UK tourist here. I stayed here with my parents for 4 nights. On arrive, don’t be fooled by the exterior as it doesn’t look like your regular premier inn. The staff are so lovely and the rooms are so comfortable. I have never slept better than I have in those beds! In the morning there is a selection of juices, delicious muffins, fruit and an ice machine which was great for how hot it gets. Toronto is meant to be a 40 min drive but due to traffic it’s about 1.5 hours in rush hour. If you don’t want to be in the city for the whole of your stay, Gravenhurst is about an hour, maybe a bit more and takes you to a lovely lake with bars/ restaurants. The hotel is clean, comfy and has very good air con!

Very good price compared to a lot of similar options north of Toronto. Older, but clean. Very good beds. Good location for us, since we were visiting Richmond Hill (but we also drove downtown one day). Breakfast is included, but it is very basic - coffee, muffins (quite good), bran flakes, and apples. There is a small drive-through Tim Hortons in the gas station just outside. Or you can get food from a grocery store (many nearby) and keep it in the fridge in the room and eat for breakfast (that's what we did). The walls seem quite thin, so you can hear some noise, but when we stayed here it was very quiet.

It was a big problem for us that our room was on the second floor and there is no elevator. The stairs are steep. We booked because the cost was the lowest of anything in the region. We wouldn't have if we'd realized we had no choice about where the room would be and that we had to climb stairs to get there. The room was fine. Small but nicely laid out. The bed a bit on the hard side. Definitely clean.

Incredibly rude staff. I just called to book and the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude. Very shady as their prices don’t match up with the website. I asked questions and he sounded annoyed answering the phone and answering questions. He was so rude and so curt I didn’t even want to book with this hotel anymore. I would rather drive double the distance than to stay here. How they answer the phone and treat potential visitors is only an example of what this inn would be like. Hard pass and I think I’ve dodged a bullet here. Work on your customer service skills.

If you're looking for affordable accommodations in this town, this isn't bad. You get what you pay for, a basic room with the amenities. The carpet and drapes look like they are out of 1992 but the bed and pillows are comfortable. Hot coffee in the lobby! Noisy doors to get to the room though, can hear the lobby if you're in room 104. Don't look out the windows.

Very nice, very courteous. Could have been more helpful; we needed an extension on the room, so they could have given us a rebate or discount . It was alright.

Used this as an overnight stop after a long flight, prior to starting our road trip. The guy on reception was great and the rooms were better than we expected. The showers were awesome, just what you need after flying. Nice and quite as well.

We planned a last minute trip to visit family in Toronto and it was almost impossible to find a hotel room. Booked this with very, VERY low expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly employee. The rooms were clean, cool and comfortable. Better than some 5 ⭐️ hotels I’ve stayed in. Will be returning for sure.

We arrived on 8/8 around 22:30. Guy in front desk was not very welcoming and you have felling he was not happy that he have to work to book us in. We was there for 3 nights and room was cleaned only once. Positive here is great location if you want visit Canada Wonderland, good WIFI, and price was ok to what you recive in your room.

Much nicer rooms inside than its exterior lets on. Staff is polite and were very cordial about letting our service dog stay with us in the room despite the "no pet" signs posted everywhere.

When I got there the guy at front desk was extremely nice! I was there for about 3 hours and I couldn’t stay because the bed wasn’t comfy and it smelt really musty! The day after leaving the motel I was extremely itchy and I am now getting welts all over my body. My doctor is thinking it’s bed bugs!! I really would like to get a refund but don’t know how to email the manager.

On line advertised pet friendly. I make my reservation and drive half way across the country to be told by the guy working the counter that they don't take pets. Now I'm scrabbling to find accommodations last minute

The room was exactly like the picture provided. The only thing is, the front desk lacks customer services. I had called them twice since my duvet was dirty with some sort of stain and there was no answer. Called twice. Even when checking out, the customer service agent was to busy on the phone in order to properly check me out.

We stayed here after renovation, oh man I why did they renovated? The hotel smell like weed. Probably all these years they were allowing smoking inside, I don’t know. What I know is that I got sick. Service was unbelievable, the ladies who support to clean the room were screaming every single morning. Horrible experience

Stayed mid August. Great inn, but the breakfast was very light. Stayed in room 228. Was modern and comfortable. FYI Mini fridge doesn't have freezer but they have an ice machine

Total of 4 stars because of the price is a little expensive as well as the AC/Heater is kinda noisy but manageable, you can still get a good sleep

Very clean room. The remodeled are very nice and even the rooms that haven’t been upgraded are clean and in good condition. Staff was very friendly. Great value for the price in a good location right off Yonge Street. Would definitely stay again.

Great customer service and they only ask for your credit info and they don't actually charge your card first which is good.

Save your money and avoid at all costs. Literally cannot find 1 good or even average thing about this place. Each experience and feature was terrible and negative.

Excellent room for under $100. Air conditioned, clean, refrigerator and TV. My wife did receive a bed bug bite, so needs stronger detergents when cleaning sheets next time.

The rooms were clean. The breakfast wasnt very good it has only cupcacke and other morning-drinks like coffee. The location wasnt close to downtown, it took 30 minutes to get into downtown.

We went to book rooms for 5 days but the rude front desk lady refused to book for 5 days, she said that you have to check out everyday then have to recheck-in but they have to see if there are available rooms. We wanted to have a look at the room to which she refused. If she does not want business it would be quicker for both of us to say it upfront. We decided to go to Richmond Hill Inn which is nearby. They had courteous service and were very friendly. The rate was cheaper and they even let us see the rooms. Definitely recommend going there.

I was going to give this place 5 stars but unfortunately after the night time workers came in we were treated very rudely. Pros- amazing beds, good prices, nice afternoon staff, very clean, noise cancelling quiet rooms, free breakfast, late check out available, and close to a lot of shops and food! Cons- rude night staff, missing bath stopper (staff wasn’t willing to get one for us). overall not too many cons if you are looking for a weekend away or a night stay. Not sure why people have been rating this place low other than the night time staff.

I’m not sure why this motel only has 3.7 stars, I had a great experience. Stayed there with my 2 kids aged 2 and 5 and we all loved it. The staff were friendly. Beds were extremely comfortable, the room was comfortable for all of us and the motel itself was extremely quiet. I will definitely be stayed there again in the future. Highly recommend!

This hotel was clean with very firm beds. Check in and out was fast. This place was difficult to find as it was actually down an alley with a very small sign between a gas station and a strip mall.

Nice room, friendly staff. The non-smoking room smelled a bit of cigarette though when I arrived, and the elderly male receptionist couldn't move me to another, as they are fully booked, he said.

Honestly its pretty good for the price you pay. The location is really good as it has a lot of stores beside it. Pictures are not really similar to what it is in person, but still its good for the price your paying

The hallway smells like cigarettes and the front desk went into my room without permission….

  • 4/5 David C. 2 years ago on Google
It was very nice and clean. The desk clerk even suggested giving us a room on the main floor so my wife would not have to climb the stairs to the second floor.

Ima give it 2 stars because of the night time guy. The woman who worked the day, was incredibly rude. She targeted us for being young. Threatened us so much with dont smoke dont do this. Then when we enter our room its like oh it smells nice followed by a massive cigarette smell. Right after getting a 15 minute lecture on no smoking. Our sheets where stained disgusting she offer a different room but odds are its the same i didn't care because i was only there one noght for a few hours. However dont attack your customers then let them enter a room that smells like what you want to blame us for.
