Delicious street food restaurant. It literarily has everything you can think of, from shawarma, tawouk, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, furn, dessert, bouza, fruits and so on. You can either eat on the streets or sit in the restaurant. Service was great, however, prices are relatively higher than similar places

Nice food. I tried the chicken shawarma and the sandwich is being served with fries inside the sandwich. I also tried the vine leaves and sambosk. I liked the food and the prices were good. Then tried the ice cream but it was so normal, nothing special about it.

I am gonna miss this place so much, amazing food, great shawarma, the best fresh juices. I used to go for juice 2-3 times a day... the staff greets me even in the street, really nice people. Good prices and for some reason i never found the place closed.

One of the best places for sandwishes and evening cravings as the place is open 24h/7. All sandwishes are delicious but the place is particularly famous for its shawarma and francisco sandwiches. Highly recommended!

Daily plates are bit expensive but good, sandwiches are ok, too heavy on the mayo. Make sure you say hi to Abu 3abdo, the restaurant's cat manager 😻

Was planning a 5-star review of Barbar after a long absence, but this time: A total miss, zero star. Shawarma is a dish that requires a steady stream of customers to remain freshly grilled with good management of the grill at slow times. Attitude to hygene also failed miserably with the wash basin wash water. Both chicken and meat shawarma were overcooked and dry. Taratour was thick and stale even though the place was full in late afternoon. Still, 2-star material up to then would have been fair. The zero star was earned when washing one's mouth with washbasin water, which was salty/brakish from some deep well? In Beirut infrastructure?? After a meal, you would trust a restaurant, at least with the wash basin water supply that you would put in your mouth would be hygienicly clean. This was beyond irresponsible and quite disgusting for customers trusting Barbar"s quality and hygiene. Shame to lose what we thought was an icon in the area.

I ate there 2 days in a row. the falafel was not fresh and was served cold. The shawerma plate however was spectacular and filling. Prices are 5 dollars for the falafel and 12 dollars for the shawerma plate

Its our usual after drink spot whenever we are craving a good Francesco sandwich and chicken shawarma fulled with good garlic spread ( my favorites). Prices are fair , they have free parking and its the ultimate street food experience at midnight or any time of the day ...

Loved the shawarma sandwich, grape leaves were good, the hummus with meat was good too as it was tender. The fattouch salad wasn’t’ that great as it was basically a green salad with lemon juice, and vinegar added to it and missing the pomegranate syrup. The sitting atmosphere is more like a fast food than a restaurant. They have lots of variety to choose from.

We ate here everyday on our trip. Extensive menu and the place is very clean and staff very helpful. They have about 3 branches all next to each other selling various foods including traditional foods.

Chain restaurant good for takeaway middle eastern food. It's open until very late. Simply pay at the cash register and give your receipt to the cooks.

Good place to have a quick bite. Was very cheap with good quality, became expensive with same quality and smaller portions. Always busy with people stopping for a quick bite, they have a customers parking facing the place for free In case police patrols forbid people to park in front.

The shawarma is just delicious. The chicken is so juicy and the beef is cooked with herbs. It comes with salad, chips, sauce. The service was very fast. The place is fairly clean. Top!

July 2023: in here in this country to try to find best shawarma. This my first stop on their reputation. Beef shawarma was samll but meat tender tahini decidant. I can say it's the best one I have tried but it's guaranteed to be up with the top 10. Place is clean an staff is friendly. They are 3 stores in the intersection serving different foods. Next is the cold cuts sandwiches one across from this one

One of the best places for casual food in Beirut. I've been a loyal fan since 2019 maybe? And as a result I've tried most of their stuff, which have surprisingly been very consistent. My absolute favorite is the Philadelphia sandwich; seriously, as a person living abroad, I think about this sandwich all the time. One of the only foods I would ever give a solid 10/10. I also think their lahm b3ajin is wonderful, and all chicken sandwiches as well. Their prices are fair but I believe they price according to the market rate, so it might be a bit more expensive than other places. The food will never disappoint though.

I love this restaurant. No matter the prices are high, but every time i order the Fahita sandwiches. One of my best. Quality of food are always the same.

For a fast food place that specializes in subs ,Barbar Restaurant produces all kind of pretty sample. Very clean and they actually looked very delicious!! Very tasty especially the chicken sub and the crab

Fast service and delicious food yet a little bit pricey, the interior is very simple, food is served in stainless steel trays and toilets are not clean ... Could work more the interior.

Barbar sandwiches dont miss it

The famous Barbar Restaurant and Snack. I tried it after recommendations from food bloggers and instagram posts. The place is located ag the Center of Al Hamra, a very populated area and dense in Traffic. So you have to plan where you want to park your car if you are driving. Barbar has couple of shops on the same street, each specialized in a food concept. One shop of Shawarma and grill sandwiches, one shop for bakeries, one for snacks, and one for fresh juices. I tried the shawarma, Lahm Baajin, and Francisco Sandwich. The chicken shawarma is very deilcious but the sandwich size is very small (and the price is high compared to the size). The francisco sandwich is also tasty and can be considered as comfort food. However, to be honest, the Lahm Baajin was below my expectation. In general, recommended to try!

A lot of people in our group had stomach bugs and vomited more than once. Bad experience. Had way higher expectations than this so disappointed.
