This
establishment
is
unworthy
of
teaching
a
beautiful
discipline
such
as
freediving.
Let's
talk
in
more
detail
about
Blue
Immersion
and
its
actual
scam.
1.
The
quality
of
teaching
is
amateurish.
Despite
the
occasional
presence
of
a
handful
of
good
instructors,
most
of
them
are
very
young
and
inexperienced.
They
often
have
just
completed
their
training.
In
short,
the
instructors
generally
have
only
been
diving
for
a
short
time,
sometimes
for
a
shorter
time
than
some
of
their
students
(!).
However,
freediving,
especially
the
technique
of
compensation,
requires
TIME
when
the
technique
is
not
acquired
innately.
Just
because
instructors
are
able
to
dive
themselves
does
not
guarantee
that
they
will
be
able
to
actually
teach.
The
instructors
must
teach
in
the
water
AND
take
pictures
(which
are
offered
in
the
package).
It
is
undoubtedly
very
good
for
beginner
students
to
leave
with
an
introduction
to
diving
a
few
meters
underwater
and
a
handful
of
photos;
but
quality
freediving
instruction
requires
instructors
to
develop
very
keen
observational
skills
in
the
water.
However,
taking
pictures
and
observing
student’s
problems
in
the
water
are
two
completely
incompatible
things.
As
a
result,
the
problems
of
compensation
in
the
water
completely
escape
the
instructors,
because
they
have
to
take
care
of
the
photos
and
their
experience
is
anyway
not
great
enough
since
they
did
not
have
the
time
to
develop
themselves
before
teaching.
Thus,
Blue
Immersion
is
the
scene
of
very
common
accidents
among
students:
barotrauma
(up
to
pierced
eardrums),
trachea
squeezes,
lung
squeezes...
Students
sometimes
complain
that
their
ears
hurt
after
the
session,
but
instructors
don't
take
the
time
to
check
in
or
care
for
them.
A
student
I
know
belatedly
realized
that
she
had
a
pierced
eardrum
when
she
left
Koh
Tao…
2.
The
professionalism
and
ethics
of
management
are
non-existent.
A
Chinese
student
passes
her
SSI
instructor
training
at
Blue
Immersion
in
the
spring
of
2020.
When
she
asks
for
her
diploma
from
the
manager,
the
latter
retorts
that
she
must
pay
9,000
extra
baht
because
he
is
no
longer
affiliated
with
SSI,
following
setbacks
HE
has
with
the
organization.
Students
must
therefore
register
again
and
pay
this
amount
to
validate
their
training.
Rather
than
finding
a
solution
or
resolving
the
problem
as
a
responsible
business
owner
with
his
own
funds,
the
manager
considers
that
it
is
up
to
the
student
to
pay
again
and
goes
so
far
as
to
call
her
an
idiot
since
she
had
already
found
a
teaching
position
in
another
school
(which
rightly
demands
proof
that
she
is
well
qualified
for
the
job).
And
even
more
serious,
the
latter
organized
many
secret
open
water
sessions
with
Blue
Immersion
during
Thailand’s
lockdown
in
April,
while
doing
business
and
using
boats
was
strictly
prohibited.
He
has
also,
for
the
sake
of
discretion,
made
the
students
dive
into
rough
waters,
in
defiance
of
any
basic
safety
and
respect
for
the
law
of
the
country
in
which
he
is
merely
a
guest.
3.
The
manager
discredits
and
openly
insults
his
competitors
on
the
island
of
Koh
Tao,
regularly
and
repeatedly
on
social
networks
open
for
communication
between
students
and
Blue
Immersion.
4.
The
manager
does
not
hesitate
to
look
down
on,
intimidate
or
insult
clients
as
soon
as
a
problem
arises,
especially
when
a
student
makes
remarks
about
his
or
her
shortcomings
or
about
any
problem
he
or
she
has
encountered
while
diving
with
Blue
Immersion.
A
remark
or
a
legitimate
request
for
paid
service
can
lead
to
be
bullied
and
being
called
an
idiot,
a
cheap
person,
immature,
lacking
in
experience
of
life,
etc.
The
conclusion
of
this
review
given
on
Blue
Immersion
is
simple:
Blue
Immersion
and
its
manager
are
unworthy
of
teaching
freediving.
