The museum is very large and filled with interesting artifacts. I came to learn more about the brother of my great-great-grandfather (Burakov I.E.), who worked in this depot for many years and was the organizer of the first Subotkin or “Great Initiative,” as evidenced by the memorial plaque where his name is indicated. Special thanks to the elderly woman guide, who clearly explained and showed everything. And a man who worked there as a driver for 32 years, and now works further at the depot, but in a different profession.

A wonderful museum of the local depot, and most importantly the museum of the first subbotnik in the world! Where they talk about the pioneers of this movement about their achievements and the history of this movement. The same steam locomotive that was repaired at the first subbotnik, O-v 7024, is displayed in the open air, with difficulty found. The exhibition itself is presented in two halls: the first is dedicated to subbotnik, work on the railway in tsarist times; the second years of the Second World War, locomotives ever serviced, roads to outstanding personalities, awards, banners, achievements, a stand with souvenirs brought by honorary visitors. The depot was formed from workshops in 1909, which suggests that there is something to tell and show. If available, you can purchase souvenirs, books and catalogues. Free admission. The tour was led by a woman who saw the depot flourish and is personally acquainted with many of the heroes. You need to go to the museum through the Main Entrance to the depot through security, straight through the room, and when you exit you will run into the entrance to the museum.

I have been working in this depot since 1979. I worked as a mechanic, an assistant driver, and from 1983 to 1998 as an electric locomotive driver. With the opening of a new workshop (electronics), I switched to working as an electromechanic for safety devices and have been working to this day.

Wonderful experience! The only thing is that a bunch of homeless people live not far from the museum.

Open-air museum. The exhibition consists of a narrow-gauge diesel locomotive, a carriage and a platform. Respect and gratitude to the employees of the Russian depot and the village administration for the safety of the exhibits and respect for history.
