Booked 2 rooms for 1 night. Arrived to check in and smelled Marijuana as soon as we stepped out of the car. Husband and I immediately told the desk clerk, which spoke very poor English, we were concerned about the drug use outside and he wasnt concerned at all. No refunds. Went in rooms and they smelled terrible. The sheets were dirty and put on inside out, carpet was filthy. Walls in bathroom were spot painted and had water damage. One bathroom look to have a small caliber gunshot hole painted over. Before bed, my husband killed a roach crawling on his arm. Since no refunds, we toughed it out and left early next morning. The housekeeper was on the walk outside with a cart that had a moldy box to keep things in and had a cigarette hanging out her mouth. People live long term in this place...as far as a hot breakfast, there was none. Just cereal and some juice...keep away from this place. Go up to the next exit. This is going to be reported to the police and the Better Business Bureau. This place is not fit for public use.

Pain in the butt having to turn around to get in there but that isn't their fault. Service was quick. Room was nice, however.... door handle for the bathroom falls off on the inside locking you in til you can jimmyrig it. The toilet seat was not attached. A lot of cooking smells coming from the halls. We had come in to meet some friends, meeting in the middle for a few drinks. Were going to stay, elected to drive home. $218 for the room guys, you should have simple things like a toilet seat and a door handle worked out.

The rooms are partially clean especially the floor, it was so dusty and I don't think it was vacuumed or anything. The bed sheets were so wrinkly and the pillow case had a dark spot on it. Overall, the hotel looks old, the rooms looks and feel old because of the dust and dirt. Even for the relatively low price, I've had better.

Our room was huge! Floor was nice. It seemed clean. There was duct tape on the edge of the bathroom door, I guess holding down the edge so people don't trip. I also lost an expensive item; they claim it isn't there; so far. This was my own fault for leaving it in the room but simply calling the specific hotel is such a pain! Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very basic. They offered boiled eggs, bagels, jam, and there was a waffle maker. Good place to stay short term.

My sincere appreciation for the exceptional service and wonderful experience my family and I had during our recent stay at the Travelodge Richmond Hill. I would like to commend your staff members for their outstanding hospitality and commend the impressive renovations made to the rooms. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness by your dedicated team. The front desk staff, in particular, stood out with their professionalism and willingness to assist with any requests or inquiries we had throughout our stay. Their genuine care and attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcome, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere from the very beginning. Furthermore, I would like to express my admiration for the newly renovated rooms at the Travelodge Richmond Hill. The attention to detail and thoughtful design choices truly made our stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. The rooms were immaculately clean, and it was evident that great effort was made to provide guests with a modern and stylish environment. The comfortable beds, tasteful décor, and ample amenities added a touch of luxury to our stay, exceeding our expectations.

Staff very nice and friendly. The hallway did not smell the best though! The breakfast was average too!

Poor quality all the way! There is no blind and only a thin curtain, which doesn't even block out the ambient light during the night, bright as day while you sleep. AC is making loud noise as well, have fun get some rest! Avoid this at all cost.

The room smelled, breakfast was OK. The rooms looked old and worn out. Bathroom is too small for 2 queen size beds.

Overall, it was a very poor stay. We booked 3 nights but only stayed for one because we didn't feel that hotel comfort. I do not recommend this hotel. Staff is nice, beds are comfy, floors are nice, but dirty washroom. Don't let the pictures online fool you.

Really clean hotel, cozy with a wonderful staff! You’re close to everything with free parking lot. Breakfast was nice. It’s a good hotel to stay for tourists or if you’re visiting the city for couple of days!

I think they are doing renovations so it might change to be fair but the lobby, stairs and halls were very dirty and unkempt. The room was recently updated and clean. Service was good and breakfast below standards, we opted to go out for food. No bar or restaurant.

This hotel is very well located, lots of restaurants and other businesses with a few steps. We stayed for two nights and were pleasantly surprised, based on the price, I wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel was very clean, the room was well organized and cleaned and very large. I will be staying there again on my next trip in 3 weeks. Definitely worth it, not to mention that breakfast is included in that price😉

Great for a quick overnight stay the rooms on the third floor were updated and very nice and the beds were super comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised. Great value.

The employees are amazing, they will try to accommodate you as much as they can. Kid friendly, free parking, Good price, clean rooms ,there's 1 washer and dryer in the basement floor (coins), very pet friendly ($20) per pet/per night (bring your dog cage, very close walking distance to amenities, there's plazas on all sides with grocery and other stuff, there trails 8 mins drive from the hotel. Will definitely recommend.

For the price and area I'll give it 4 stars. Had things like a fridge and microwave if I remember correctly. Free breakfast served in the morning was nothing fancy but definitely appreciated and you a free to make as many waffles as you want.

This is a very comfortable and convenient hotel. The outside looks a bit warn, but the lobby and rooms have all been nicely renovated. The beds were very comfortable and the showers had plenty of hot water. The free breakfast was very nice with make your own waffles, hot and cold cereal, bagels, bread, English muffins, egg salad and hard boiled eggs, good coffee and tea, and a friendly staff. All at a reasonable rate for Toronto.

My experience here at this hotel was very nice. It was not excellent but nice. They were doing construction on the ground floor and still had customers checked in on the ground floor. They should have given is another floor instead. But nevertheless, everything else was really good. I will be going back again for sure

Over all, you get what you are paying for. Little bit old and building is not very well maintained. Air Conditioning was better. No noise from outside and friendly staff

Everything was so good. Very affordable prices and staff are so kind and attends to you quickly. There were some renovations but it doesn’t matter since it’s for the goodness of the business and of course it will be beneficial for customers too. Breakfast is great and rooms are well-ventilated and well-kept.

The front desk service was so quick. The bed was super comfy with nice, lush pillows. However, the shower drain did not work so I couldn’t use the shower in the room otherwise the water would pool. No plunger in the washroom.

Not returning ever. They need a new designer to come in and redo the whole thing. The housekeeping staff need to be trained on how to clean rooms. Was ideal for sleeping and that's it.

Hotel staffs are nice & polite. Room is clean and very comfy. The hotel is in good location, close to Canadas Wonderland and 20 minutes downtown Toronto. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff are very friendly. Beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but only served 6-9am... Would have like it to be a little longer for those late risers. Also, the shower had no hot water which was upsetting.

Stayed here for a few days while travelling to Toronto. Decent location and all available amenities. A bit far from downtown but this was the location available that was pet friendly and part of Wyndham hotels. Room was generally clean. Front desk manager was friendly, helpful and professional. Would recommend this budget standard-fare hotel if you don't mind the distance to downtown.

Great service. We lost something and the Alieen helps us find it. She is such a sweet lady. The rooms good for the price you pay. The service is great 👍

Not bad, clean rooms, friendly staff and no issues checking in..one person whom seemed to work there, after a few times seeing them outside in the parking just stared which made it seem like they were scoping out vehicles at first.

We got the room with the king size bed. It was really comfortable to sleep in. Warm blankets with air conditioner in the room. Also had a mini fridge and single brew coffee maker with disposable cups and a microwave. Was easily accessible with handicap parking available and elevator. Continental breakfast was available from 6am to 9am and consisted of yogurt, bananas, and a waffle maker. Individually wrapped slices of bread with toaster, jam and peanut butter. Coffee and juice boxes for beverages. Enjoyed our stay

Don't let the outside of the hotel put you off. The rooms are huge and very clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The staff are very nice, and have great suggestions for local places to eat. especially at midnight.

Great staff, room very clean. I see they renovated bathrooms (could use new furniture) but all and all great stay. Not my first time there. Close to all amenities is a bonus. Still recommend

Stayed for a night and everything was great. The reception ladies were super nice. The breakfast was prep in a paper bag and everything inside was good. And the price can't be beat! The outside looked old but inside was nice and very clean. AC worked well and our family loved the wooden floor compared to carpet in other places. Will be back for sure.

Friendly staff and service. Large room, clean, good Wi-Fi and selection of channels to watch. Bed was very uncomfortable and it took a long time to get hot water early in the morning. Didn't get a chance to have the breakfast due to my timings but looked like they had a good selection.

Everything was wonderful during our stay, we came for a curling tournament. Service was fantastic and all the staff were friendly and helpful. All staff are COVID -19 careful and vigilant. Breakfast was great. Kids love the waffle.

Heater not working properly, cold in the room, had to asked the receptionist to transfer me into another room that’s warm and comfortable, and so transferred me, but I was so surprised y at the room is sooo stink and smell cigarette, I was about to turn back but I’m soo tired and needed rest .. so I have to sucked it up. I thought I signed for non smoker .. omg.. not happy. Wouldn’t recommend it. Disgusting.

The staff was friendly, the place was clean. The pillows were not as comfortable as other places I've stayed. Maybe they need to get new ones. I would stay there again, because it's clean and close to lots of shops that I like. The front desk lady was very friendly.

Required amenities were provided. The shower had some hair in it so could have been cleaner. The staff was nice, check in and out was very easy. I checked in late with no issue. I asked for a first floor room near an exit and had no issues with getting that. Overall I'm happy to have a place I can take a puppy and this was the most inexpensive option I could find. I would happily stay again.

Bad. Overall poor. Website said there was a pool but there has never been a whole pool here. cigarette and marijuana-like aroma. Hair is all over the beds, which are not clean. Our request for pillows was treated as an inconvenience by the unfriendly lobby attendant. Unfriendly surroundings and dirty floors. Don't even bother to bring your kids here. Would rather spend the night on the road.

Don't let the walk to your room scare you as it did me. At check in, I was told that the elevator is broken, as I walked upstairs I saw stained and patched walls, but upon entering the room, what a delight!!! Great room!! Everything was perfect!! We'll kept room and bathroom!!! Impeccable!!!

  • 5/5 Allison L. 1 year ago on Google
Super cozy king bed with nice white sheets. Room was very clean. TV was nice. View out the window wasn't great but for the location you can't ask for much.

I can't say enough good things about this place. We had traveled on my daughters bday, when we arrived to the room she was greated with a helium ballon, a stuffed animal and a crown. Amazing staff that go above and beyond. I'm other news, beds were amazing breakfast was ok.
