Been coming here for the Sunday morning boys-only breakfast and it's always been consistent every time. Service is friendly, efficient, and coffee never finds the bottom of our mugs. Parking is plentiful. The place usually gets busy past 9am on Sundays. One criticism are the home fries, they are consistently soggy and/or undercooked even if you ask them to go to town with it. Fix that and it's a hard to beat breakfast spot.

Service is great, and food is ok, but coffee too light which is the main problem. When you enjoy all day breakfast, you need a good coffee.

Came here and the establishment felt dirty. Waitress was nice and accommodating but the food was really bad. I couldn't finish my meal because the taste was horrible. I had the breakfast that included salmon and hollandaise sauce. The salmon did not taste fresh, the sauce was excessive and gross and the potatoes tasted old. The orange juice I ordered did not taste freshly squeezed more like it was from a juice box. I will not be coming back to this establishment again even though I do like the Sunset Grill chain and have only had positive experiences from other locations till now. Hopefully this was just an off day for them as it was a weekday.

First time at this location, service was top notch🙏🏻👌🏻 Omelettes were super delicious and fresh. Amazing selection of breakfasts. Chef who made our food was super friendly and cordial. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely be returning back to this location soon!🙂🙏🏻

I came with no appetite.. seeing the ambience my mood started to change for better.. watching chef preparing breakfast orders my taste buds slowly and steadily started to become greedy. Sudden deep state was felt in my tank.. ordered "French Connection " on menu card. What a delicious breakfast was that.. french toasts with maple syrup and eggs made up to my choice. The service provider MS SHEHZAN was remarkable with her exquisite 👌service from time we were seated. Price tag affordable as well.. Stay safe by maintaining C19 protocols at all times.. Came in again on 22nd September 2021.. Excellent breakfast 👌.. BUT BUT BUT Ms ANDRA was helpful and polite to guide us on mandatory proof required to prove that we were fully VACCINATED.. MAY GOD BLESS HER INCLUDING HER FAMILY FOR SUCH HUMBLENESS AND HELPFUL. REMEMBER TO CARRY PROOF OF BEING VACCINATED FULLY.

Great food, Great Service, Reasonable Prices! All the food is cooked perfectly and comes out hot and quick. They have some of the best homefries if not the best in town.

I came to this location on a Sunday afternoon at around 1pm. It's a larger and more spacious location than the one on Yonge Street. The restaurant wasn't full, but it still took a few minutes before we could be seated. We ordered the usual, but it took an unexpectedly long time. The food is good, but service could be better. No one came to see how we were doing, or if we needed anything. It was quite difficult to get the server's attention to refill the coffee or bring us the syrup for the pancakes. I don't even think we got a smile or anything. I get that the servers might be tired after the Sunday morning brunch rush, but still.

Great breakfast all day special... pancakes, bacon and eggs for $6. All done really well and very good, friendly service. Also no rushing as I lingered over 3rd coffee refill and the newspaper. downgrading rating to 3stars. On second visit, the server forgot my order and it finally arrived (pancakes separate from eggs) 45+ mins after ordering.

Pretty much the worst service I've ever encountered...which is a shame because I would have come to this location more often if it wasn't for the bad experience I had. Mind you, I've been in the industry as a server for over 15 years and I have worked at Sunset Grill in the past for over 5 years. My expectation may be slightly higher, but this was just another level of awful and was based more on the choices the server made and not skill. I drove 15 minutes out of my way because I was craving a Sunset Vegan Hash. Could have (should have) gone to Sunnyside or 3 Coins, but chose to drive north to try out this Sunset Grill. I come in, the male at the front waves me to a seat. About 2 minutes after sitting down, 4 construction workers came in. I assume they work on the plaza and come in often, because as soon as the server saw them he got four coffees and waters promptly poured and served. At this point I haven't been greeted. Okay, that's fine..he knows them. He's coming right over. Wrong! He's going to take their order first...because they're regulars and know what they want. Ok cool. He's going to come right over to me and you know.....see if I would like anything? He does. I think okay, he's going to do the smart thing and punch in my ONE order before the FOUR big breakfast orders from customers who CAME AFTER ME. Why would I have such high hopes for something so simple? Nope. I watch four grown men scarf down their breakfast while waiting for my potatoes and guacamole. At this point, I've been here for almost 10 minutes and still haven't received my coffee. Oh, because he used it all for the men who came after me..so he had to wait for a new pot. I eat my food, enjoy one coffee even though I would have loved a refill...NO QUALITY CHECK...no nothing. I finish, and go to the front (because ya know, I used to work here so I know this...who knows how long I would have waited for him to provide my receipt because that would require actually giving service) I still didn't gave the heart to give a 'bad' tip so I gave him 18%. He didn't say ANYTHING...not a word. Oh, because there was a male uber driver right behind me picking up food so he waved me away. Didn't thank me, say come again, have a nice day.....literally not a word. Just such a shame to see the service industry become so terrible. No wonder we are being replaced by robots and computers. Food was good though, and the east Asian cook/chef was actually very friendly. I thanked him for the food and he was the one to tell me you're welcome and to have a good day. Maybe they should try switching roles!

When you're thinking about breakfast, brunch, or lunch, the Sunset Grill is the place to go. The menu is uncomplicated. Just about every way you can have eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, and cheese is on the menu. My choice is always meatatarian, so the meaty (and mighty) poutine was my choice, while poached eggs graced the plates of my partners in lunch. Everyone went away satisfied, including my wallet. The staff are more than happy to see to your tea and coffee, but consider for a moment the hot chocolate with more whipped cream than you can get from one cow. A truly enjoyable gastronomical meal!

Food was hot and fresh. Waitress was friendly. A girl came around asking if need coffee refill. You pay at the front on way out. It's open concept so privacy isn't going to happen.

First time visiting this place and it did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and service was good. We chose different breakfast and all were good. They keep refilling the coffee. Coffee is not strongly brewed but it's good. We tried the blueberry cheese french toast - it was just too good. It's not halal but one can choose variety of options with eggs. They also have fish. Overall it was satisfactory👌

Do not order the vegan hash unless you want a plate of potatoes for $11.00. Very disappointing. As a vegan option, my recommendation to the restaurant chain is a tofu scramble with a good portion of veg.

Absolutely awesome service by staff, Food here is really delicious and fresh, fine and positive decorum to sit and eat in the start of your day. Really Thankful to the staff for great service and so welcoming.

Went there for a quick breakfast. The bacon and eggs were hot and served quickly. Restaurant was relatively clean. When I went to the restroom the hallway from the dinning room was clean, but once I turned the corner to get to the restroom I thought I had entered there storage room….mop buckets and high chairs lined the hallway, worst of this is there is NO way a wheelchair could ever get through or a person with a cane would have a very hard time.

We ordered "breakfast for lunch" for our office team and the food was delicious; full bellies and happy smiles all around. It was a great experience, thank you!

Service is fast. Food and coffee is served hot. Coffee is refilled frequently. Servers are very friendly and courteous. Washrooms are spotless. Even when restaurant is full, no one rushes you out the door.

fresh and delicious. But no customer services at all. Since the minutes that we step in, the server just stranded inside with no smile and notified us find whatever seat we want. I realized that she may be not in mood since she worked on Sunday morning. But it won’t be helpful as representing the nice franchise for sunset grill.

It's our first time at this branch of sunset grill... We hated it ..all of it .. food is not good no flavors whatsoever.... Tables are not clean at all, we could literally see dust everywhere... Guys behind the kitchen using their bare hands to hold food and moving it from one plate to another without using gloves...the Waitress there made us feel like we owe her money or something... Not friendly or welcoming at all... Never ever going again to any sunset grill

Got to Costco a little early yesterday. Decided to get breakfast at a near by restaurant. Ordered coffee, bacon and eggs and toast. Very good breakfast.

Didn't get the waitresses name. She was the one with the injured wrist. Superb service and very attentive to our needs. Bosses should give her raise.

Went here with my step-dad earlier today around 10 am after finishing work. The waitress who served us was very kind and helpful, the food was also cooked great and was ready in a timely fashion. Overall the experience and the food was excellent, I will be coming back again for sure.

Yummy food. Good service. Menu is a bit pricey but not bad. Large portions. Food is fresh and coffee is good.

The food and service is excellent! Large portions, food was served fresh and hot. I did not even have to ask for hot sauce and I got 3 different kinds, bonus! The coffee is better than many other breakfast places too! 👍
