Вокруг Храма сохранилось самое древнее в Москве кладбище. Одно время сюда устраивали настоящие паломничества, так как на церковном кладбище храма Ильи Пророка похоронили московского юродивого Корейшу. Иван Яковлевич Корейша - русский юродивый, почитаемый многими современниками в качестве прозорливого, прорицателя и блаженного, но не канонизированный и не прославляемый Русской Православной церковью в лике святых. А в середине 20 века в храм Ильи Пророка в Черкизове, свозили иконы из разбираемых церквей.

The history of the Temple is long. The temple was not closed during the Soviet era. The place is prayed for, bright. A good choir, sings beautifully with tints. The parishioners and ministers are kind and sympathetic. Many rare icons. Despite the noisy surroundings from the highway, it is quiet and cozy here. Here you feel at ease and blessed. The temple is very beautiful, the parishioners and ministers are very friendly, there are a lot of ancient and rare icons, mesmerizing singing during the service, you leave the temple as if wings had grown behind your back.
