👍👍 Magical place. The drive down was very green and scenic. We were the only ones there. You can walk upstream through the river and feel like you're in lord of the rings. Peaceful and beautiful nature. If you like nature and less touristy things, check it out.

👍👍 When in Ribeira Grande you should definitely visit this museum. It features contemporary art, mainly temporary exhibitions from Portuguese /Azorean artists. But also they museum itself is worth a visit. Entrance fee was 3€ in August 2019. You will also find a book store.

👍👍 Frequently visited the public pools in Ribeira Grande. Pools are clean and there is a small beach to enjoy. Great for the kids.
