Food is surprisingly underwhelming for the reputation of this restaurant chain. Both dishes I ordered were supposed to have seafood and I could literally count how few pieces of seafood were there. The soup broth lacks flavours. Both dishes tasted/looked like they had been cooked by someone who has never had any culinary training. Waste of $55 for something even I can make better.

This restaurant really doesn't live up to its name. We ordered stir fried squid over rice and a bowl of knife cut noodles. There was barely any meat or toppings in the noodles and the broth was watery with no flavour. The side dishes all tasted odd, like they were left sitting for a long time. The service was alright but overall just not a good place for Korean food. Prices are also high for what you get.

The worst pork bone soup i've ever had. I ordered take out for 2 pork bone soup. cost $36 something . The container was full with soup with only 2 pieces of "pork bone " meat , and half of each piece are fatty and not eatable at all. The other 2 locations (yonge/finch) and (Woodbine /7) server better food

Terrible. Ordered a take-out Pork bone soup and food was cold by the time I got home (5 minutes) the packaging indicated that it most likely was frozen the potato was also undercooked and the kimchi was too spicy. 12 dollars 10% off with cash. I easily could have bought a frozen porkbone soup from the grocery store for 5 dollars less save the car ride there.

Reasonable priced classic Korean comfort food, side dishes are limited but actual entrées are above average I've been going here for a couple years now and it maintains to be very good. The staff if very kind and accommodating in certain modifications. I give them 8/10!

I’ve been to this Owl location in Richmond Hill on multiple occasions over the years. While menu prices have steadily increased, the Korean flavors here are still among the better ones nearby. After all, the Owl chain is among the original Korean food in the city. The go-to is still the Pork Bone Soup in either individual portions or the family hotpot style that feeds 2-3 people. I also enjoyed the heat of the spicy squid sizzling plate which came in a generous portion. Both of these and many other dishes come with rice. Side dishes tended to be slight let-downs, as the house kimchi didn’t taste great here. I was also surprised they ran out of bibimbap when we tried to order it initially. The service here is straight to the point without the customary friendliness at some other Owl locations. The interior is clean although on the smaller side. It has one door straight into the interior which gets chilly. Fortunately Korean food is hot comfort food.

Consistent service and quality of food for the chain. There are definitely better places for authentic Korean food but these outside chain locations can offer a nice alternative when you're not in the Korea town areas of the city. Parking here can be challenging at times as it is limited in the plaza. The restaurant can get filled with students from the nearby high school during weekday lunch hours. Seating is fairly limited.

Spend $70 for seafood pancake and two soon tofu, the seafood pancake is uncook, green onion is RAW and cold. Soup is plain. I won’t order again:(

The food here is amazing! Had the following dishes: Family sized Pork bone soup 2 different types of Korean fried chicken (both delicious). Beef short ribs (probably the best I've ever had) Will definitely going again and again!

The pork katsu with rice is nice. The fried pork is crispy. The flour surface is thin. The meat is of good quality. The sweet and sour sauce for the katsu is well balanced. Instead of pouring on the katsu and undoing crispy surface, it is served in a separate small container. This reflects that the chef attends to details. Also appreciate very much that furikake / rice seasoning is applied. What impresses me most is the lemon dressing on the salad. This makes the salad strikingly refreshing in particular in the late summer. The attendants are friendly. (We spent almost two hours there but they were friendly throughout the meal). The environment is also good. A delightful experience in dining at this restaurant .

Had the pork bone soup, stone bowl bibimbap, stir fried pork. All dishes were solid and hearty. The pork bone soup had huge meaty pieces of tender, fall off the bone pork bones. Food came pretty quickly and the waitresses also gave us refills of the side dishes. Really enjoyed the meal here!

The best Owl of Minerva franchise! I used to go to it so often in high school and now I still crave the Pork Bone Soup (Gamjatang) all the time!! Love the service here, they are all incredibly nice ☺️

I was in the area and this place caught my eye. I decided to stop by for a quick lunch. They had an extensive lunch menu. I ordered dakchulpan which was spicy chicken with vegetables served with rice and kimchi and a drink. The service was quick and professional. The food was really tasty and I enjoyed my lunch. Take out container was sealed and not resealable which was inconvenient. If you pay cash there is a 5% discount. Worth the visit,

We ordered takeout recently. All the meals tasted good and the prices were good compared to other Korean restaurants. It has become our regular spot for a quick Korean meal.

Overall a very tasty place to eat if you are only there to eat! The decor was lacking but the food and staff was excellent. Great place for a quick bite at a fair price.

quality is worse than the FMP location. ordered the beef soup and it tasted like water even when adding salt and pepper. the beef was unchewable i had to spit it out. i told the server and she said thats how its supposed to be... then proceeded to argue that i shouldve added more salt and that they dont do dish changes. then she talked to the chef who agreed to change. she stayed at our table with her hand on our chair to try an intimidate us. i dont know why she felt the need to do this and definitely will never be back and do not recommend this place at all.

The food is so tasty, but may be too spicy for my stomach.

It’s the best choice when you don’t know what to eat. My favorite is the pork bone soup. And seeing the price going up during these years... sigh...

Small but reasonably clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Pork bone soup is a must try. Generous amount of side dishes offered. Cash only unless over $20 (Visa or Debit).

I ordered for pick up and was told to come pick up in 15 mins, upon arrival 20 mins after they told me it wasn't ready. They in fact havent even started my order when I came, the store was empty and there was no other orders waiting to pick up on the table either. Very bad customer service. I had to wait there for another 15 mins for my food

A hidden gem in Richmond Hill for Korean food. The pork bone soup here is my go to dish and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly and efficient. It's a small place so seating is limited.
