(Translated by Google) According to archival documents, the parish church of the All-Merciful Savior - the Origin of the Honest Trees of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord in the village of Kuskovo was first mentioned in 1510. Its ensemble also included a bell tower and a church wing. As for the land, at the Temple there were only 33 tithes "these lands are in the undisputed possession of the clergy." Of these, "about seven acres" were leased for the Sheremetev estate. All the owners of the estate regularly paid the rug (rent).

The Church of the All-Merciful Savior is the home church of the Kuskovo estate. Located next to the palace, in the central part of Kuskovo, it creates an unforgettable view both from the side of the pond and in the ensemble of the estate.

The summer stone single-altar Church of the All-Merciful Savior (another name is the Temple of the Origin of the Honest Trees of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord) in the Sheremetev estate was built in 1737 - 1739. on the site of a dilapidated wooden church, mention of which is in the chronicles of the 17th century, and it was presumably built in the 20s of the 16th century. The temple is the oldest building in the Kuskovo estate. Kuskovo was first mentioned in the chronicles of the 16th century and already as the possession of the Sheremetevs, whose family was one of the most noble in Russia. Since its construction, the church has not been rebuilt and has survived to this day in its original form. It is considered one of the rare architectural monuments of Moscow in the style of “Anenn Baroque” (Baroque of the era of Anna Ioannovna). In 1919, the estate received the status of a State Museum. The church building was converted into museum outbuildings. The Church of the All-Merciful Savior was restored and re-consecrated in 1991. In November 2010, it received the status of a protected object - an architectural monument of the 18th century.

In general, nothing unusual, it looks normal, but it looks good in one picture next to the palace.

(Translated by Google) This is a unique monument made in the Baroque style. In 1737, the church turned from wooden to stone. Since then, it has not been rebuilt and has existed in that form for more than two hundred years. And even the invasion of the French army did not become a strong shock for these places. There was destruction, but they were quickly eliminated. The October Revolution took place and auxiliary rooms were equipped in the building of the church at the operating museum. And only in 1991 the church was restored and re-consecrated.

The territory of the Kuskovo estate with the royal pond - This is an area of extraordinary beauty, part of which is given to residents for free recreation - a forest, canals, a pond, an alley, partly the palace itself, pavilions, a church, a regular park - we visit for a reasonable fee and where you can admire, walk and look, study our history, how the royals lived and rested, spent their time, how they arranged their environment. This is an open-air historical and landscape museum of unique beauty, requiring from each of us PRESERVATION AND THRUGGLE, so that our descendants will also get it. Good luck!

The church is very cozy, prayerful, there are many ancient icons. When there is a service, entry to the Kuskovo estate is free. Services are scheduled, usually at 9.30. Here is the icon “Unexpected Joy”, which was recently pacified. Very nice father. I recommend visiting this church.
