunday night for some Piano singing with my social media friend Anthony G. There was such an old-school energy in there you could absolutely feel it !!! Oh !!! Try the Pineapple Daiquiri !! It's Angel Blossom approved !! YUM !!! ( Drink responsibly & have fun )

Worked here for a few months as a cocktail waitress, ended up being layed off due to not enough hours/change of management. I miss it there so much. Love it. It's a pure gem

Went 3/3/2023 after dinner for a birthday celebration for my wife. We were accompanied by 5 of our friends. My wife asked the male bartender about the music choice. As we decided to leave a little man about 4ft tall comes out and approaches my wife introducing himself as the manager and asked what was going on because he was standing next to the bartender during their conversation. He stated she was yelling at the bartender “like a crazy person.” My wife is a 6’1” black female who was talking loudly because there was a DJ. We proceeded to leave instead of engaging with little man and spoke to their security at the door who apologized on his behalf. For perspective, we were the only black people in there. Needless to say, we won’t be returning due to stigmatized racial bias. Security was cool tho.

I got married on the 22nd of Oct and as a after party me and around 16 guest decided to come to stoweaway as an after part after seeing great reviews but manly on its website and Google it states it’s open till 2am. However after getting their at 2250 the place was empty. We didn’t mind tho because they’re was 16 of us to spend money and liven the place up. Their was a live band initial who finished at 11 but agreed to stay on for tips however the 1 security guard told them they had to go home. This was the first red flag. After 15 mins of them leaving the security member who had his dog in the downstairs bar informed us that they are closing and turned it the music. This was at 0000, ber in mind both google and the bar website shows open to 0200. When we asked him why the place was closing so early he stated that they do every Sunday which didn’t seem the truth as the bartender stated they was open until 2 as the website suggested. However the security seemed to be intimidating the lone bar member into closing early, forcing her to turn the Music off and stating “if you turn it off they will leave”, referring to us. When we challenged him for closing early he was sexist to the females present calling the “babe” and shouting over them to be quiet, he refused to listen to them untill the website and licence for 0200 was brought up. He ended up waking away angry after being tipped $50. The bar still ended up closing over an hour early at 0050 instead of the advertised closing time of 0200 because it seemed the staff just wanted to go home. This was a horrible experience as me and my wife had just gotten married and aspected more from such a establishment. I recommend not going and finding somewhere else to go as this isn’t the place.

Just what DTLA has been needing. Live music every night. And not some throw-away cover bands ... actual talented musicians. Who would have thought?! The space is rustic, and well done. And the whole "speakeasy" vibe is very cool. The bar staff is light years ahead of the pack. Craft drinks, all the usual classics, and our bartender, Bree, made up a drink on the spot for my fickle companion. Mind-blown!
