The view of the rocket taking off from the side of this monument is much more epic than from the side of the museum. This is probably how it was intended.

It's a beautiful monument and a great place to visit if you're in the neighbourhood. It's quite easy to find by subway (that is, as easy as it gets with everything Cyrillic).

Monument of Tsiolkovsky, one of the foundering fathers of rocketry and astronautics. Key figure in Soviet space program.

beautiful building. On the side, there are reliefs of people who contributed to the space program (there's even a dog called Laika), but Koryolov, who is thought to be the biggest contributor, is not in the relief because it was kept secret even during construction. There was a description in the museum. The achievements are properly introduced in the museum.
