If you are a tea lover, this is the place to go. The fields are impressive, and we saw employees in the process of collecting tea leaves and drying them. Boutique is nice for souvenirs and the restaurant has a great view. Unlimited free tea to taste, this is paradise! Of course after tasting, i wanted to buy it all. This is the oldest tea plantation in Europe and they sure know how to make great tea.

Definitely worth a visit, I learned a lot! The free guided tour was very interesting and includes a tea tasting, overall it takes less than 30 minutes. Before or after it you can hike the surrounding tea plantation and go up the hill, which offers a great view of nature and the nearby sea. The plantation also offers a shop where you can buy tea and tea-related products as well as a small cafe.

This is the first tea factory/plantation I have been to. The plantation can be freely walked through and is very peaceful. A tour of the factory is offered upon request. It is free but pretty brief. At the end you can sample green and black teas. I did not love the tea and though it lacked flavor but still enjoyed the experience. The cafe within the factory is wonderful. They have a great selection of baked goods and sandwiches, coffee, etc. They also have liquor our samples for 1Euro, which is a steal because one tasting is enough for a lightweight to get a buzz. I loved visiting the factory.

This is the best tea plantation experience! There is no entrance fee and you can sample different kinds of teas. Gift shop and cafe are so nice and you can find souvenirs at great price. You can take the tea to outside balcony to enjoy the beautiful views. Tuxedo cat was chilling by the ledge and enjoying the beautiful views. It was an amazing experience and highly recommend to stop by when you are in the island.

You can sample lots of tea here and lots of tea souvenirs to take home. They also have a cafe, tea is free! They have good selection of pastries. I came here(1st week of July) after hiking in Faial da Terra for hours and I had the best tea experience. Parking can be full at the front but you can go around the back to park by the field.

This is a wonderful place, the best tea plantation experience on the island. You can take a guided tour through the tea making process, available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. There is a lovely shop and cafe where you can try the tea for free and other local things like tea liqueur. You can walk around the tea plantation and sit on the balcony overlooking the sea.

The free tour was great for beginner tea making learners and the souvenir shop had lots of economical options. Views from the cafe were beautiful and the cats on property were super friendly ❤️

A great place to visit - if you want to witness how they make the tea, come in a week day. There is a huge parking (free), the factory is on one side of the road and tea plantations are on the other. There is no entrance fee. If it has rained, the path between the plantations is muddy but still worth the visit. The view is absolutely beautiful! Inside the factory you can try the tea and buy tea/souvenirs at normal prices. I totally recommend.
