Trash! I was rejected from my childs grade 5 fieldtrip today over outdated vaccine passport. Not because I'm unvaccinated, simply because I won't prove it. The Province dropped it weeks ago but the Dam is still enforcing this nonsense. 60 primarily unnvaccinated school kids attended (because they are under 12) ... make it make sense. 🤦‍♀️👎

We visited the dam on the first day the visitor center was open in 2022. It was really great. We did a tour with a German audio guide, this was also very informative. The entrance fees are good. There is a lot offered for children, so it is good to come here with your family. At the end of the visit there were still some excursion tips from a staff member, these were absolutely great, thanks for that!

Great way to spend an hour or two. Wonderful tour guide, very informative session. Relatively cheap at $30 for a family of 4. Even kept the young kids entertained.

Popular science green energy is very good, and it also gives children some basic knowledge of electricity. The construction process of the whole dam is introduced. The last visit was to the top of the dam.You can overlook the panoramic view of the valley and the power station. The wide flood discharge can take off and land.Very worthwhile. The introduction of hydropower resources in North America is also very detailed. The tour ends with an elevator ride to the top of the dam. It has a panoramic view of the valley and the transmission substation. The wide spillway can take off and land aircraft. It is well worth a visit.

$8 per person, $7 for kids. Very clean and informative the reason it gets 4 stars is because of the elevator that takes you up to the viewing deck. It’s extremely slow and you have to wait a long time for your turn. It’s also shared with the workers.

I really enjoyed the tour . The tour guide was very helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable. Admission was reasonably priced. Unfortunately because of security reasons the public is not allowed to enter a lot of places they once were.

Very impressive project. Recommend going with the dam tour as it’s very informative but staying behind when the group has left the viewing area at the top of the dam. Going down the “very slow elevation” and waking through the cold tunnel along, you will hear and feel the vibrations of this great concrete structure.

Enjoyed our tour of the facility. It was interesting to see the history of the construction as well as learn about the future plans as well. Definitely worth the $8 admission for the guided tour.

This is an interesting and educational tour. The views from the top of the dam are pretty great too. We enjoyed all of the hands on exhibits and we’re not even kids! The audio tour is a must if you don’t have an in person tour guide. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend.

Nice little educational side trip. Not often we get to see a dam up close and inside! Lots of good info and witness it’s massive scale. Very accessible and friendly staff. Our two teenage kids enjoyed as well.

That's so cool that BC Hydro let everyone to visit that amazing piece of engineering art! Super interesting for kids,a lot of interactive exhibits.Great view. But you have to show vaccine proof.

I'm biased, as I think Hydro Dams are really cool. But it's a great stop for the whole family. Very informative and interactive guided tour. 6 dollars per adult is one of the more reasonable admission prices you'll come across. As well as a very decently priced gift shop. Thanks BC Hydro!

I visited here ~20 years ago, and felt amazed. Now bringing kids to here so that they could learn about where the electricity was coming from. Nowadays kids know no more than the plugs in the wall lol. They had really learnt a lot. Well worth the drive. Do note that as of the day we visited (Jul 2022), it still required a proof of vaccination, which was uncommon these days, except maybe medical facilities. I had not shown my vaccine passport for months and needed to dig it out deep down from my phone photo gallery 😆
