Originally called Dragon Boat and was informed the East Beaver location closed, however their Bayview location was the same. Unfortunately it wasn’t, they no longer have the early bird dim sum special and the menu is limited before 11am. The large appetizing portions did reflect the higher cost. The servers’ demeanour was cold, but the food was hot and tasty. I concur with the previous reviewers, the molten yolk bun was delicious! I recommend coming earlier as it does get busy fairly quickly.

My general rule of thumb for a quality Chinese restaurant are cleanliness of its washrooms. Attention to cleanliness and detail, shows in the quality of food. I was very surprised by this restaurant. Very clean and well kept, including the washroom. Service was great, and the food was amazing. All the food was fresh and flavorful. The portions of each dish were more than enough for a table of 12. Prices are a little higher than the standard, but well worth it.

I was really looking forward to coming here for a very long time. Unfortunately, we were both really let down with the quality of the food. There was absolutely no flavour to anything we ordered the peeking duck and it was so dry and had NO flavour- the hot and sour soup was also flavourless. The stuffed crab claws were like eating rubber! The only thing that was good was the roasted pork. We were so let down because it’s so beautiful inside but unfortunately the food does not match the atmosphere at all.

Haven't been here since the pandemic started. Heard about the $4.99 bbq rice weekday special so decided to come check it out. Portion sizes are great comparatively speaking and the wait time on a weekday is significantly shorter than weekends (still had to wait) compared to before the pandemic. Food quality still on par with what it used to be. Recommend coming early to beat the lunch crowd.

Very good dim sum in Richmond Hill. Very cozy place and clean. A bit cloudy after 11am. Servers are very friendly and fast. They will accommodate everyone well. Food was very tasteful and not that overpriced compared to other restaurants. Not very salty or oily. Was perfect done. Chef has a good skills. I would recommend this place for everyone.

Overall the dim sum is quite good at this place and I would give 4.5 stars. However, for those who have kids or are adventurous, make sure you DO NOT order this “活潑雞仔” which costs something like $12! I’ve never had such hilarious episode that I had to speak to the manager (I wasn’t angrily complaining) “this dish (look) is very scary. how can this even be served to customers? Can you tell me which part of the pastry looks like chicks (let alone “活潑”)? In addition, the pastry is not cooked and I can see finger prints on the pastry.” Manager immediately offered to cancel the dish which I appreciated very much, but he also couldn’t stop laughing and called for another manager to take a look.

This is our first time and will be back again soon. The price for Dim Sum is good, the size of the food is big, and the service is just okay. Overall, the taste is very different from many traditional Dim Sum I had before. Also, I like the decorating of the restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone

The portions were amazing. I loved every single thing we ordered. Service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend coming here earlier because it might be a bit of a wait. The prices are extremely reasonable. It feels like we ordered a huge feast and it came to less than $30 each.

Came here to celebrate a family birthday during dinner on a Monday night. There were a fair number of empty tables and there was no wait. We ordered a la carte and enjoyed every single dish we had. The staff was friendly and attentive. Tables were spaced out nicely for physical distancing purposes. All staff would properly masks. The staff also used gloves whenever they handled any food items. Free desserts were included in the picture including sweet red bean soup.

Made reservations (6 people) for Saturday at 11:30AM - still ended up waiting over an hour for a table. For smaller tables, the wait will probably be 30 minutes to an hour at this time... So arrive earlier. No issues with the service - everyone was nice and polite. Only the host at the front podium was a bit cold, but honestly can't blame her - droves of persistent aunty and uncles asking for updates on their table, breathing all over her. The dim sum here is delicious. Better quality than your average dim sum restaurant. Ballpark around 3 dishes per person and you should be good.

Went here for dimsum on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy but there is a lot of seating so there wasn't a wait time. The restaurant was fairly clean and very bright and fancy. The servers were quick but not very friendly. The food was delicious especially when you consider the portion size to cost ratio. You really do get your money's worth. I would highly recommend the beef spare ribs and the honey milk sponge cake.

First time to visit this place. I probably had the most delicious dim sum in my whole life. I was born and raised in Asia. This is even better than most of dim sum places in Asia. There’s no disappointment. 蝦餃 蝦球 燒賣are must try. The portions are generous. The price is reasonable I’d definitely drive 5 hours from Montreal just for this place.

Last year, on my trip to Canada, my friend and her family treated me to this fantastic restaurant. The One is absolutely exceptional- and what an apt name for this place, there is no other one like this place! The cuisine is exemplary- fresh, perfectly prepared and expertly cooked. The food was perfection- each dish hit my tastebuds like a perfectly composed palette of fresh, vibrant flavors. This was also my first time seeing live seafood and seeing it prepared freshly before me, and it felt like something out of an amazing movie! The fish and crab were absolutely stunning and beautifully prepared with such expert professionalism by the fantastic staff at The One! The staff went above and beyond with their generosity, hospitality, and consideration. I had never received such exceptional service in an establishment before. The decor was elegantly coordinated, giving a light, airy and fresh modern look and free environment of class and sophistication. I highly recommend them to anyone who is in the area, and the food is so good that it would even justify a trip going all the way to Canada! Many thanks to my friend for taking me to this fantastic place and many thanks to the fantastic staff of The One!

Went here for lunch with a reservation and took probably 45 minutes for us to get our seats. Fortunately, the food came very quickly and I was pretty surprised how good the food was. The portions were huge and very tasty. The siu mai was juicy, and best of all the dumplings did not contain any cilantro, which is a big plus for me. Make sure to get a reservation and expect long waits.

Best Dim Sum I’ve ate so far. Great portions. Delicious food. Good quality & prices. Fast service. I suggest you to arrive before 11 AM or after 2 PM on weekends and to make a reservation. I waited 1h45 minutes for a table of 4 people.

Food was presented very nicely and also tasted great. The Su Mai was larger and fancier than usual and was also good tasting! Dim Sum was also value for our group of 6, just about $15-20 per person. Service was decent but we ran into 1 blip - the restaurant mistyped the final amount on our bill and after we paid, they came to our table and asked us to pay a bit more (even though the tip had already covered the difference). We made a booking for 10am on a Wednesday but ended up getting a walk-in table with no wait. Groups were lining up at around 11:30 when we were leaving.

Everything tasted fantastic - not too bland, sweet or salt…just right. Beautifully plated, great customer service, and very efficient. Priced fair for portion of each dish. It is definitely more on the upscale cuisine.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Its very hard to do quality dishes for large group, mulitiple dishes and while the restaurant is packed. But this restaurant has nailed it. All dishes were flavourful, hot and delicious

Food was not good. The staff was okay, however, I feel that they tricked us in terms of their fish. The food was very salty, so when I got home I had to drink lots and lots of water. The staff said that the fish was made and very good soup high quality. It wasn’t, it was very nothing with no flavour! I just think the staff put way too many MSG into the food and it’s just not very good food that I thought it was. Cost was very expensive!

New Year eve was very busy but with reservation we got our table on time. DimSum was good 👍 and we ordered almost all common, popular items were all tasty. I enjoyed the food and time with friends 😊.

Beautiful Chinese restaurant in Richmond Hill! Very friendly and helpful customer service, beautiful modern design and décor, flavorful and artful presentation. The ambiance is equally enchanting, creating a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended!

Fantastic dim sum restaurant. The prices are reflective of the quality and the portion size. The staff is attentive and offers great service. We ordered 12 items on the menu and they were all delicious! Highly recommend the Siu Mai and the Pork ribs

It offers authentic Cantonese dishes with fresh ingredients and meticulous preparation. I like their dinner menu more than morning dim sum selection. When you order lobster, try stir fried w/salted egg yolk, it really tasty and delicious. The highlight was the surprisingly delightful Fried Vermicelli in "Singapore Style", a budget-friendly option showcasing the chef's skill and flavorful mastery. Don't miss the Hainanese Chicken, a must-try that adds to the overall impressive dining experience.

Amazing place for dimsum. Authentic and worth the price. Excellent and efficient service. Live seafood available too. Call ahead for reservations are always recommended.

High end dim sum with a small menu. The selection are the typical selection. Huge pieces of dim sum. Staff are cold but did their jobs. Clean restrooms. It was a decent experience but not the best I've had since I've had much better experiences even at cheaper places.

Food: 4.5/5 I love how the menu items are not too salty/greasy. A lot of items taste almost homemade, like the mushroom vermicelli! Favourite items were the lava custard buns, giant fried shrimp and chive dumplings, beef tendon, beef stomach, curry octopus, chicken feet, mussel and thousand year egg congee, and salted egg yolk sponge cake. The veggie steamed shumai was unfortunately very bland, their shrimp changfen skin was a bit too thick, and the beef shortribs were overcooked. Everything else tasted great! Service: 2.5/5 At first everything came promptly and almost all at once, but we waited over an hour for our mushroom vermicelli noodle soup. Glad they did not kick us out despite the long line forming on Saturday morning. Atmosphere: 4/5 Standard dimsum atmosphere, great for small talk but quite busy. Remember to make a reservation beforehand! Total for 8 people: around $200

We went for dinner and had pretty good dishes. The waitress was helpful and modified the menu based on our preference. It was my first time there one of the lady even remembered me from the other two restaurants that she worked before! The desert was served on the house. Our table was a little noisy because near by the service counter. Everything else was great.

If you're looking for some delicious dim sum, this restaurant is a great place to try. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic, providing an authentic taste of traditional Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere was bustling, with the restaurant filled with the sounds of diners enjoying their meals. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our meal. The menu offered a vast selection of dim sum options, with a wide variety of flavors and textures to choose from. The highlight of our meal was the steamed dumplings, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The shrimp and pork shumai were particularly delicious, with the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The baked pork buns were also a standout, with a fluffy, slightly sweet bread exterior and a deliciously seasoned pork filling. The prices were reasonable, given the quality and quantity of food, making this restaurant an excellent value for the money. We left feeling satisfied and happy, having enjoyed a delightful meal. Overall, this dim sum restaurant is a great choice for anyone looking to experience authentic Chinese cuisine. With delicious food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere, it's a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family.

The One was great! We didn’t make any reservations, we were a party of 6 and we got in fairly quickly within 12 mins we were sitting at our table and ordered immediately. We went in around 10:15am. It was very busy however service was still very prompt and good. We had an amazing experience here and was treated very nicely and although I don’t speak mandarin or Cantonese, they treated us very well and served us in English with care and kindness. Thank you guys! We’ll be back

Fantastic! That's all I have to say. When we first looked at the menu, I was admittedly skeptical cus it is pricier than your average dimsum place but once your dining experience begins, you'll see that it's more than reflective of the price. Their servers are attentive, the portions are huge and the dishes are quite tasty. There were a couple of dishes I didn't like as much nut for the most part it was excellent. I already recommended to our friends and will be coming back again soon. It does get pretty busy on weekends so arrive early to get a table or you'll have to wait for a while.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, I came to the restaurant for brunch with my friends. Excellent service! The ingredients are fresh, especially the live spot prawns are really delicious. I’d love to come back again sometime!

The restaurant is very busy… recommend having a reservation. Food is good and portions are good as well. The atmosphere and layout is not bad. Ordered few dishes, including water spouts… cook differently… not with garlic… too watery.

The deep fried oysters are to die for! All seafood was really fresh and the service is great.

Took my mom here for her birthday dinner. Reservation is required at this place due to the popularity and limited seating. The grand entrance of the restaurant immediately brings you to the Cantonese part of China. The dining area is quite spacious but due to Covid, was sparsely decorated with round tables. A party of three was not common since most tables were almost fully surrounded with big families. The menu wasn’t overly complicated. There are written in both Chinese and English. We went with the easy route by taking a prebuilt course for four (later found out that it’s too much food)! The duck, the 🦀 and the sweet and sour chicken were delicious and were exactly what we were expecting. The service was decent also. If I have to point out anything negative: the waiter forgot our drink order but was quickly corrected after a gentle reminder. Overall not a bad place if you like Cantonese food, definitely better than any Chinese restaurant in Oregon😅.
