Amazing rapport qualité / prix 🥇 The fare is refined but reasonably priced. Not open for dinner so plan for a brunch or lunch. I’ve been living in the area for years and think Le Kitchen really makes the quartier feel “Parisian class”. They recently did a remodel giving it an Art Deco flare I love. If weather is nice outdoor seating is preferable, inside it’s a bit too cozy but if you can sit at the bar, I think that’s the best spot 👍

Unluckily, a guy brought me a glass of the wine which I didn’t order. I was supposed to have pino gris and it was definitely another one. I asked to bring a bottle of what I ordered and it was finally it. I am not going to go there again.

I have been coming here every time I visit Lyon since 2018. Unfortunately, the service has gotten significantly worse. This morning the waitress forgot our main course. We waited ONE HOUR before she realized the mistake. While she verbally apologized, there was no offer of compensation or gesture whatsoever. The male server then simply brought out the dish without acknowledging the issue to us. The waitress’ attitude was fine and we understood mistakes happen. But the male waiter was extremely bad. When I said we didn’t want dessert and requested the bill, he DEMANDED to know “we apologized so why are you still upset?!?!” I explained it would’ve been better if they offered an item. But nothing was offered at all. Not even after I paid the bill. I honestly felt embarrassed by their attitude. The waiter’s service was the worst I’ve seen in France. I hope they can rectify their behavior to avoid losing more loyal customers.

Following a delicious breakfast with completely scrumptious cinnamon bun, they luckily had a table for luncheon - exquisite and interesting ;fresh and fun - great place - all the waiters were friendly and helpful. If you're here for an amazing food experience then you're in the right place! Parsley and lemon sorbet - wow!!

I enjoyed this place. The server was very nice, and the restaurant had a nice vibe to it. The food was excellent, although the lunch menu didn't have many options. The desserts were all very good as well, and definitely the best part of the meal.

Solid food, but what’s noteworthy is the dessert! Nice, attentive staff that speak English. They even had an English menu. Definitely book reservations because this place gets busy. I got trout with vegetables as my main dish, and it didn’t knock my socks off (actually thought the veggies were a bit undercooked) but there was nothing wrong and it was overall a fine meal. I really, really loved their “chocolate of different textures” dessert. It fulfilled the assignment and had excellent chocolate-y flavor, not overly sweet.

Had bad day in Lyon, somebody broke our car window and took our luggage away. But had lunch in Le kitchen, got a little happiness in a bad day. Than you!

A must visit for causal lunch. Simple menu but perfectly executed. Starter, main and dessert for 32€ including water on weekends. Starters were very tasty however one of the mains was the best dish I've ever eaten in Lyon. Angus steak with crunchy beetroot and puree and sauté mushrooms. The hazelnut praline dessert was also very well balanced and delicious. Highly recommended.

This is the crown jewel of lyonnaise cuisine, reservations a must. Had all three courses, roasted monkfish liver with carrot purée, sea bream with red lentil purée and helichrysum sauce, and a candied cherry and rhubarb with shortbread dessert. Also pictured is the roast beef and chocolate ganache with caramel and thyme ice cream my partner had. The fish dish was one of the best I’ve ever had bursting with flavor, the liver was rich, my dessert was very tart and sugary while the other was luscious chocolate with incredible textures. One of the best overall meals I’ve had, I can’t stress enough how much you should check this place out!!! The only negative was we ordered sparkling instead of still water and probably since we are Americans were served still. Their English is very good also, but a very understandable mix up.

The chocolate dessert was outstanding, harmonious blend of textures, and the mousse was simply heavenly. Although not visible in the picture, the ice cream and cake layer added a delightful surprise. We discovered a fantastic Chardonnay from Jura. Very friendly staff. Visiting on January 1st may not reflect the usual atmosphere, and it appeared the place is undergoing renovations, promising an even better experience in the future.

Great small cafe, modern approach to breakfast with thoughtful dishes. Very impressive technique from the chef on what seems to be a signature soft boiled soy marinated egg. Pastries are a highlight - cinnamon and cardamom bun was really delightful. Service was good, and accommodating for a member of our party with intolerances. Good walkable location and overall a great meal. Thanks!

A fantastic little place. Great staff and exceptional food. The chefs here are going to do great things in the future. Varied menu. The chocolate dessert was wonderful as was the poached pear ! If you are in the area, enjoy good food then I would recommend you book (PS thanks for the return of my back pack!)

Great place to enjoy a delicate food in a nice setting. I like the fact the the kitchen often renews it's menu along with the seasons. Staff is super friendly and always have a great time there.

What a wonderful meal! Relaxed atmosphere with stellar food. Very fresh and creative. We came in on Sunday afternoon on a whim after visiting the resistance museum — and has turned out to be our favorite meal on this whole trip.

The food was good but if you are a tourist, you feel treated accordingly. It's like they offer a French service and a tourist service. Tourists get smaller portions and are asked to leave in time. Speaking French doesn't help. You will still be addressed in English and treated accordingly.

Great place! The menu rotates weekly so check the website. Food was excellent! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Staff was awesome. And at an affordable price. Meal comes with sparkling water. Don't miss it!

The staffs were kind and made sure everything was all right. I had imagined the normal ice tea when I ordered "iced tea" but it turned out to be tea infused peach flavored drink and it was so so good. For food, I ordered Plat Salé du Brunch (€12).

Well, this place was for me the worst experience in hospitality ever. The cook deserves great rating. Unfortunately, the taste of food was fully destroyed by the behaviour of the host. He essentially kicked out our lady companion, beacuse she wanted to eat just salad and not the menu. Although the remaining two of us had full meal. His excuse was that they have many reservations. The place was half empty. I have nothing more to say.

Fresh and easy start to the morning Lovely setting and a large Terrace (where we had the breakfast). A very relaxed feel. Close to the Lyon2 University. Though the breakfast menu was limited it was 'flexible' upon request (with no extra charge). The Granola with Farmhouse cheese was a 'new try' for me but worked really, really well with the Honey and fresh fruit. Nice selection of pastry's and fresh Grapefruit juice finished it off nicely. (Apologies for extreme lateness of review. I thought i had posted previously)

Great for a quick stop or a cosy hideaway on a rainy day. Great food and coffee! The trout was beautiful and we loved the cinnamon scroll.

I came here for a savory breakfast and I give ‘The Vegetarian’ (9,90€ à la carte) five stars. It was so innovative and delicious! A boiled egg marinated in soy sauce over brioche and fresh, homemade fromage frais (a kind of cream cheese) with a generous helping of pesto and pickled veggies and salad. A bit unusual, I thought, for breakfast but I’m so glad I tried! Plus the staff is nice, the food came out almost instantly, the ambiance is great for a weekday at 10:30 and the covered terrace is perfect with plenty of seating.

A comfortable cozy place. We visited this place for breakfast, no reservation was needed. The food was extremely good and so was the coffee. The service is very quick!

The croissant and other patisseries are excellent, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be visiting soon again

The food is visually pleasing but I wouldn’t say it delivers the same on taste. I expected more. Friendly staff though.

Delicious breakfast, we felt very lucky to find a walk-in table at 10:20ish though it seemed like there were several open tables. Service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere on the terrace outside was happy and relaxed with many locals also.
